"I would have to agree with the other reviews. Four of us spent a wonderful week in Van's unit at the Royal Palm. We had the best time during our stay. The location is GREAT...walked to dinner at the Pizza Galley, Lee's, Buccaneer and strolled to the Carousel Gelato shop after dinner one evening. The condo was perfect for us...ground floor walk out to the beach and palapas. We had everything we needed and then some. The cooler on wheels was perfect for keeping our refreshments cold on the beach. We would definitely stay here again."Guest: Bev S. Date of Stay: May 2014 Review Submitted: June 13, 2014View listing
"My girlfriends and I (8 of us) decided on Rick's Seaside Retreat for our girls vacation. This place did not disappoint, the Jacuzzi tubs were just what we needed after a day of sightseeing. The rooms were spacious and beautiful, the kitchen had everything we needed to make a meal. The only thing negative I could say was the gas took longer than what I'm used to with electric. The villa's view I feel is second to none, and I can't think of a better place to have spent my birthday. Jenny was a jewel and we were thankful for her insights and suggestions. Rick, you and Marie have a beautiful home and I thank you for allowing us to experience a bit of paradise."Guest: Cynthia J. Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: September 7, 2014View listing
"My husband and I along with another couple rented this condo from 3/1-3/8/14. Tim was great to be in contact with. Always answered emails in a timely fashion. It was our very first experience with a vrbo and am really happy it was such a good one. From the time we pulled up out front till the morning we had to leave, the service/place was wonderful. After seeing the pictures online, we had some high expectations. We got to the door and my husband entered first and said "close your eyes", then preceded to lead me in. Wow! Was wonderful to open my eyes to the beautiful view out the living room window. Just like the pictures! We made our breakfasts every morning. There is a nice variety of pans, skillets, glasses, plates, etc. The tile floor is so nice to sweep up with sand being impossible to keep out. We enjoyed our stay tremendously. We ate at several places close by, with my favorite being Izzi's Italian Restaurant. We spent many hours right out front on the beach. It was 12 "man size" steps from the patio to the water! Can't get any better. We met many other nice people on the beach too. The pool was great and seemed like they took very good care of it. The people at the desk were wonderful, introducing themselves upon arrival. All in all, it was a great place! We hope to return again one day! It was really a treat being on the first floor. We don't think it would have been the same to be up a few floors. Thanks, Tim, for letting us call your place home for a week!"Guest: Diane Date of Stay: March 2014 Review Submitted: March 17, 2014View listing
"Our stay was wonderful. I counted 75 steps to the beach and what a lovely beach, a view of some of the mountains, boats in the harbor-really big personal craft, houses on the hillside, Oh, my!. The people are wonderfully nice at the hotel and on the island. Driving is a bit scary, get the smallest car you can but everyone watches out for everyone else. We had a Mustang convertable and it seemed big but I am not spacially challenged. Very nice restaraunts throughout the island and this location is one of the best for lots of restaraunts. More than can eat at in a month but nothing is well marked so if you're not adventurous, stay home or eat at the hotel. It was very nice too. Not hard to find just 2 right turns and follow the signs. Have a navigator so you can watch the road and he/she can look for the signs. First time is almost a bit scary going to Mary's Boon but after a trip or two it's delightful. Have faith and just keep going. One thing about this island is that if you keep going long enough you'll end up back where you started from Due to mechanical problems our flight was cancelled and we were put up in a fancy, smancy newer hotel on the French side. Impressive place but we decided we liked our little place at Mary's Boon better."Guest: Chuck K. Date of Stay: April 2014 Review Submitted: April 15, 2014View listing
Simpson Bay Travel Tips
Simpson Bay Resorts on Antilles Island
Envision horseback riding along a sandy shore with the sun setting on the horizon, and you will have the ideal image of your Simpson Bay resorts vacation. Simpson Bay is located on the Dutch portion of St. Maarten, Antilles. The Antilles are broken into two sides, the Dutch and the French. St. Martin, Antilles is part of the western shore of the Greater Antilles Island. Though it is not a well-known fact, this island is the smallest land mass that two nations share peacefully. Long ago the two nations made an agreement that has allowed both to control portions of the Caribbean resort destination.
Yacht Sightings by Simpson Bay Lodging
Simpson Bay lodging sits above the largest lagoon in the western Caribbean. Simpson Bay Lagoon is shared equally with Saint Martin and St. Maarten. The larger land mass surrounding the lagoon is Saint Martin, the French nation. From St. Maarten rentals, you can watch mega-yachts come through one of the two draw bridges. The bridges are the only way to get into the lagoon as they sit over two narrow canals. Thousands of yachts visit Simpson Bay each year, especially during the summer months. You can also take the trip through the canal by booking a trip through Simpson Bay resorts.
Horseback Rides to St. Maarten Rentals
If you desire a glimpse of the sea around you from a higher altitude, leave your Simpson Bay lodging for the Seaside Nature Park. The nature park is on the Dutch side of St. Maarten, where natural beauty is only eclipsed by the amazing sunsets. Consider packing a picnic dinner at your St. Maarten rentals before going to the park. You can horseback ride, hike or stroll around Cay Bay which is part of the park before watching the sunset. Also consider spending the morning at the park to catch the sunrise.
Fun for the Family at Simpson Bay Resorts
Simpson Bay resorts are for the entire family with pirate treasure hunts, pizza, and soda offered in St. Maarten. Children can even take a pony ride along the shore of Simpson Bay Lagoon before relaxing by the pool at Simpson Bay lodging. St. Maarten rentals are close to many beach bars like Miss Lolo. Parents can feel secure in spending an hour or two at the bars after the children are asleep at this tropical destination.
