"I have stayed at the Villa in 2011 and 2012 and without hesitation I would highly recommend renting the Villa or Suite. When the owner said the views are spectacular well that is no exaggeration. You look out at the Caribbean and there is Saba in the distance. Waking up to this view everyday was simply extraordinary. The unit is so spacious, comfortable, warm and suited our needs perfectly. Walking distance to Royal Casino and the many restaurants in the area. If you have a chance, try Temptation. Enjoy this beautiful unit."

  • Excellent, clean accommodations, great view and beach access

"Modern decor instead of traditional island rattan was nice. Spacious living area. Clean. Manager was helpful to us. Location on Orient Bay could not be any better. Walk to village for fine dining. Short car ride to just about anything we decided to see or do. The veranda was very nice, room to eat there for all six of us."

"My husband, young son and I thoroughly enjoyed our weeklong stay in one of Martine’s studios. Martine was responsive via email and quickly confirmed the arrangement telling us everything we needed to know on the apartment. Martine works with a husband&wife team who live at Mont Vernon and act as onsite contact. They were around the property often so if anything was needed they were easy to contact. The wife was very helpful in showing us how to drive down to the entrance to our building (careful driving skills required) so we could unload luggage/groceries closer to the unit. That was a big help. Mont Vernon is on hilltop–hence the beautiful views–but honestly the walks were not as steep as some other reviews would indicate. Not flat–but not vertical either. The studio’s location is fantastic–right on arguably the best beach in St Martin. Within two minutes pleasant walk our toes were in the sand. If we wanted a quiet day within reach of apartment and pool, we stayed at that end of the beach. For water sports or beach bars we walked down the beach. The pool is lovely and quiet. Although some chaise cushions were weathered, overall the area was quite clean. The apartment’s view was superb, looking directly onto the ocean and length of Orient Bay to the South, with St Barth visible in the distance. If all we did that week was sit on the comfortable balcony and gaze out – the vacation would have been worth it! The studio was very clean and newly renovated with a vibrant blue scheme. The quality linens were European, and kitchen, with new LG appliances, was fully fitted out with every utensil, pot, pan and serving dish that one would need. We cooked for ourselves quite often, shopping at well-stocked markets down the street. Refrigerator/freezer were normal size (not minibar size) so it was possible to store enough for our needs. The small boulangerie down the hill baked yummy croissants and baguettes. The bathroom was spacious with lots of counter space and a washing machine–a real convenience. The shower had good water pressure and plenty of hot water-even when we all showered in succession post-beach. The reception buildings (used now to house the postboxes and resident cars) are quite weathered from the elements. That shouldn’t discourage you as the plusses of this place far outweigh the worn look of the reception building."

St Maarten Travel Tips

St. Maarten Resorts Present a Personal Holiday

Do you want a personal stay, where it feels like the owners have set everything up just for you? If you want a kitchen for home-cooked meals, a centrally located home, and the sunrise outside your bedroom window then St. Maarten lodging is precisely what you need. Act now as every year, more and more people find the little gem that holds St. Maarten resorts. You will have your pick of St. Maarten rentals along the coastline on Antilles.

The Antilles and St. Maarten Lodging

Antilles is a large island in the Caribbean waiting to greet you with perfect St. Maarten rentals. The island is owned by the French and the Dutch which peacefully share the land. St. Maarten is the Dutch side of Antilles, which is also the smaller portion of the landmass. The French spelling of St. Maarten is St. Martin, which helps you locate the proper St. Maarten lodging when you plan your vacation. The climate at St. Maarten resorts is a sunny and balmy 80 degrees Fahrenheit virtually year-round, so you can visit at any time of year.

St. Maarten Rentals near Ruby Bute’s Studio

A true delight for many vacationers to St. Maarten rentals is visiting Ruby Bute, one of the most famous island artists. She creates botanical landscapes and images of island life through her paintings and poetry. Her studio and gallery are open in Marigot, north of downtown near Friar’s Bay. You might want to call first to make sure she is welcoming visitors for the day you plan the trip, and bring local currency to come home with one of her reasonably priced prints.

Island Gambling at St. Maarten Resorts

St. Maarten lodging is conveniently located near the island’s 12 casinos. All of these casinos are located on the Dutch side and with gaming in the European mode. Spend your late nights inside the St. Maarten resorts' casinos, and your days along the various beaches.
