"The place was really great - just as advertised, really well laid out and thoughfully equipped. Dora and Phillipe are great to deal with.
For getting around the Island - figure out the Minibus - Taxis are VERY expensive. Hilda's Windsor Castle in Simpson Bay is the Bomb! and Elvis at Sky's the Limit in Grand Case - big thumbs up for local, or "LoLo" food. Take cash if you're exploring the island - not all machines work. The French side is more Lonely Planet style traveler - bit more earthy. Check out SO French near the apartment. It lives up to the name. Some of the best Foie Gras I've had on 3 continents.
The walk up the hill? Sure, it can be a bit of a thing if you're sunstroked and tired at the end of the day. But truly, it wasn't that bad. If it weren't for that hill, I'd have gotten fat with all the good French food I ate.
For god's sake remember to wear sunscreen and a hat, and like anyone who's read Hitchiker's Guide to the Universe knows, know where your towel is. They cost 4 Euros on Orient beach. I know where mine is: I left it on Dora and Phillipe's railing :D"

"5 of us, 55+, have stayed at cupecoy for the 3rd year in a row and will definitely stay here again. Condo is immaculate; the grounds are gorgeous. We feel completely safe with the 24 hour security. We actually used the pool this year and found out how good the food is at the pool bar. It was delicious. And, of course, the best part, is you are 200 yards from the best beach in St. Maarten. Mullet beach and Rosie's shack are a must go to. We went there 10 days in a row! I would recommend this unit to anyone and everyone! Barb from Fargo"

First time in St. Martin & we couldn't have chosen a better place to stay!!
"What we originally thought would be a romantic anniversary trip for my husband and myself quickly turned into a family vacation including our 4 year old daughter & 9 month old son. I was still nursing the baby, so I just couldn't bear to leave him behind and risk him forgetting how to nurse. So, off we went. For our first time in St. Martin, we did plenty of research to determine what was a top beach to visit. We knew we wanted to stay on the beach and also have a pool available for the little ones. We found Orient Beach to be a highly recommended beach by many visitors on the internet. Finding this chic home with a magnificent view of the beach while having the accommodations we needed seemed like a perfect fit!
Upon arriving at Mont Vernon, the outside of the place seems a little dated, but once inside Martine's place... WOW!!! The apartment was MAGNIFICENT!! It was exactly as the pictures show. The details in the modern décor truly were stunning. The views were simply breathtaking and something I could get used to seeing every day. The apartment is only a short walk to the enormous pool (3 different depths) and the beach. The pathway is cobblestone and has approximately 15 total steps (spread out). It was not steep nor difficult to climb while carrying the baby.
I loved the presence of security at all times to ensure guests and residents felt safe. We left the beautiful wall of doors wide open to fully enjoy the view and the ocean breeze. We never felt scared nor worried. We would only close them at bedtime.
We rented a car to tour the island and made a few trips to the nearby supermarket to buy groceries. The apartment had everything we needed to prepare a variety of meals during our stay. We chose to cook at least one meal everyday. If we had never left the property, we would have been just as content as it had everything we could possibly need.
Martine & Christian greeted us at the home and showed us around. They were both incredibly nice and helpful to answer any questions we had. They had a few refreshments waiting for us in the refrigerator (a couple of local beers, soda, and even some juice boxes for the little ones).
I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting St. Martin. We definitely plan to return for a true anniversary trip...minus the little ones."

"My sister and I rented this condo for a little over a week in early February. The location was wonderful - turn left out of the building and you're 2 blocks from downtown Marigot with wonderful bakeries (think REAL croissants) and other restaurants and shops. Turn right out of the building and you're about 1/4 mile to the grocery store. If you have a car, there is free parking across the street - we never had a problem finding a space. The St. Martin Tourist Office is also just outside, next to the parking lot. We drove around the island, adopting our motto "another day another beach" and were always pleased to come home to this cozy and comfortable apartment. The view from the balcony was wonderful and we felt very safe here - most of the people in this apartment building are French and helpful if necessary, so you feel a little like you are in France! The owner was delightful to deal with. We enjoyed our stay very much and give this unit high marks for convenience, safety, location and price!"
