"As returning guests to Bella Mare we highly recommend this condo! We discovered Bella Mare last year and love staying at this condo. The pictures you see our very accurate. We've been to the island 22x and Bella Mare is our favourite place to stay. The location is excellent, walking distance to shopping and restaurants, though we recommend renting a car to truly explore everything this beautiful island has to offer. We especially loved relaxing on the beach front loungers. The condo is very clean and has every thing you could possibly need including a BBQ for cooking dinners beachside. We look forward to returning next year."Guest: Kim C. Date of Stay: December 2013 Review Submitted: December 22, 2013View listing
"Our stay was wonderful. I counted 75 steps to the beach and what a lovely beach, a view of some of the mountains, boats in the harbor-really big personal craft, houses on the hillside, Oh, my!. The people are wonderfully nice at the hotel and on the island. Driving is a bit scary, get the smallest car you can but everyone watches out for everyone else. We had a Mustang convertable and it seemed big but I am not spacially challenged. Very nice restaraunts throughout the island and this location is one of the best for lots of restaraunts. More than can eat at in a month but nothing is well marked so if you're not adventurous, stay home or eat at the hotel. It was very nice too. Not hard to find just 2 right turns and follow the signs. Have a navigator so you can watch the road and he/she can look for the signs. First time is almost a bit scary going to Mary's Boon but after a trip or two it's delightful. Have faith and just keep going. One thing about this island is that if you keep going long enough you'll end up back where you started from Due to mechanical problems our flight was cancelled and we were put up in a fancy, smancy newer hotel on the French side. Impressive place but we decided we liked our little place at Mary's Boon better."Guest: Chuck K. Date of Stay: April 2014 Review Submitted: April 15, 2014View listing
"Let me start by saying, this is no high rise mega resort. No crowds or pushy rental kiosks. That being said, let me tell what we experienced. From the beginning, our communications with the owner were timely, clear and concise. Upon our arrival a property manager representative met us at our designated car rental company. We were accompanied to our condo and shown around till we were comfortable. An unexpected welcome basket awaited us, which came in handy since we had not been to the grocery yet. The condo itself was just as advertised. Spotless, well appointed and ideally located in the middle of Simpson Bay Beach. A short beach walk to Karakter and Marys Boon for meals, drinks and entertainment. The owner checked in with us to make sure everything was as expected and to see if there was anything we needed. As a 3 time St Maarten visitor we did lot's of exploring but would always come back to the quiet and peaceful Simpson Bay Beach to unwind in the afternoon. We visited Pinel Island for the first time and would highly recommend. Unfortunetly our week passed all to quickly and we had to return home. Our deposit was quickly refunded. We hope to come back again soon. Great accomodations. Thanx Tony & Anita"Guest: Tony D. Date of Stay: February 2014 Review Submitted: February 15, 2014View listing
"I am so glad I chose this condo and this area of St.Martin. Of all the areas on this island, Simpson Beach was the best as it was in the middle of all the places to explore as well as being so close to resteraunts. This condo has everything you need and more. I loved sitting on the sunny little deck and watching the yachts out front everyday. We felt very safe here as well. The owners have thought of everything like beach chairs, umbrella, coolers, boogie board, bug zappers, and a great blender. It was very clean and Gordon was very friendly and helpful as well. Had an electrical problem and it was fixed quickly. I would stay here again :)"Guest: Cindy Date of Stay: February 2014 Review Submitted: February 26, 2014View listing
Simpson Bay Travel Tips
Simpson Bay Resorts on Antilles Island
Envision horseback riding along a sandy shore with the sun setting on the horizon, and you will have the ideal image of your Simpson Bay resorts vacation. Simpson Bay is located on the Dutch portion of St. Maarten, Antilles. The Antilles are broken into two sides, the Dutch and the French. St. Martin, Antilles is part of the western shore of the Greater Antilles Island. Though it is not a well-known fact, this island is the smallest land mass that two nations share peacefully. Long ago the two nations made an agreement that has allowed both to control portions of the Caribbean resort destination.
Yacht Sightings by Simpson Bay Lodging
Simpson Bay lodging sits above the largest lagoon in the western Caribbean. Simpson Bay Lagoon is shared equally with Saint Martin and St. Maarten. The larger land mass surrounding the lagoon is Saint Martin, the French nation. From St. Maarten rentals, you can watch mega-yachts come through one of the two draw bridges. The bridges are the only way to get into the lagoon as they sit over two narrow canals. Thousands of yachts visit Simpson Bay each year, especially during the summer months. You can also take the trip through the canal by booking a trip through Simpson Bay resorts.
Horseback Rides to St. Maarten Rentals
If you desire a glimpse of the sea around you from a higher altitude, leave your Simpson Bay lodging for the Seaside Nature Park. The nature park is on the Dutch side of St. Maarten, where natural beauty is only eclipsed by the amazing sunsets. Consider packing a picnic dinner at your St. Maarten rentals before going to the park. You can horseback ride, hike or stroll around Cay Bay which is part of the park before watching the sunset. Also consider spending the morning at the park to catch the sunrise.
Fun for the Family at Simpson Bay Resorts
Simpson Bay resorts are for the entire family with pirate treasure hunts, pizza, and soda offered in St. Maarten. Children can even take a pony ride along the shore of Simpson Bay Lagoon before relaxing by the pool at Simpson Bay lodging. St. Maarten rentals are close to many beach bars like Miss Lolo. Parents can feel secure in spending an hour or two at the bars after the children are asleep at this tropical destination.
