"We spent one week in St. Barths. and the villa was a great choice. It was our first time in St. Barths. and after getting to know the island one can notice there aren't many beachfronts properties available. Though Anse de Cayes is not good for swimming due to its many rocks, you can take a walk along the beach, which we did every morning. Renting a car is a must as there are many beautiful beaches in the island (being a couple with kids ages 7 and 5 our favourite was St. Jean). A 5 minute drive will take you to the stores and restaurants in Gustavia or St. Jean (here you can find some markets to get what you need to prepare a picnic or any meal on the well equipped kitchen; if there is no intention of cooking we'd recommend Maya's to Go). Anyway, it won't take more than 20 minutes to get to the most distant beaches, as the location of the villa is really great. The kids didn't mind the constant wind and took more advantage of the pool, we preferred to stay in the varanda to appreciate the amazing view. Jackie and Yvonne were really nice and helpful during our stay."

"We had a wonderful week at Villa Les Acajous. Having been to St. Barts many times, we had never visited in September and didn't know that many restaurants and stores are closed for the month. Our family wanted to snorkel and take a catamaran around the island, to Colombier and we had no luck calling or finding anyone available. We called Les Acajous house owner Marie Claude and she was able to find a catamaran and a sailor to take us out. It was one of the most spectacular days of our lives. Marie Claude was the most hands on home owner we have ever rented from in St. Barts and we highly recommend renting from her. Les Acajous is centrally located, right near St. Jean beach, and a six minute drive from downtown Gustavia. The pool is well kept and the house is extremely clean. There are two large, harmless, iguanas that reside near the home (a thrill to see!) If you are a family of 4-6, Les Acajous is a perfect place to stay!"

"The other reviews are spot on: the villa is clean with a comfortable queen bed. The view is spectacular. The air conditioning works. The kitchen is functional with appropriate cookware and utensils. Furthermore, Edie is exactly as presented in the reviews: absolutely wonderful to work with.
The experience is best summarized by a quick anecdote. We arrived on a Saturday, and Edie was kind enough to have the place clean in time for our early arrival. We had brought frozen meat with us to take advantage of the grill for a couple of meals at home. Saturday evening I realized the propane was out. I sent an email to Edie that was poorly worded--I didn't need the propane that night, but rather wanted to make certain it would be available later in the week. On my life I swear that within 25 minutes she had someone at the villa changing the propane. I don't recall needing Edie's help the remainder of the week, but have no doubt it was available if needed.
I chose this villa based on the number and quality of reviews. All of the reviews are legitimate. The highest praise I can give is that my wife and I will look to stay at Villa Kali again in return trips to St. Barths."
