  • Travelin' from TX

"My husband and I are always skeptical, but NO NEED with this villa. EVERYTHING is exactly as listed, but BETTER!! Raquel and Anthony answered every question and met every request. You can't ask for a better place to stay if you want R&R. It was a quick drive to town, a mini-mart down the street, the BEST beach on the island very close by, and live music across the bay from Las Braisas could be heard nightly from our patio. We will return here year-after-year!"

  • Perfect Vacation!! Fabulous Condo!!

"My husband, two sons (23 and 26) and I just got back from a 5 night stay at this beautiful condo on gorgeous Grace Bay. It was an incredible vacation and the accommodations were a big part this! I had already decided to stay at the RG because of its central locations and just happened to look at VRBO and found this amazing 3 bedroom condo for less than a 2 bedroom through the hotel site. Needless to say, our kids were delighted to have their own room and bath. The decor is lovely and beds so comfortable. Great kitchen and beautiful bathrooms. The balcony overlooking the ocean was our favorite spot. Eating breakfast, having predinner cocktails. and just sitting around and talking. Incredible breeze and wonderful hearing the ocean. Things could not have gone more smoothly. Candy and Craig immediately answered any questions and were great about sending any information we requested. The in town manager, Nicola, was at the reception when we arrived and gave us a tour of the facility. She also had made us some advance dinner reservations, had a pull cart for us to take to the grocery and gave us a cell phone to use while we where there, which was really nice. It was great to know we could call her at a moments notice, but everything ran so smoothly, we did not need her much. The staff at the RG was really wonderful. So friendly and helpful. Always plenty of beach towels for the pool or beach, umbrellas ready. Great pool side bar-Turks Head Lager was cold and perfect on hot afternoon. They offered great beach and pool service. The pool was beautiful, grounds lovely and everything so clean and well maintained. Not enough adjectives to describe sand and turquoise waters. We were fine not having a car. Were able to walk to all the restaurants, either along the beach or on Grace Bay Road. Grace Bay Gourmet was a 10 minute walk and had everything. Had delicious fresh fish at almost every meal. Ate at Bay Bistro (twice), Coco Bistro, Seven, Caicos Cafe, Hemingways, Somewhere, Cabana Beach Bar and the sports bar in town. Lots of places closed on Sunday, so make sure you figure that out. We never did get to Vix, Bouchon or Bella Italiano, so will have to do those on our return visit! Walked to Coral Reef and snorkeled-rented the equipment when we got there. The RG concierge arranged a taxi for us to go to the airport-Note that fee is about $14.00 per person, so make sure you have cash. All in all, paradise and thanks to the Davenports for making it so!!"

  • Lovely Villa

"Spent 8 nights at Seaspray and LOVED it! Location is close enough to everything and yet still out of the way. Villa is clean, comfortable and well appointed. The Owners and Manager were wonderful to deal with from beginning of process until the end of our stay. Thank you so much for a great place to relax and enjoy Barbados!!"

  • Amazing property and fantastic vacation

"This was such an amazing property and even better than advertised. We had a family vacation of 11 members and we all enjoyed the multi-level house with many different amenities. The house offered many fun activities right on the property. The house was close to lots of fun island entertainment and easy to access to and from the ferry. The care takers of the property went over and above to help us have a successful vacation. We will definitely come back next year. Thanks for letting us enjoy your home."

St. Barthelemy Travel Tips

Seasons to Travel to St. Barthelemy Vacation Rentals

St. Barthelemy is a small horseshoe-shaped island located near St. Maarten in the Caribbean. It is an independent French territory that once was part of Guadeloupe. The island is more often simply referred to as St. Barts or St. Barths. With its location in the Caribbean, it enjoys a year-round warm tropical climate. The summer months can get humid and most rainfall occurs during this time of year. Typically, the thunderstorms are intense and short-lived. The sunshine often returns afterward and visitors can enjoy clear skies. Occasional tropical storms can blow through during the late summer months. While it is a destination that is visited all year long, the most popular travel season tends to be between December and April. Many people travel from Europe and North America to escape from colder northern climates. At this time of year, it is also less humid and the days are still enjoyably warm.

VIP Visitors to St. Barthelemy Villas

St. Barths has over the years built a reputation for being one of the elite Caribbean vacation destinations. Perhaps it is because it is fairly remote and not particularly well known that it remains a favorite hideaway for European royalty and Hollywood celebrities. Even relatively early on in its history, the island developed a talent for creating commerce which turned it into a relatively wealthy island compared to many of its Caribbean neighbors. The resorts and vacation homes are exclusive and stylish with hefty price tags to match. If it is a remote and private vacation destination that you are looking for, then it's well worth it.

Top Attractions near St. Barthelemy Resort Rentals

Some of St. Barth's main attractions are its beautiful beaches. The island is volcanic in nature which has resulted in a number of secluded coves and quiet beaches. Never far away are superb restaurants and beach bars where you can enjoy some local cuisine. The island is a duty-free tax haven and offers some superb shopping facilities. The main streets are lined with glamorous and designer boutiques showing off all kinds of fashions and accessories. It is somewhere where you can spoil yourself with that pair of designer shoes you have been eying for a while. If you would like to enjoy the azure blue ocean, you can arrange a charter on one of the many luxury yachts moored in the harbor. Cruising around the coastline, you can drop anchor near one of the reefs and spend the day snorkeling and swimming.

Getting to Caribbean Vacation Rentals in St. Barthelemy

St. Barths has a small airport with a tarmac runway but can only accommodate smaller commercial aircraft. Larger commercial aircraft such as air buses cannot land on the island. For international travelers, you will first travel to the neighboring island of the Dutch-governed St. Maarten. From there, you can get a quick 10-minute shuttle flight across to St. Barths. There are several airlines operating shuttle flights, and charter companies are also available for private charter flights. As an alternative routing, you can also fly via Guadeloupe. The regional flight takes approximately 45 to 60 minutes, depending on which airline you choose. If charter flights are your preferred way of travel, you can look into routing via the islands of Antigua or San Juan on Puerto Rico. Once on the island, the easiest way to get around is by taxi. Car rentals and chauffeur-driven vehicles are also available. These can be arranged at the airport upon arrival or by contacting a local operator in advance.
