Perfect for Quiet Relaxing
"We recently stayed at Villa Belle Vue and had a wonderful time. The home is clean, comfortable, and private. It has a wonderful huge pool with an amazing 180 degree view of the island and ocean. We did have an issue with the A/C going out in one bedroom, but with as cold as the main part of the house gets... we just left the door open and used the fan. It wasn't that big of an inconvenience. We truly enjoyed all the amenities of this home. If a quiet private vacation home is what you are looking for... then this fits the bill. We will definitely be returning.
Pauline, the property manager, is wonderful and a joy to speak with."

"Charmante résidence au calme et idéalement situé à deux pas de la plage, restaurants et supérette, proche de la plage du Galion, véritable paradis pour petits (et grands)
Propriétaires accueillants et très serviables, appartements propres et fonctionnels, avec accès direct à la piscine.
Bref, un excellent séjour, à recommander !"

"We stayed a week and enjoyed every minute. The beach is great. You do need to walk a bit down to get a good sandy beach. The condo was great. Has everything you need (except you will need to buy more toilet paper, they only provide what is on the rolls, no extra rolls). Helpful hint, the bar next door is over priced and rude. Take the walk down the beach to Rainbow, the one with the red umbrellas where a bucket of beer is $15 and you can sit all day in their umbrellas, plus the beach is nicer down there. The food is great. Find the bakery where a baguette is $1."

"The place was really great - just as advertised, really well laid out and thoughfully equipped. Dora and Phillipe are great to deal with.
For getting around the Island - figure out the Minibus - Taxis are VERY expensive. Hilda's Windsor Castle in Simpson Bay is the Bomb! and Elvis at Sky's the Limit in Grand Case - big thumbs up for local, or "LoLo" food. Take cash if you're exploring the island - not all machines work. The French side is more Lonely Planet style traveler - bit more earthy. Check out SO French near the apartment. It lives up to the name. Some of the best Foie Gras I've had on 3 continents.
The walk up the hill? Sure, it can be a bit of a thing if you're sunstroked and tired at the end of the day. But truly, it wasn't that bad. If it weren't for that hill, I'd have gotten fat with all the good French food I ate.
For god's sake remember to wear sunscreen and a hat, and like anyone who's read Hitchiker's Guide to the Universe knows, know where your towel is. They cost 4 Euros on Orient beach. I know where mine is: I left it on Dora and Phillipe's railing :D"
