"Our party of 5 (4 adults;1 toddler) just returned from staying here for a week. We're totally depressed and want to return to Porto Cupecoy ASAP!!! This villa was absolutely fabulous! We didn't utilize the pool table as much as we thought we were, there was so much to see and do. The property is in a wonderful location if you want to go to the French and Dutch side of the island. The restaurants in the plaza are delicious, the people are friendly, the grocery store is right there. They have wonder croissants if you go early (they open at 8am and the croissants go fast) the pool is WONDERFUL!! We loved everything about this villa and Porto Cupecoy!!"

  • You cannot beat the view or the beach

"My wife and enjoyed Island Mermaid as it is a spectacular condo in an awesome location. The views from the balcony of the passing yachts onto Simpson Bay harbour, hills to the left that remind you of Italy with the colourful villas and a view of the bay all the way to left where you can see the airport. The condo itself is like visiting an art museum, so much eclectic collecting has been done by the owner if it is a rainy day you can still be entertained without leaving. Yes the back alley is another world, nothing but a plus in my mind. If you are new to the caribbean it may be a shock, but for those who know it is a way of life and another experience to enjoy. Roosters and friendly stray dogs provide a nice change form cars and other urban noises and we enjoyed them thoroughly. Walking down the beach to Karaker a converted school bus awesome beach from restaurant was a daily routine if we stayed in Simpson Bay. Not to mention the close proximity to all the restaurants in Simpson Bay made it at ought decision to stay in and cook dinner with a beautiful view from the balcony or head out. So we usually had wine and cheese until sun set and then off to a nice restaurant. Pineapple Petes may have had the best rack of lamb I have ever had. I would absolutely recommend this condo, and if you find anything you don't like stay another week because you are not relaxed enough yet : )"

  • Spacious with beautiful views!

"We visited St Marteen over the Christmas holidays and had a great time. The island of course is beautiful with many options for spending a day on the beach with endless opportunities for water fun. The condo itself was large and has amazing views, especially the afternoon that we were lucky enough to see a rainbow out on the horizon toward St Bart's. With two couples it was the perfect choice for privacy, with each couple enjoying their own bathroom and balcony, and for being together in the common areas for meals or playing a game. The staff was very friendly and attentive to our needs. We had a couple of hiccups with maintenance issues but the staff and owner were extremely responsive once made aware and went out of their way to make our stay more enjoyable. These things unfortunately can happen but the response to our concerns was the key to saving the trip! We would highly recommend the 6 hour snorkel boat trip out of Oyster Bay with Captain Alan's team. Our captain for the day was Francois and we were lucky to spend the day with him and his top notch first mate. On our Capt Alan's trip we saw sea turtles, barracuda, conch shells and much more plus got to visit Creole Rock and Pinel Island. Mullett Bay was our favorite snorkeling spot on the island. That is where we saw tons of fish, plus sharks, rays and even an octopus. Snorkeling was great around the Tiki Hut, although we swam out from the Little Bay Beach rather than paying to go to the Hut itself. My husband also went scuba diving twice with Scuba Fun Dive Center. A great experience for him while finishing his certification. Great dinner spots of Pineapple Pete's, SkipJacks and many more but our favorite was at Le Soleil in Grand Case on the French side. It was one of the best meals any of us could remember and our server Coco was a delight! Best value we found on food was at the Sunset Bar and Grill right by the airport which offered an opportunity for food and drinks while watching spectators get blown away by the jets as they took off. We would recommend both St Marteen and this condo as we had an exceptional week over all and would love to return one day!"

St Maarten Travel Tips

St. Maarten Resorts Present a Personal Holiday

Do you want a personal stay, where it feels like the owners have set everything up just for you? If you want a kitchen for home-cooked meals, a centrally located home, and the sunrise outside your bedroom window then St. Maarten lodging is precisely what you need. Act now as every year, more and more people find the little gem that holds St. Maarten resorts. You will have your pick of St. Maarten rentals along the coastline on Antilles.

The Antilles and St. Maarten Lodging

Antilles is a large island in the Caribbean waiting to greet you with perfect St. Maarten rentals. The island is owned by the French and the Dutch which peacefully share the land. St. Maarten is the Dutch side of Antilles, which is also the smaller portion of the landmass. The French spelling of St. Maarten is St. Martin, which helps you locate the proper St. Maarten lodging when you plan your vacation. The climate at St. Maarten resorts is a sunny and balmy 80 degrees Fahrenheit virtually year-round, so you can visit at any time of year.

St. Maarten Rentals near Ruby Bute’s Studio

A true delight for many vacationers to St. Maarten rentals is visiting Ruby Bute, one of the most famous island artists. She creates botanical landscapes and images of island life through her paintings and poetry. Her studio and gallery are open in Marigot, north of downtown near Friar’s Bay. You might want to call first to make sure she is welcoming visitors for the day you plan the trip, and bring local currency to come home with one of her reasonably priced prints.

Island Gambling at St. Maarten Resorts

St. Maarten lodging is conveniently located near the island’s 12 casinos. All of these casinos are located on the Dutch side and with gaming in the European mode. Spend your late nights inside the St. Maarten resorts' casinos, and your days along the various beaches.
