  • You're gonna love the view!

"We loved it. The view is fantastic, the condo was a great size for the two of us and our 5 year old daughter. There were no bugs and the wind coming through made you feel as high as you were. The location is perfect for jumping on the ferry to Culebra. There are a handful of nice beaches at the most 15 minutes from the condo. Close to big grocery stores for cooking all of your meals in the kitchen. I didn't even need my hair dryer...there was a nice one there to use. You will love the place, no doubt about it."

  • Great House & Great Beach on Great Guana Cay

"Our family just spent a wonderful, relaxing week on Great Guana Cay at this VRBO Rental "Little Bee." The house was perfect – just the right size and had everything we needed (we were a family of 4, which included 2 teenagers). The all-around screened porch was great, the views fantastic, and I have to say the hammocks were a huge hit!! And the privacy and distance to the beach (and town) were just right . Speaking of the beach – WOW!! I have to say that was the most incredible beach I’ve ever been to. The color of the water and softness of the sand were fabulous, and so peaceful. We also enjoyed listening to the marine report every morning at 8:15 am (after we enjoyed watching the sunrise.) It was nice to meet Sally (caretaker) and know that she was there if we needed her – she was great. Everyone on the island was nice – we utilized Donna’s cart rental and Dive Guana (and Knowles the cab drive on Marsh Harbour – so kind!). Boating around the islands was lots of fun and being out there in that turquoise water was a dream come true. I sure hope we can get back some day."

St. Barthelemy Travel Tips

Seasons to Travel to St. Barthelemy Vacation Rentals

St. Barthelemy is a small horseshoe-shaped island located near St. Maarten in the Caribbean. It is an independent French territory that once was part of Guadeloupe. The island is more often simply referred to as St. Barts or St. Barths. With its location in the Caribbean, it enjoys a year-round warm tropical climate. The summer months can get humid and most rainfall occurs during this time of year. Typically, the thunderstorms are intense and short-lived. The sunshine often returns afterward and visitors can enjoy clear skies. Occasional tropical storms can blow through during the late summer months. While it is a destination that is visited all year long, the most popular travel season tends to be between December and April. Many people travel from Europe and North America to escape from colder northern climates. At this time of year, it is also less humid and the days are still enjoyably warm.

VIP Visitors to St. Barthelemy Villas

St. Barths has over the years built a reputation for being one of the elite Caribbean vacation destinations. Perhaps it is because it is fairly remote and not particularly well known that it remains a favorite hideaway for European royalty and Hollywood celebrities. Even relatively early on in its history, the island developed a talent for creating commerce which turned it into a relatively wealthy island compared to many of its Caribbean neighbors. The resorts and vacation homes are exclusive and stylish with hefty price tags to match. If it is a remote and private vacation destination that you are looking for, then it's well worth it.

Top Attractions near St. Barthelemy Resort Rentals

Some of St. Barth's main attractions are its beautiful beaches. The island is volcanic in nature which has resulted in a number of secluded coves and quiet beaches. Never far away are superb restaurants and beach bars where you can enjoy some local cuisine. The island is a duty-free tax haven and offers some superb shopping facilities. The main streets are lined with glamorous and designer boutiques showing off all kinds of fashions and accessories. It is somewhere where you can spoil yourself with that pair of designer shoes you have been eying for a while. If you would like to enjoy the azure blue ocean, you can arrange a charter on one of the many luxury yachts moored in the harbor. Cruising around the coastline, you can drop anchor near one of the reefs and spend the day snorkeling and swimming.

Getting to Caribbean Vacation Rentals in St. Barthelemy

St. Barths has a small airport with a tarmac runway but can only accommodate smaller commercial aircraft. Larger commercial aircraft such as air buses cannot land on the island. For international travelers, you will first travel to the neighboring island of the Dutch-governed St. Maarten. From there, you can get a quick 10-minute shuttle flight across to St. Barths. There are several airlines operating shuttle flights, and charter companies are also available for private charter flights. As an alternative routing, you can also fly via Guadeloupe. The regional flight takes approximately 45 to 60 minutes, depending on which airline you choose. If charter flights are your preferred way of travel, you can look into routing via the islands of Antigua or San Juan on Puerto Rico. Once on the island, the easiest way to get around is by taxi. Car rentals and chauffeur-driven vehicles are also available. These can be arranged at the airport upon arrival or by contacting a local operator in advance.
