"There were 7 of us that stayed at La Dolce Vita for my husband's 50th Birthday. We were there from March 21st-28th 2015. The House is beautiful and so is the view. There were plenty of towels, sheets ect.The pool was great. It was a nice place to take a dip after a day at the beach. Natasha was lovely, she was very helpful,Gary is lucky to have her. We loved watching the humming birds!! Thank you La Dolce Vita for making our stay in St Maarten so enjoyable!!!"

"We just finished our first stay at this villa and had a wonderful time. Our family vacation comprised 8 adults so we made use of the whole villa both upstairs and downstairs. The villa is nice and clean and beautiful; the pool is clean and inviting and was used every day; the beach really is only a 5 minute walk away; the television had more than enough to keep some of the younger adults happy; and all of us used the WIFI with no issues. The kitchen was well equipped and had an induction stove which was a first for us and we used it often. There were 3 or 4 French coffee/pastry shops on the walk to the beach and we used them frequently. There are 6 or so great restaurants where we ate dinner on two evenings. There is also a very well stocked convenience/grocery store. The beach has great sand and bars/restaurants with clean rest rooms and chairs/umbrellas can be rented from several restaurants ($20 or less for two chairs and an umbrella). We grilled out at the villa twice and we drove to Grand Case (very short ride) on two nights - once to visit the much recommended LOLO named Taste of the Town and then another to visit a French restaurant (of which there are many). We completed every jigsaw puzzle we could find. We met both the owner and property manager and they were very responsive and helpful.
Very happy with our choice to stay at this villa!

"This condo is very well situated in Grand Case, directly on the beach, with a view that you can't help but look at as you enjoy sitting on the patio. My husband and I spent every morning and night here, listening to soft jazz and sipping our wine. The location is ideal if you plan to spend a lot of time dining at any of the fantastic restaurants in town. We were also fortunate to enjoy Mardi Gras on Tuesday night in town, which is a great sight to see!
We did rent a car from the nearby Econo Cars, which was very convenient. Beware that many roads are narrow and there is quite a bit of traffic. Parking is limited, but we always managed to find a spot with little difficulty. Having a car is essential if you plan on exploring all that the island has to offer. Some highlights that I recommend are a visit to the Loterie Farm, the Butterfly Farm and a short ferry trip to Pinel Island.
I think it's important to note that a couple of details were overlooked, specifically: the street address given to us by the owner was incorrect and the name of the condo complex was not provided ahead of time (which resulted in a very aggravated taxi driver and several stressful moments at the start of our vacation) and there was an undesirable odor in the kitchen area that may have been from a pet being in the unit previously (although it dissipated when the patio door was open).
On a final positive note, the property manager (Anna) was prompt, friendly and very helpful. And, when it was important to reach the owner for clarification about the unit number/location, she was very responsive, which we greatly appreciated."

"This is my second stay at this home in Beacon Hill. All of the rooms in the home are well apportioned. The kitchen has every gadget a cook could want, the bedrooms are all roomy with plenty of space and cabinetry, and updated beautifully. Love the auto shutters that were within the windows, not only to help darken a room, but to cool off the sun on days before we might turn on the air conditioning for an hour or so. The landscaping around the home is something I really enjoyed, need a little greenery to get me relaxed with a little wine at dusk, and the windex blue ocean waves really bring you into that relaxation zone, add a little music to the mix with the outdoor speakers were the icing on the cake. We love walking in that area,we tend to walk for one or two hours every morning, and it is easy to pick up a quick breakfast at the Maho Market to get your breakfast "fuel". We had one couple with us on this trip, had our first drinks at the Driftwood bar, then enjoyed watching some sporting events at Three Amigo's restaurant in Maho and had some really good appetizers there. Our favorite restaurant this trip was at Chesterfields in Phillipsburg, we all enjoyed our seafood dinners there, and shared a wonderful brownie and ice cream sundae afterwards. Spent a nice afternoon at Karakters, first enjoying some tapas, then went swimming for awhile, that was our favorite "beach" day. Can't wait to return to SXM, and all 4 of us agreed, Seaside Retreat is a place that they want to come back to."
