  • Paradise Found!

"My family and our friends (a total party of 4 adults and 2 children) just returned from Villa La Recompense and we all agree that we feel like we had a vacation in paradise. Everything was perfect - the villa really feels like a lovely home away from home. We loved the little beach that is right nearby and has good snorkeling (and is very quiet) - and couldn't believe what a short walk it was. Some unexpected visitors to the property included turtles and lizards and brightly colored birds - which delighted everyone. We became regulars of the patisserie (which is fabulous). We also loved the little fish stand just down the road that sells fresh fish in the morning - we bought gorgeous strawberry grouper and some lobsters and had a feast! The kitchen is very well stocked and the whole home is so open and has such great views and lovely gardens that there are many places to either gather with friends for a glass of wine, relax with a book, play a game of clue . . . I couldn't more highly recommend a place to stay. We will definitely return and wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else."

  • Just perfect!

"The Chloe Villa is a gem. Tucked away from immediate neighbors situated on a large old St. Bart's family's property with amazing views of Gustavia AND St.Jean. Well equipped and comfortable. The pool area is quite tight. We did not spend any time in it. Instead, to relax and lounge, we used our large and 3way open terrace with unobstructed views of Gustavia. It is a romantic paradise for 1 couple. The other bedroom is attached to the living rm. terrace. The villa is well designed considering the steep property. We would definitely return. A wonderful restaurant "Santa Fe" is within 4 min drive. Laura- the proprietor- was accommodating and prompt communicator."

  • Amazing house with breathtaking views in the best location

"In my opinion this is the best location in St. Barts. You can walk to the beach, Eden Rock, or Nikki Beach within minutes. There is no picture that can describe the view...it's insane. Watching the planes land and take off never gets old. The main house opens up to a wrap around deck and amazing pool...exactly what we were hoping for. The listing description was very accurate except there was no washer/dryer. You can ask the housekeeper though and she will help you with any laundry. To our surprise the house was actually way better than the photo's online. We are definitely making this a yearly trip and hope to stay at Villa Azu every year!"

  • Beautiful stay near Marigot Bay

"La Belle Vie allowed us to have an incredible vacation. We stayed in a hotel last visit but much preferred the ample space, freedom and extras that this villa provided. What we liked best: the patio with a sparkling pool and sunshine all afternoon; crisp, white and seagrass island casual furnishings; comfy beds and a perfectly stocked white and stainless kitchen. Every room from bathroom to kitchen was very clean. The location by Marigot Bay was super convenient for exploring St Barth's Beaches (our favorites: Shell, St Jean at Nikki Beach, and Marigot, a short walk down the street); Gustavia's harbor/shopping/people watching; and the numerous restaurants scattered all over the island. Our favorite night was probably the one we cooked at home, grilling up fresh fish that had been caught that day. The manager of the home lives nearby and was extremely helpful when we called her for advice on about the island. The American owner was pleasant and easy to deal with -- she responded immediately to our questions before the trip. Bonuses at La Belle Vie: washer/dryer, covered parking, wifi and Apple TV."
