  • Just what the doctor ordered!

"Villa Caribella was the perfect getaway for peace and quiet and listening to the ocean waves. The photos very much represent the Villa and the deck overlooking the ocean is much better than expected. The owner was very helpful with written information about the villa as well as suggestions for restaurants and excursions. The villa is very private and perfect for a couple or a group who want relaxation. James, the on-island manager, met us at the car rental location, and we followed him to the villa. I would have never found it on my own. We visited almost every beach on the island, and our favorites were Friar's Bay and Pinel Island. We enjoyed the lobster lunch at Le Galion restaurant in Marigot, and Caribbean Creole in Grand Case, Mr. Busby's, Pineapple Pete's, Skipjack, and Loterie Farm's Hidden Forest Cafe'. If you go to Pinel Island, the restaurants are extremely expensive on the small island. I followed the advice of another vacationer and ate at the roach coach when returning to our car from Pinel. A Dominican mother and daughter provide great food. And don't forget the French bakery on the road from the villa to the French Quarter. Great food and pleasant staff. We took the Aqua-Mania Lambada catamaran to Prickly Pear off Anguilla. The crew was great, as well as the lunch on the beach and the unlimited rum punches! And the captain, crew, and fellow passengers celebrated my wife's birthday on the cruise to make the day so special. We also took the Rhino Safari tour around the island and enjoyed the great snorkeling at an island north of Grand Case. We did some hiking in the neighborhoods around the villa and enjoyed the pool. It was a wonderful vacation and we look forward to staying at Villa Caribella again."

  • Great value and location!

"First time staying in St Martin and this apartment was a winner. Typical furnishings for beach type apartment...think IKEA and very spacious. Kitchen nicely stocked (you may wish to bring a 7 Inch nonstick pan so you can use both electric burners at once) with microwave, toaster/oven, coffeepot, toaster and even included an induction unit. Good size refrigerator/freezer and washing machine with drying rack out on the patio. Large beds, but realize they are very firm mattresses which is something to get used to after our own memory foam bed. Patio nice to sit out on with a glass of wine to finish the evening or have breakfast. Pool open 24/7 but you'll probably not use much as the beach is so close and convenient. Bakery less than a 3 minute walk that opens early so you can get the great baguettes and chocolate croissants for breakfast. We are English speaking only...realize Jean and his agent are French so make sure you translate all communications and come with you IPad for translating any questions you may have when you go (Jean's agent had one which made the transaction checking in easy). Don't forget your deposit is due on arrival in either cash or check. you pay utilities on departure...water and electric for the 2 weeks was only $110 for us, but we were very frugal with the A/C...never leaving it on when we left for the beach. In all, it was a great location and perfect for a beach apartment. Owner and agent friendly and easy to work with. Thanks for a memorable vacation that made us feel like we were locals!"

  • Unforgettable family vacation

"Professional and warm welcome from Maly giving you all the best adresses on the island! We stayed for a week with our family (7 people). The villa is as well aesthetic than practice. The house is luxuruous with master bedrooms. Everything is possible: to cook "French meal" as well as to cook fishes on BBQ close the pool, in front of Pinel and Small Key Islands. As Robinson Crusoe, you could visit islands by canoe, enjoy a delicious rhum close pelicans, iguanas, and maybe you will be surprised by turtles! This week with our family will remain definitively in our memories. Isabelle, Pierre, and their children"

  • we should come back here

"Whites Sands, Simpson Bay, St, Martin. This was our second stay at this 2 bedroom cottage. When vacationing at places in the Caribbean in January over the last years, we always say "we should come back here again". The fact that we came back to White Sands says it all. 100 steps to a very uncrowded beach to see the cruise ships pass by to Phillipsburg while watching the sunrise over the hills is a daily and repeatable memory. Walking onto the sand and seeing the yacht A and other luxury ships anchored offshore while the pelicans dive 50 feet away is a thrill. Want a snack and a bucket of beer at mid-day? Stroll 10 minutes down the beach to Karacters for tapas and Caribs. The cottage has everything you need if you prefer to do some or most of your own cooking. And there are at least 50 restaurants within 5 or 10 minutes. The new grocery store 10 minutes away is wonderful and fully stocked with fresh fruits, vegetables, meat and fish. The cottage is airy, clean, bright and well furnished. People from all over the world seek out the experience of sitting at the Sunset Bar and Grill to watch the 747 from Paris land at the airport, coming in so low you can count the rivets on the wings. You can just walk to the Sunset, have dinner or a drink, see the cruise ships pass by to another island destination, wave goodby to the last flight out of the airport and watch the beauty of the tropical sunset. When we left this year, again we said "we should come back here". We will. For two weeks. Mike and Frank from Maine"

St Maarten Travel Tips

St. Maarten Resorts Present a Personal Holiday

Do you want a personal stay, where it feels like the owners have set everything up just for you? If you want a kitchen for home-cooked meals, a centrally located home, and the sunrise outside your bedroom window then St. Maarten lodging is precisely what you need. Act now as every year, more and more people find the little gem that holds St. Maarten resorts. You will have your pick of St. Maarten rentals along the coastline on Antilles.

The Antilles and St. Maarten Lodging

Antilles is a large island in the Caribbean waiting to greet you with perfect St. Maarten rentals. The island is owned by the French and the Dutch which peacefully share the land. St. Maarten is the Dutch side of Antilles, which is also the smaller portion of the landmass. The French spelling of St. Maarten is St. Martin, which helps you locate the proper St. Maarten lodging when you plan your vacation. The climate at St. Maarten resorts is a sunny and balmy 80 degrees Fahrenheit virtually year-round, so you can visit at any time of year.

St. Maarten Rentals near Ruby Bute’s Studio

A true delight for many vacationers to St. Maarten rentals is visiting Ruby Bute, one of the most famous island artists. She creates botanical landscapes and images of island life through her paintings and poetry. Her studio and gallery are open in Marigot, north of downtown near Friar’s Bay. You might want to call first to make sure she is welcoming visitors for the day you plan the trip, and bring local currency to come home with one of her reasonably priced prints.

Island Gambling at St. Maarten Resorts

St. Maarten lodging is conveniently located near the island’s 12 casinos. All of these casinos are located on the Dutch side and with gaming in the European mode. Spend your late nights inside the St. Maarten resorts' casinos, and your days along the various beaches.
