  • Wonderful, relaxing two weeks

"This was our first experience renting a property on VRBO, and it could not have been better. Communication was easy and clear. I already have visited St. Martin via cruise ship and had decided that this was the spot for us to take an extended break. Ana who looks after the building was very helpful, informative and kind. The apartment is clean, comfortable and perfectly situated. Need some breakfast groceries? It's a 3 minute walk around the corner to the boulangerie (great fresh baguettes!) or the grocery store. Lying on the beach and getting hungry? Walk along the beach either to the lolos (outdoor bbq restaurants) or to one of the beachside restaurant/bars. Supper...pick your choice of many 5 star French and Italian restaurants. And that's real 5 star..we are from Montreal and we get plenty of fine food here! The beach is perfect. Wide enough and soft white sand. No seaweed, no rocks. Not even a little crowded...so much room! Plenty of shade or sun, whichever you prefer. The bay at Grand Case is ringed by lovely mountains and there is a small marina with some interesting boats stopping for a visit. Spectacular views. We sat on the balcony in the evenings and listened to the surf, but there's not much else to do at night in Grand Case. If we wanted action, we would hit the Dutch side of the island around Maho and visit the restaurants, clubs and casinos there. Much fun was had."

  • Smiles from all three couples as we entered the property and saw the colorful patio and pool.

"What a charming villa! The property manager greeted us upon arrival. The pool was sparkling, the sun deck large and all plants well manicured. We entered the villa and all bedrooms were excellent. Everyone commented on the comfort of the beds. The kitchen was well equipped and we had a washer and dryer. Although the villa had a nice dining room and living room; we found ourselves each evening sitting on the large terrace enjoying the view and having refreshments before going to dinner. The terrace had a grille and cooking area for the outdoor chef in the family on one end and a dining table on the other, but we enjoyed the couches with center table the most, as we sat and chatted about our day. As a home owner with a pool, I appreciated the sparkling pool water and the perfect upkeep. With just a few minutes walk to the village restaurants and beach; this villa was perfect! We enjoyed going for a short walk each morning for coffee and pastries at the nearby French restaurant. Vincent, the property owner, was quick getting back to us regarding any questions. Once the contract was submitted to us, it was very informative to protect the owner and the renter. We visited several VRBO villas before deciding on this one and are so happy with our decision. On our last day, everyone said "I am not ready to go back. I so enjoyed this villa. It was so close to everything." We will be back! Thanks to the owner and property manager for making our "vacay" a perfect trip!!!!"

  • Peaceful getaway with lots of activities within easy reach

"Our family of 4 (with 2 teenagers) and an adult friend spent Christmas in Grand Case and had a wonderful, relaxing stay. The apartment is beautiful, clean and spacious, on the top floor of a modern, secure building. After exploring all around the island, we found that we had picked the perfect place to stay: Not too far from any destination on the island, with free parking for our rental car across the street. There was plenty to do for our family, including scuba diving, several nice beaches, hiking in the forest, shopping, etc. Grand Case, itself, has a sleepy, small-town feel but there are so many fantastic restaurants within a two-minute walk that we never ran out of new options. The beach is just downstairs from the apartment so we went down for a swim after each day's adventures. Even though we didn't use the pool, it was nice to have that option. As mentioned in other reviews, there was live music on several nights from bars and restaurants nearby, but we were never bothered by the noise with the windows closed. We would definitely stay here again!"

St Maarten Travel Tips

St. Maarten Resorts Present a Personal Holiday

Do you want a personal stay, where it feels like the owners have set everything up just for you? If you want a kitchen for home-cooked meals, a centrally located home, and the sunrise outside your bedroom window then St. Maarten lodging is precisely what you need. Act now as every year, more and more people find the little gem that holds St. Maarten resorts. You will have your pick of St. Maarten rentals along the coastline on Antilles.

The Antilles and St. Maarten Lodging

Antilles is a large island in the Caribbean waiting to greet you with perfect St. Maarten rentals. The island is owned by the French and the Dutch which peacefully share the land. St. Maarten is the Dutch side of Antilles, which is also the smaller portion of the landmass. The French spelling of St. Maarten is St. Martin, which helps you locate the proper St. Maarten lodging when you plan your vacation. The climate at St. Maarten resorts is a sunny and balmy 80 degrees Fahrenheit virtually year-round, so you can visit at any time of year.

St. Maarten Rentals near Ruby Bute’s Studio

A true delight for many vacationers to St. Maarten rentals is visiting Ruby Bute, one of the most famous island artists. She creates botanical landscapes and images of island life through her paintings and poetry. Her studio and gallery are open in Marigot, north of downtown near Friar’s Bay. You might want to call first to make sure she is welcoming visitors for the day you plan the trip, and bring local currency to come home with one of her reasonably priced prints.

Island Gambling at St. Maarten Resorts

St. Maarten lodging is conveniently located near the island’s 12 casinos. All of these casinos are located on the Dutch side and with gaming in the European mode. Spend your late nights inside the St. Maarten resorts' casinos, and your days along the various beaches.
