"Our stay was wonderful. I counted 75 steps to the beach and what a lovely beach, a view of some of the mountains, boats in the harbor-really big personal craft, houses on the hillside, Oh, my!. The people are wonderfully nice at the hotel and on the island. Driving is a bit scary, get the smallest car you can but everyone watches out for everyone else. We had a Mustang convertable and it seemed big but I am not spacially challenged. Very nice restaraunts throughout the island and this location is one of the best for lots of restaraunts. More than can eat at in a month but nothing is well marked so if you're not adventurous, stay home or eat at the hotel. It was very nice too. Not hard to find just 2 right turns and follow the signs. Have a navigator so you can watch the road and he/she can look for the signs. First time is almost a bit scary going to Mary's Boon but after a trip or two it's delightful. Have faith and just keep going. One thing about this island is that if you keep going long enough you'll end up back where you started from Due to mechanical problems our flight was cancelled and we were put up in a fancy, smancy newer hotel on the French side. Impressive place but we decided we liked our little place at Mary's Boon better."Guest: Chuck K. Date of Stay: April 2014 Review Submitted: April 15, 2014View listing
"I am a regular visitor to SXM and consider myself very fortunate to have stayed here three times now. I know that myself and previous reviewers have stated over and over how great this place is, but it can't hurt to mention it again...especially if it's true! From the moment you arrive, it just feels like home. The unit is spotless, the furnishings are modern, tasteful, and comfortable, the kitchen has everything you could need, and having your own washer and dryer is a major plus! Also provided for your use are beach chairs, a cooler, beach towels, and umbrella. The fantastic view and refreshing breezes make the balconies the perfect place for your morning coffee. The location is very quiet and secure, yet close to everything the island has to offer. Beaches, grocery stores, restaurants, clubs, bars, etc are all just a couple minutes away. On top of the condo itself being great, Bruce and Joyce are absolutely fantastic to work with. All communication is friendly and prompt, no question goes unanswered, and you'll feel like you are renting from a friend! Thank you again Bruce, Joyce, and Robert!"Guest: Keith Date of Stay: April 2014 Review Submitted: April 17, 2014View listing
"If you are looking to renting in St. Maarten, La Brise is the place for you! This home was magnificent, the pictures really don't do it justice. My experience form beginning to end with renting this home has been nothing short of fantastic. Lee, a true professional made my first VRBO rental experience one I will share for years to come. She hands down made myself and my family feel at ease about this sometimes questionable experience when renting abroad. Lee, was easy to talk too and I am sure she is busy, always made me feel that I was a top priority. Upon our arrival we were greeted by the on-site concierge, Rhonda. She greeted us with a warm smile and immediately made us feel at home. We walked through La Brise, the views are magnificent, kitchen amazing, bedrooms (each unique). We couldn't wait to get this vacation started. La Brise for sure met all of our needs. As our first family vacation in awhile, let alone having not lived together in years, La Brise provided that home environment but gave us the space we needed. Perched on top of hill it overlooks the beautiful Oyster Pond. It sits literally on the border of the Dutch/French side. We cooked many family meals, enjoyed cocktails by the pool in day and evening, and quite frankly didn't want to leave. We felt safe as La Brise is gated and the several iguanas we spotted in the trees kept us a ease too:) Overall, I can't say enough great thing about La Brise and its staff. You truly made my Mom's 60th Birthday a memorable one, thank you, thank you. We will be back!!"Guest: Brie Date of Stay: January 2014 Review Submitted: January 18, 2014View listing
"My son and I stayed in this condo to attend a family reunion. We had never been to St Maarten. The unit is very large and VERY nicely decorated. The ocean views are breathtaking. The complex is gate secured 24 / 7. The owners use local managers who live in the complex. They were very pleasant and helpful. Walk across the street to the casino + kind of a restaurant row. The beach is small but essentially private to the condo complex. Walk out the front gate, turn right, walk across the golf course to a popular public beach. If you need groceries or supplies drive out the front gate, turn left and travel about 1/2 mile to a traffic round about, turn right. The owners respond quickly to questions. This unit is A+++"Guest: JJJJJCA Date of Stay: May 2014 Review Submitted: June 7, 2014View listing

The Antilles and St. Maarten Lodging
Antilles is a large island in the Caribbean waiting to greet you with perfect St. Maarten rentals. The island is owned by the French and the Dutch which peacefully share the land. St. Maarten is the Dutch side of Antilles, which is also the smaller portion of the landmass. The French spelling of St. Maarten is St. Martin, which helps you locate the proper St. Maarten lodging when you plan your vacation. The climate at St. Maarten resorts is a sunny and balmy 80 degrees Fahrenheit virtually year-round, so you can visit at any time of year.
St. Maarten Rentals near Ruby Bute’s Studio
A true delight for many vacationers to St. Maarten rentals is visiting Ruby Bute, one of the most famous island artists. She creates botanical landscapes and images of island life through her paintings and poetry. Her studio and gallery are open in Marigot, north of downtown near Friar’s Bay. You might want to call first to make sure she is welcoming visitors for the day you plan the trip, and bring local currency to come home with one of her reasonably priced prints.
Island Gambling at St. Maarten Resorts
St. Maarten lodging is conveniently located near the island’s 12 casinos. All of these casinos are located on the Dutch side and with gaming in the European mode. Spend your late nights inside the St. Maarten resorts' casinos, and your days along the various beaches.
