  • Spectacular private condo

"First, the 2 negatives: 1. The Ants in the east bedroom were terrible! With a little poison, they became manageable. Funny, that they didn't go into the kitchen. 2. The Internet was terribly slow, however, I didn't go there to focus on a laptop or iPad, did I? The positive: This is a spacious, private, spectacular, secure, condominium. The kitchen is huge as well as the living area. And the bedrooms for that matter. Plenty of room for 2 people in the bathrooms. I very much regret giving this condo a rating of 4 stars, but there was one day where the ants were most oppressive. The maintenance staff at the Lighthouse were most responsive and took care of these kind of situations very quickly. I would most recommend this property for 3 couples. We were with our 2 adult children; this layout was perfect."

  • Awesome Villa!! Wonderful Trip!!

"We just returned from staying at the property. We were a group of 4 couples that stayed for 2 weeks and had a wonderful time at this property! We were there from Jan. 31st-Feb. 13th. There was plenty of room with the rooms being furnished nicely and maintained wonderfully. We loved the view and having the bay right there to watch the boat traffic was an added bonus. We saw some impressive yachts moored right off of the property. We ate in sometimes and went out sometimes. The property is easy to get to and located in an excellent area. It was not far to bars, restaurants, beaches and the airport. Rick was so patient in answering all of my questions-there were lots as we had never rented privately before-we have always stayed at all-inclusive resorts in the past. The villa is described well on the listing and the pictures show it well. Jenny is the housekeeper and was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed visiting with her. There were no surprises which when you are traveling it is nice to avoid surprises. We spent plenty of time by the pool but also traveled out to different beaches and areas. Of course shopping in Phillipsburgh is a must for any woman traveling! It was nice to see the cruise ships coming in so we had an idea of the number of people that would be in town. We would definitely recommend this property to others and have already given information to some others. Thank you Rick for renting us this fantastic property. You do an excellent job of keeping it nice and comfortable for those of us coming in. I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a beautiful, comfortable and easily accessible home on the ocean! My husband and I hope to come back again with our daughters when they can get away."

  • Beautiful setting

"My family of six, children ages 18,16,14 and 11 stayed for a week. Great setting and we never got tired of the view. The house is spacious and the pool/deck is wonderful. The pictures are accurate. It is very comforting having a staff on site and Maureen was great. The house is on a hillside which provides the great view, so there is a bit of a steep walk to the beach. The beach at Oyster Pond is very small and we would highly recommend the beach at Orient Bay which is a short drive. Busby's is a great little beach bar with good breakfeasts. Would also highly recommend a yacht rental at SXM. Pricey, but worth it and Pinel Island is a great place for lunch. The location was great as it was also a short drive to Phillipsburg. The only minor downside of the house is that the family room was very warm even at night. It is not air-conditioned which is understandable given the shortages on the island. The ocean breezes never seemed to cool the room down which during the day didnt matter as we were never inside, but, at night it was still very warm. May have just been the week we were there. I would recommend some larger fans in that room. Suzanne was an absolute joy to work with"

  • Saint Martins Best

"This property is every thing the owner describes and so much more. Positives; property is immaculate, overly stocked with towels, linens and toiletries. The kitchen is well stocked with every thing u need to have a gourmet meal at home. The bed rooms are graciously appointed. The unexpected positive; The view is simply amazing. Watching the sun rise over the mountains or watching the mega yachts and sail boats come around the point. Simply Priceless. The gated complex is close to everything. The on site supermarket has everything. Not to mention the restraunts are mear steps from the pool. I have been coming to the island for the winter months for several years. We typically stay at the Westin Dawn Beach. That ended with our stay at this gracious property. By the way the owner and onsite people were a pleasure to deal with. Richard"

St Maarten Travel Tips

St. Maarten Resorts Present a Personal Holiday

Do you want a personal stay, where it feels like the owners have set everything up just for you? If you want a kitchen for home-cooked meals, a centrally located home, and the sunrise outside your bedroom window then St. Maarten lodging is precisely what you need. Act now as every year, more and more people find the little gem that holds St. Maarten resorts. You will have your pick of St. Maarten rentals along the coastline on Antilles.

The Antilles and St. Maarten Lodging

Antilles is a large island in the Caribbean waiting to greet you with perfect St. Maarten rentals. The island is owned by the French and the Dutch which peacefully share the land. St. Maarten is the Dutch side of Antilles, which is also the smaller portion of the landmass. The French spelling of St. Maarten is St. Martin, which helps you locate the proper St. Maarten lodging when you plan your vacation. The climate at St. Maarten resorts is a sunny and balmy 80 degrees Fahrenheit virtually year-round, so you can visit at any time of year.

St. Maarten Rentals near Ruby Bute’s Studio

A true delight for many vacationers to St. Maarten rentals is visiting Ruby Bute, one of the most famous island artists. She creates botanical landscapes and images of island life through her paintings and poetry. Her studio and gallery are open in Marigot, north of downtown near Friar’s Bay. You might want to call first to make sure she is welcoming visitors for the day you plan the trip, and bring local currency to come home with one of her reasonably priced prints.

Island Gambling at St. Maarten Resorts

St. Maarten lodging is conveniently located near the island’s 12 casinos. All of these casinos are located on the Dutch side and with gaming in the European mode. Spend your late nights inside the St. Maarten resorts' casinos, and your days along the various beaches.
