"My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at Savana. The condo was true to the pictures online and well maintained. We would recommend this condo to anyone and will be staying there on our next visit to St. Maarten."

  • Just what the doctor ordered!

"Villa Caribella was the perfect getaway for peace and quiet and listening to the ocean waves. The photos very much represent the Villa and the deck overlooking the ocean is much better than expected. The owner was very helpful with written information about the villa as well as suggestions for restaurants and excursions. The villa is very private and perfect for a couple or a group who want relaxation. James, the on-island manager, met us at the car rental location, and we followed him to the villa. I would have never found it on my own. We visited almost every beach on the island, and our favorites were Friar's Bay and Pinel Island. We enjoyed the lobster lunch at Le Galion restaurant in Marigot, and Caribbean Creole in Grand Case, Mr. Busby's, Pineapple Pete's, Skipjack, and Loterie Farm's Hidden Forest Cafe'. If you go to Pinel Island, the restaurants are extremely expensive on the small island. I followed the advice of another vacationer and ate at the roach coach when returning to our car from Pinel. A Dominican mother and daughter provide great food. And don't forget the French bakery on the road from the villa to the French Quarter. Great food and pleasant staff. We took the Aqua-Mania Lambada catamaran to Prickly Pear off Anguilla. The crew was great, as well as the lunch on the beach and the unlimited rum punches! And the captain, crew, and fellow passengers celebrated my wife's birthday on the cruise to make the day so special. We also took the Rhino Safari tour around the island and enjoyed the great snorkeling at an island north of Grand Case. We did some hiking in the neighborhoods around the villa and enjoyed the pool. It was a wonderful vacation and we look forward to staying at Villa Caribella again."

  • Perfect for a couple or small family

"We loved our stay at this beautiful, well-equipped, clean condo in Grand Case. It is right on the beach and offers a perfect view of Antigua. We are a couple who travelled with our 18-month old daughter. The second bedroom was a must so we could put our daughter down for naps and still enjoy the rest of the space. Jay and his property manager, Ana, provided a cot/crib for our daughter, which was really appreciated. The price for this 2-bedroom beachfront condo is unbeatable. Grand Case beach is perfect for young children, with lots of soft sand and a shallow entry into the water. Grand Case itself is a great staging ground for a trip to St. Martin, with all the amenities you might need as noted by other reviewers. We rented a car and did day trips to Phillipsburg, Marigot, Lotterie Farm spa (a must!), Orient Bay and Mullet Bay (the latter two beaches are overrated, in my opinion). The condo had everything we needed but would benefit from a few nice lounge chairs for the beach (the only ones available were floppy folding chairs). Jay was a very attentive, friendly and communicative host, promptly answering every email sent from home and from our destination. He also made himself available by phone, though we never needed to call. Once we made our reservation, Jay forwarded a detailed document containing everything we needed to know about the condo, detailing and reviewing every beach and local restaurant and providing excellent travel tips - this was definitely worth more than a Lonely Planet guide! Our favourite restaurants in town were the local-style Creole places, especially Enod's (ask around because the name isn't on the sign). Dining on St. Martin is VERY expensive for the quality. On Jay's recommendation, we rented a car off-site from a local company (the name escapes me now). We were very pleased with the service and had no issues. According to many reviews on Trip Advisor, St. Martin rental companies (including the large international ones) have a reputation for scamming tourists. Parking was VERY tight at the condo (by North American standards), but it was manageable and very convenient to have a spot right out front and off the road. I would note that the directions to the condo could be better detailed. We passed by the condo twice before finding it in broad daylight. Providing the neighbouring hotel as a landmark would help tremendously! I would recommend this condo to anyone travelling as a couple or with kids."

  • Perfect spot. Great Condo.

"Our family of 4, (Mom, Dad, 2 teenagers) stayed here for 2 weeks for our family vacation and we just couldn't have asked for a better setup. I'll start with a bit about the condo itself: The condo is perfect for a family like ours, with a master suite downstairs (privacy!), and 2 bedrooms upstairs, (1 large, one smaller) with a full bath on the 2nd floor. It also has a half bath off the living room for convenience. The balconies on both floors offer great views of the ocean, and our kids really enjoyed sitting outside and watching the yachts go by, and in the distance occasionally a cruise ship on its way to Phillipsburg. Pretty cool. The kitchen is well-stocked with everything you need for a quick breakfast, as well as the kitchen tools you'd need to make a full-on meal, (which we did on a couple of nights). The condo has wi-fi, (which all of us really appreciated) as well as a DVD player, Bose dock and all the comforts of home. Everything was exceptionally clean and we really appreciated the little touches like abundant baskets of beach towels and brochures of local restaurants and activities. Now for the location: AMAZING!!! Simpson Bay Beach is a real gem. It seems to be primarily a locals beach, as it is quiet and mostly used by the folks that live or rent along it, this gives it a real relaxing and fun vibe... The beach is just a few steps from the condo, just past the beautiful pool and through the privacy gate. The sand is white, and the beach is about 2 miles long... perfect for a walk in the morning or as a perfect vantage point for taking in the incredible sunsets. (We did this most nights!) Just down the beach to the right is a fantastic beach bar/restaurant called Karakter, which you really shouldn't miss. We spent a LOT of time there, and our teens really liked strolling down there on their own to meet up with new friends and grab a bite. It was a fan favorite all around, they have a tapas and jazz night every friday which my wife and I really enjoyed. We had a wonderful time at this condo and hope to stay here again on our next trip to St. Maarten. It was everything we needed, and much more than we expected! Two thumbs up!"
