  • Perfect Retreat!

"3 of us stayed in Caribbean Blue for a week. We couldn't have enjoyed ourselves more! The owners are very considerate and leave everything you need for a perfect vacation- use of the kayak and fishing gear was greatly appreciated. The solitude was amazing, and if we wanted some fun it was a short drive to Sky Beach Resort for drinks and music or into Governor's Harbor. We definitely plan to return."

  • Wonderful Location

"My husband and I stayed at Marcos' lovely property for two weeks. The views from the property are priceless. We could see the ocean in the distance from the back terrace and could see the rain forest from the front windows. The home was comfortable and the size of the home was perfect for us. We especially liked having our morning coffee on the terrace looking out over the valley/ocean. The beach in town is beautiful. There are several good restaurants in the area not to mention the Kiosks. My only suggestion to the owner would be to consider upgrading the linens. Other than that we have only good things to say about this property and would recommend staying here to friends if they are ever in Puerto Rico."

  • The best view on a most beautiful beach

"The condo itself is beautiful and the view unbelievable. Leanne and Jaya are great to work with and very responsive to requests and questions, including making dinner reservations. When we arrived Jamy was wonderful to work with and he made sure we had everything we needed, including taking us to get lobster tails and making sure we got a good deal. The condo was very clean, something Jamy takes pride in. We cooked in 3 nights using the grill. We enjoyed some of the restaurants for dinner and lunch and also enjoyed the Fish Fry, do get there by 5:30 for seats. Being right in front of the reef is wonderful and we enjoyed swimming around it everyday when the water was calm. Please do respect the red flags, enough said. That brings me to the beach. The chairs are comfortable and in great shape. The beach attendants are a pleasure and must be commended for the work they do keeping people from swimming inside the reef. Believe me they have a difficult job and they do it well. We had beautiful days and most people were on the beach, I hardly saw anyone in the pools. We also enjoyed being so close to Somewhere, we got drinks from there a few times and enjoyed the music at night from the condo, it was never late. I do have to say a few negatives. While the furniture is beautiful and well maintained, much of it is not comfortable. The deck lounges and living room furniture are not comfortable at all to sit in. The loungers need something, and the couch cushions are too thin it feels like you are sitting with a bar along your bottom. We were there at the same time as woodland gardner and we all had the same feelings. It really was a shame because the living room and the deck are so beautiful and relaxing and all you really want to do is enjoy them. We spent most of our time sitting in the chairs at the deck table. I also think some of the kitchen utensils could be updated and our refrigerator leaked inside and we kept a bowl to collect the water. We did find the bed comfortable. We also loved the sliding doors open during the day hearing the ocean and feeling the breeze. The air conditioner cooled the condo at night, we were able to shut it off one cool evening and opening the doors. Coral Gardens needs to add a few more water toys for people to use. I noticed some newer items at other resorts. The Developers Condos are beautiful and deserve a little more attention to make them as special as they can be. Turks and Caicos and Grace Bay is a must visit place."

  • A wonderful week with Friends

"We have just returned home from staying at this amazing home. We had a total of 7 people and found the house to be very comfortable. Our favorite part is the patio that we sat on for hours just watching the waves and the color of the water change hourly. Location is great. Very quite but close to everything you many need. The drive to Grocery stores, restaurants, and Rincon was very quick. We enjoyed the time here so much that we have already started planning our next trip back."

St. Barthelemy Travel Tips

Seasons to Travel to St. Barthelemy Vacation Rentals

St. Barthelemy is a small horseshoe-shaped island located near St. Maarten in the Caribbean. It is an independent French territory that once was part of Guadeloupe. The island is more often simply referred to as St. Barts or St. Barths. With its location in the Caribbean, it enjoys a year-round warm tropical climate. The summer months can get humid and most rainfall occurs during this time of year. Typically, the thunderstorms are intense and short-lived. The sunshine often returns afterward and visitors can enjoy clear skies. Occasional tropical storms can blow through during the late summer months. While it is a destination that is visited all year long, the most popular travel season tends to be between December and April. Many people travel from Europe and North America to escape from colder northern climates. At this time of year, it is also less humid and the days are still enjoyably warm.

VIP Visitors to St. Barthelemy Villas

St. Barths has over the years built a reputation for being one of the elite Caribbean vacation destinations. Perhaps it is because it is fairly remote and not particularly well known that it remains a favorite hideaway for European royalty and Hollywood celebrities. Even relatively early on in its history, the island developed a talent for creating commerce which turned it into a relatively wealthy island compared to many of its Caribbean neighbors. The resorts and vacation homes are exclusive and stylish with hefty price tags to match. If it is a remote and private vacation destination that you are looking for, then it's well worth it.

Top Attractions near St. Barthelemy Resort Rentals

Some of St. Barth's main attractions are its beautiful beaches. The island is volcanic in nature which has resulted in a number of secluded coves and quiet beaches. Never far away are superb restaurants and beach bars where you can enjoy some local cuisine. The island is a duty-free tax haven and offers some superb shopping facilities. The main streets are lined with glamorous and designer boutiques showing off all kinds of fashions and accessories. It is somewhere where you can spoil yourself with that pair of designer shoes you have been eying for a while. If you would like to enjoy the azure blue ocean, you can arrange a charter on one of the many luxury yachts moored in the harbor. Cruising around the coastline, you can drop anchor near one of the reefs and spend the day snorkeling and swimming.

Getting to Caribbean Vacation Rentals in St. Barthelemy

St. Barths has a small airport with a tarmac runway but can only accommodate smaller commercial aircraft. Larger commercial aircraft such as air buses cannot land on the island. For international travelers, you will first travel to the neighboring island of the Dutch-governed St. Maarten. From there, you can get a quick 10-minute shuttle flight across to St. Barths. There are several airlines operating shuttle flights, and charter companies are also available for private charter flights. As an alternative routing, you can also fly via Guadeloupe. The regional flight takes approximately 45 to 60 minutes, depending on which airline you choose. If charter flights are your preferred way of travel, you can look into routing via the islands of Antigua or San Juan on Puerto Rico. Once on the island, the easiest way to get around is by taxi. Car rentals and chauffeur-driven vehicles are also available. These can be arranged at the airport upon arrival or by contacting a local operator in advance.
