"We stayed in Van's unit with our family over Christmas and New Year's two years ago and it was one of the most memorable family vacations we have had. I beg to differ with the ONE negative review. Van is EXTREMELY attentive to the needs of his renters. Any issues we had were dealt with immediately by Van and the staff. We have nothing but wonderful things to say about the property and his attentiveness to detail. We have been to St. Maarten many times and our best trip was spent in his unit."

"Three of us stayed in this beautiful two bedroom condo for two weeks! Itis very centrally located in the quaint Creole town of Grand Case, right on
the beach! The highlight of the building is the balcony overlooking the
beach which runs the width of the three story building. The second and
third floor units (we were on the second floor) are completely furnished
with table for six, and large lounge area. You can sit out there all day
out of the sun if you like, and around 4:00 when the sun starts to come
around and it gets hot, you can move out to the balcony on the street side
where there is always a lovely breeze and shade at that time of the day, and
its a great spot for people watching! The bedrooms are on the street side
of the building. One has 2 twin beds and an adjoining shower/sink, while
the other has a king bed with ensuite shower/sink, and they are air
conditioned with very quiet units. There is only one toilet located
between the two bedrooms. The kitchen/sitting room are in between the
balcony and bedrooms and face the ocean with sliding glass doors the entire
width. There is no a/c in this area however if you open the back french
doors you get a nice cross breeze. The kitchen is very well equipped but
small. The lower floor is split between and office on the beach side one
one side and second bathroom, with a shower on the balcony for washing the
sand off. There is also a shared laundry room located in the back. There is
a small wooden deck off the front with stairs down to the beach. Beach
chairs and towels are provided as well as all other linens. There is also a
charcoal Weber grille for your use on the deck. The beach is very quiet, at
times we were the only people there. The sand is fine and white and the
water perfect for swimming because this area of the bay is protected so
there are no big waves. The view if the entire bay is fantastic. There is
one parking spot per unit off street which is great because the street is
one lane, one way and parking is hard to come by, especially in the evenings
when the shops and fabulous French restaurants open and the tourists from
all over the island flood in.
The building is very clean and well maintained. It is secured from the
street and beach sides with locking iron gates and has a security system, as
well as metal roll down shutters across the beach balconies. There is
satellite TV however there are only French channels. The wifi reception is
pretty good but can be a bit"

"This condo is very well situated in Grand Case, directly on the beach, with a view that you can't help but look at as you enjoy sitting on the patio. My husband and I spent every morning and night here, listening to soft jazz and sipping our wine. The location is ideal if you plan to spend a lot of time dining at any of the fantastic restaurants in town. We were also fortunate to enjoy Mardi Gras on Tuesday night in town, which is a great sight to see!
We did rent a car from the nearby Econo Cars, which was very convenient. Beware that many roads are narrow and there is quite a bit of traffic. Parking is limited, but we always managed to find a spot with little difficulty. Having a car is essential if you plan on exploring all that the island has to offer. Some highlights that I recommend are a visit to the Loterie Farm, the Butterfly Farm and a short ferry trip to Pinel Island.
I think it's important to note that a couple of details were overlooked, specifically: the street address given to us by the owner was incorrect and the name of the condo complex was not provided ahead of time (which resulted in a very aggravated taxi driver and several stressful moments at the start of our vacation) and there was an undesirable odor in the kitchen area that may have been from a pet being in the unit previously (although it dissipated when the patio door was open).
On a final positive note, the property manager (Anna) was prompt, friendly and very helpful. And, when it was important to reach the owner for clarification about the unit number/location, she was very responsive, which we greatly appreciated."

"We stayed at Villa Cocinelle with 8 of us (2 families) in the house. It was a very nice house and we especially appreciated that each bedroom had it's own shower and toilet. We especially loved the two outdoor seating areas, the dining table and chairs for all 8 of us and the pool with a fabulous view! We also appreciated that the kayaks were included with the house and enjoyed being able to kayak out to the sand bar and over to Pinel Island. Bruno was helpful with any questions we had and our cleaning lady gave us the best suggestions for groceries (Super U for the better produce) and Simply Market (the closest). She also gave us a great tip for BBQ at Lolo's in Grand Case. We also ordered pizza and salad twice from Villa Pizza just up the road - it was delicious!! Just a few other things to be aware of: 1) there are not basic amenities provided such as toilet paper, hand soap or kleenex. We had to purchase those ourselves which in the US are typically provided in a house rental. However, several power adapters were provided which was great! 2) I would agree with a few others about the mosquitos. Some of the people in our party did get more bites than others. Some of us did not get any at all. 3) We also used the washing machine but needed to use our own laundry soap. And there are lines outside to hang dry the clothes. 4) Finally, one caution is to not pull into the driveway. There is a gate lock in the ground that nearly caused dameage to our rental car so we just stayed parked on the road. Overall, it was a great stay and certainly a very quiet location and easily accomodated all 8 of us."
