  • Excellent Accommodations, Safe Neighborhood

"My family and I had a great experience staying here for 5 days in December 2014. The condo is clean, well kept, nicely furnished, with fully-equiped kitchen, modern appliances and every utensil that you need, local cellphone with credits, and cable TV. Home is as described with added amenities - beach umbrella, chairs, beach towels, barbecue grill etc. The views from the penthouse and terrace are breathtaking. Great aerial view of St. Martaan with spectacular view of the sunset...Nice view of Saba. Security is 24/7 with free parking. Convenient location - close to airport, shopping, dining, entertainment and access to semi-private beach. After touring the island and looking at other places we considered, I would say Rainbow was the best. Bob the owner is very helpful, prompt when responding to emails - You can feel comfortable doing business with him!!!"

  • Our stay in paradise--Better than advertised

"My family and I have never been to the Caribbean before and we decided that of all the islands St. Maarten was the place we needed to see. We didn't want to go the traditional route of going to a resort so we decided that staying in a vacation rental would provide us with a great experience. We narrowed it down to a few villas and in the end decided to stay at Patricia and Rick's Indigo Bay Villa. My parents and sisters were new to renting through VRBO and I was not so I was hoping that it would be a great experience for them, and it was. Patricia and Rick are readily available and are always just an email or call away because they live on the island. We even unexpectedly bumped into Rick at the outdoor market in Marigot on a Wednesday. Booking the property was effortless and when we landed an hour late due to our plane being delayed, Patricia and Rick were at the airport waiting for us the whole time. In regards to the community the villa is in, Indigo Bay is a new development community that will be completed within the next 3-5 years but we were not bothered by the construction and you shouldn't be either. There is a beach bar/restaurant on the beach called Kokomo which we didn't have time to frequent but heard great things about. The community is guard gated and is only about 7-10 minutes away from Phillipsburg (with no traffic) and 5 minutes away from Simpson Bay (with no traffic). We absolutely loved Simpson Bay and Phillipsburg and wish we spent more time there. Now, about the property. The townhouse is beautiful and is furnished very tastefully. The view is absolutely stunning and looks over the turquoise waters of the beach below. The beds were all very comfortable as well and the outdoor patio was also very nice to lounge around in. Not to mention, there is even an outdoor shower! We loved waking up early every morning and spending time in the house. The beach is not too far of a walk away but I strongly recommend renting a car because it is only a 15 second drive from the property, and we loved swimming in the ocean there. Overall we had a great time staying in the Indigo Bay House but the only thing that we would recommend if you plan on enjoying all the patio has to offer is mosquito repellent and LOTS of it. Make sure you ritually spray yourself before going out because we weren't aware of this the first day and awoke to bites all over us. You should expect this though if you're going to the Carib...Thank you for everything Patricia and Rick!"

"Great apartment. Romantic bedroom with sunrise and moonrise -very beautiful! The accommodations are perfect and we felt very, very safe. We saw the friendly security patrol all around the grounds. Although the grounds could be better manicured, it has an island charm of the tropical plants, butterflies, iguanas and the sweet neighborhood cats. There are ramps and stirs to get you to the perched apartment with the spectacular view of the beach and bay. The hogher the climb, the better the view. Pizza plcee is great and grocery stores are a quick drive. The owners were friendly, prompt and very nice."

  • Another wonderful relaxing stay in Bella Mare

"Our second stay in the condo. Pictures can lie, or in the case of Bella Mare, not even come close to showing the true beauty of the condo, both inside and out. The condo contains everything you need - and more - for a week plus stay. For our second stay we brought our favorite coffee and fewer clothes - in a role on each! That is how well self-contained the condo is. The staff makes your entire stay seamless - from A to Z. Special thanks to Lori & Gordon - you folks are wonderful. They provided all kind of tips from shopping, eating and my favorite - beach bars! If you are a go-go-go person, get a hotel. If you want to relax, enjoy your heavenly surroundings, feel at home and most importantly, like each other's company - go for Bella Mare! The worst part of the stay - was leaving! Many thanks to the owners for providing a piece of paradise."

St Maarten Travel Tips

St. Maarten Resorts Present a Personal Holiday

Do you want a personal stay, where it feels like the owners have set everything up just for you? If you want a kitchen for home-cooked meals, a centrally located home, and the sunrise outside your bedroom window then St. Maarten lodging is precisely what you need. Act now as every year, more and more people find the little gem that holds St. Maarten resorts. You will have your pick of St. Maarten rentals along the coastline on Antilles.

The Antilles and St. Maarten Lodging

Antilles is a large island in the Caribbean waiting to greet you with perfect St. Maarten rentals. The island is owned by the French and the Dutch which peacefully share the land. St. Maarten is the Dutch side of Antilles, which is also the smaller portion of the landmass. The French spelling of St. Maarten is St. Martin, which helps you locate the proper St. Maarten lodging when you plan your vacation. The climate at St. Maarten resorts is a sunny and balmy 80 degrees Fahrenheit virtually year-round, so you can visit at any time of year.

St. Maarten Rentals near Ruby Bute’s Studio

A true delight for many vacationers to St. Maarten rentals is visiting Ruby Bute, one of the most famous island artists. She creates botanical landscapes and images of island life through her paintings and poetry. Her studio and gallery are open in Marigot, north of downtown near Friar’s Bay. You might want to call first to make sure she is welcoming visitors for the day you plan the trip, and bring local currency to come home with one of her reasonably priced prints.

Island Gambling at St. Maarten Resorts

St. Maarten lodging is conveniently located near the island’s 12 casinos. All of these casinos are located on the Dutch side and with gaming in the European mode. Spend your late nights inside the St. Maarten resorts' casinos, and your days along the various beaches.
