  • Loved every minute of St. John and Stillwater

"This was my family's second visit to Stillwater and we're already planning to stay there again next year...I think that says it all! We feel so at home in this beautiful villa. Everything we need for an island vacation is provided, the location is perfect for easy trips into town and to the lovely beaches, the villa is immaculately clean, spacious, and the ocean views are stunning. The owners are fabulous to work with. The power went out a few times during our stay but Bob was there quickly to get the generator running to keep the electricity going for us. Our family is so enjoying our vacations to this beautiful island and villa! Thank you Bob and Ann Marie!"

  • Great vacation rental

"I just returned from my trip to Rincon where I stayed at Casa Mae for 12 nights. This house was just perfect. I stayed in the house with my boyfriend and 4 of our close friends. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. Sandy beach was just a short walk down the hill along with several great places to eat! The property manager was very friendly, helpful and just a phone call away if we needed anything. I would absolutely stay here again during my next trip to Rincon and have no complaints."

  • A perfect winter get-away

"This was our first trip to Jamaica and it was wonderful. We have two small children and wanted help with the cooking and cleaning but we aren't the all-inclusive resort types. This was perfect for us. The staff were wonderful. Kind and genuine people who taught us about Jamaican foods, plants and customs. It was amazing to have such wonderful meals without lifting a finger. Miss Jen and Miss Medittta are excellent cooks. Raniel, Danville and Aman were generous guides and took great care of us on the crazy roads and shared local stories and politics with us. We had delightful trips up the Black River, to the Pelican Bar and to YS falls. The pool is just outside and it is a short walk down to the beach. The views from the villa are panoramic. You have a view of the sea anywhere you sit. I just moved from lounge chair to lounge chair. This was he most relaxing vacation I have ever had. Treasure Beach is a bit of a trek from the airport but well worth it. If you are looking for a vacation off the beaten path this is the place."

  • Secret Haven

"My wife and I had stayed at the Secret Harbor Beach Resort two years ago and wanted to have our children and grandchildren stay with us in the same area. This required a property which could, for a few days, accommodate 9 adults and two toddlers. Secret Haven provided all the space and facilities we needed. Secret Harbor is the finest area on St. Thomas. The sheltered harbor features a beautiful beach, excellent snorkeling, a full-service dive shop, and 2 good restaurants. Red Hook, with restaurants, stores, and the ferry to St. John is minutes away. Secret Haven is a modern, well-equipped property which met all of our needs. Sam, the property manager, provided total support prior to and during our vacation. She even picked us up at the airport and helped us address the non-arrival of our luggage."

St. Barthelemy Travel Tips

Seasons to Travel to St. Barthelemy Vacation Rentals

St. Barthelemy is a small horseshoe-shaped island located near St. Maarten in the Caribbean. It is an independent French territory that once was part of Guadeloupe. The island is more often simply referred to as St. Barts or St. Barths. With its location in the Caribbean, it enjoys a year-round warm tropical climate. The summer months can get humid and most rainfall occurs during this time of year. Typically, the thunderstorms are intense and short-lived. The sunshine often returns afterward and visitors can enjoy clear skies. Occasional tropical storms can blow through during the late summer months. While it is a destination that is visited all year long, the most popular travel season tends to be between December and April. Many people travel from Europe and North America to escape from colder northern climates. At this time of year, it is also less humid and the days are still enjoyably warm.

VIP Visitors to St. Barthelemy Villas

St. Barths has over the years built a reputation for being one of the elite Caribbean vacation destinations. Perhaps it is because it is fairly remote and not particularly well known that it remains a favorite hideaway for European royalty and Hollywood celebrities. Even relatively early on in its history, the island developed a talent for creating commerce which turned it into a relatively wealthy island compared to many of its Caribbean neighbors. The resorts and vacation homes are exclusive and stylish with hefty price tags to match. If it is a remote and private vacation destination that you are looking for, then it's well worth it.

Top Attractions near St. Barthelemy Resort Rentals

Some of St. Barth's main attractions are its beautiful beaches. The island is volcanic in nature which has resulted in a number of secluded coves and quiet beaches. Never far away are superb restaurants and beach bars where you can enjoy some local cuisine. The island is a duty-free tax haven and offers some superb shopping facilities. The main streets are lined with glamorous and designer boutiques showing off all kinds of fashions and accessories. It is somewhere where you can spoil yourself with that pair of designer shoes you have been eying for a while. If you would like to enjoy the azure blue ocean, you can arrange a charter on one of the many luxury yachts moored in the harbor. Cruising around the coastline, you can drop anchor near one of the reefs and spend the day snorkeling and swimming.

Getting to Caribbean Vacation Rentals in St. Barthelemy

St. Barths has a small airport with a tarmac runway but can only accommodate smaller commercial aircraft. Larger commercial aircraft such as air buses cannot land on the island. For international travelers, you will first travel to the neighboring island of the Dutch-governed St. Maarten. From there, you can get a quick 10-minute shuttle flight across to St. Barths. There are several airlines operating shuttle flights, and charter companies are also available for private charter flights. As an alternative routing, you can also fly via Guadeloupe. The regional flight takes approximately 45 to 60 minutes, depending on which airline you choose. If charter flights are your preferred way of travel, you can look into routing via the islands of Antigua or San Juan on Puerto Rico. Once on the island, the easiest way to get around is by taxi. Car rentals and chauffeur-driven vehicles are also available. These can be arranged at the airport upon arrival or by contacting a local operator in advance.
