"Having stayed @ Les Balcons many times, this unit was so well appointed for a gourmet meal or just a baguette and jam on their lovely deck. The deck had the best views of any and we had daily yellow birds called bananakiets who took a bird bath in front of us every morning. We rarely left the apartment for breakfast as we had fresh baguettes delivered every morning and those, along with the boats from the Marina below us and the birds, gave us plenty of time to do what we came there for..RELAX!!!
Is is near many French restaurants and small boutique grocery stores down the hill with Oyster Pond in view on the Dutch side of the island.
We always enjoy conversations with Carin and David and love the proximity of Orient Beach when we are there.
I would recommend Les Balcons Unit 18 for privacy, beautiful views, lovely furnishings and the ease for Americans of a 110 line so we could use our appliances and plug in our cell phones and free wifi.
Enjoyed this holiday tremendously."

"We stayed at Villa Cocinelle with 8 of us (2 families) in the house. It was a very nice house and we especially appreciated that each bedroom had it's own shower and toilet. We especially loved the two outdoor seating areas, the dining table and chairs for all 8 of us and the pool with a fabulous view! We also appreciated that the kayaks were included with the house and enjoyed being able to kayak out to the sand bar and over to Pinel Island. Bruno was helpful with any questions we had and our cleaning lady gave us the best suggestions for groceries (Super U for the better produce) and Simply Market (the closest). She also gave us a great tip for BBQ at Lolo's in Grand Case. We also ordered pizza and salad twice from Villa Pizza just up the road - it was delicious!! Just a few other things to be aware of: 1) there are not basic amenities provided such as toilet paper, hand soap or kleenex. We had to purchase those ourselves which in the US are typically provided in a house rental. However, several power adapters were provided which was great! 2) I would agree with a few others about the mosquitos. Some of the people in our party did get more bites than others. Some of us did not get any at all. 3) We also used the washing machine but needed to use our own laundry soap. And there are lines outside to hang dry the clothes. 4) Finally, one caution is to not pull into the driveway. There is a gate lock in the ground that nearly caused dameage to our rental car so we just stayed parked on the road. Overall, it was a great stay and certainly a very quiet location and easily accomodated all 8 of us."

"We very much enjoyed staying at Villa Valhalla 2 wk. ago. The 4 bedroom house worked out perfectly for our family get-away with our son and his family and our daughter and her family. We loved the views and having a pool. We were disappointed in Dawn Beach with the strong current, winds, waves and sea weed. We much preferred Mullet Bay even though it was a 40 min. drive to that side of the island. The restaurants nearby were great -- good food at a fair price. Catherine and Ken were wonderful and helpful and it was a great perk having a home phone and cell phone to call both the Dutch and French side to make dinner reservations. The other draw back was having air conditioning only in the bedrooms. While there was a nice breeze throughout the day being on the windward side of the island, the mosquitos and no-seemums had a feast on us even with bug spray that we all brought."

"This was the fifth consecutive year my wife and I have spent multiple weeks in this condo in the gated community AquaMarina near Maho, Cupecoy, the French side of the island as well as all the activities and restaurants in Simpson Bay. The condo is the perfect size for two people. The kitchen has just been remodeled and now has a dishwasher and other upgrades. We have always found the washer and dryer to be very beneficial as well.
Bruce and Joyce do a great job maintaining their property and have always been very attentive to any of our needs. The on-site property manager Robert works closely with the owners to address any immediate needs.
This property is under 24 hour security protection. We have always felt safe during our stays.
We plan to spend multiple weeks again next year in this condo and can heartily recommend that couples consider staying here while vacationing on Sint Maarten."
