"Our thanks to Ginny and Ursula for a wonderful vacation. Photos alone can not describe the beauty and fabulous location of the villa. Yes the villa is beautiful, but one thing you can not see in the photos are the quality of the furnishings. This is not your typical "summer rental". This villa is furnished and equipped as if you live there full time. The kitchen is more than fully equipped and the linens and towels are first class. Having not been to Sint Maarten before, we were unsure which area of the island was the best location for our two couples. After exploring the island, I can safely say we picked the right location. The gated community is a perfect location and we felt safer than our Atlanta home. There are plenty of nice restaurants in the area and even a casino if you feel lucky. Next year we plan to take the whole family and extend our 10-days to 2-wk. By the way, take Ginny's advise and rent an SUV from Michael at Unity. Thanks again, Don Conner"

  • Rising Star (Tamarind Hill community) ...

"Rating Details: I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was more than happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Rising Star (Tamarind Hill community) Christmas week rental We rented the villa for 1 week over Christmas. We were 8 adults (our 4 young adult children and 2 children-in-law) and 1 infant. The villa was perfect for our needs. Spacious, beautiful view and deck space around the pool. Maid service was much appreciated. Good location. We had 2 cars and spent the days going to different beaches. Oyster Pond is the nearby centre with good restaurants. The road down to Oyster Pond was in very bad shape (potholes+++), making the drive difficult, but manageable. Fabulous island! Beautiful blue skies and sunny, warm weather. Friendly people."

  • A Private Paradise

"We have been visiting St. Martin on and off for over twenty years and this was by far the best place we ever stayed. The view is stunning. The outdoor space is the big draw here. We loved waking up in this little piece of heaven and having our coffee and breakfast and a having a swim. We loved lounging by the pool in the afternoons with a cocktail or a glass of wine. Being high up on a hill ensures a nice, constant breeze so it was never too hot. Each of the bedrooms also has very good, individually controllable air conditioning, so sleeping is comfortable for all. We didn't cook dinners there because being New York Foodies we love to explore all the island's restaurants. (By the way we discovered a brand new excellent restaurant that rivals any on Grand Case that is just a five minute drive away on Oyster Bay Pond called The Pavillion. Elaine the chef was amazing and personally attended to anything you could want.) However, you could cook at the villa if you want to because the kitchen is big and there is a big indoor and outdoor dining table. We didn't turn on a TV once the whole week we were there but they have a nice one if you need that. They have wifi, which is helpful since a lot of the island's cell connections are spotty. And you're in a gated community which makes you feel perfectly safe. The owners are exceptionally easy to deal with; available, in contact and very friendly and accommodating. The only thing I'd say is that you definitely need a car here because you are up on the hill and not near a resort or restaurant, so no taxis are just hanging around waiting you. We rented a car and it was fine. We hope to return to this villa so I have no hesitation in giving it an excellent review and our recommendation."

  • Just what the doctor ordered!

"Villa Caribella was the perfect getaway for peace and quiet and listening to the ocean waves. The photos very much represent the Villa and the deck overlooking the ocean is much better than expected. The owner was very helpful with written information about the villa as well as suggestions for restaurants and excursions. The villa is very private and perfect for a couple or a group who want relaxation. James, the on-island manager, met us at the car rental location, and we followed him to the villa. I would have never found it on my own. We visited almost every beach on the island, and our favorites were Friar's Bay and Pinel Island. We enjoyed the lobster lunch at Le Galion restaurant in Marigot, and Caribbean Creole in Grand Case, Mr. Busby's, Pineapple Pete's, Skipjack, and Loterie Farm's Hidden Forest Cafe'. If you go to Pinel Island, the restaurants are extremely expensive on the small island. I followed the advice of another vacationer and ate at the roach coach when returning to our car from Pinel. A Dominican mother and daughter provide great food. And don't forget the French bakery on the road from the villa to the French Quarter. Great food and pleasant staff. We took the Aqua-Mania Lambada catamaran to Prickly Pear off Anguilla. The crew was great, as well as the lunch on the beach and the unlimited rum punches! And the captain, crew, and fellow passengers celebrated my wife's birthday on the cruise to make the day so special. We also took the Rhino Safari tour around the island and enjoyed the great snorkeling at an island north of Grand Case. We did some hiking in the neighborhoods around the villa and enjoyed the pool. It was a wonderful vacation and we look forward to staying at Villa Caribella again."
