"Our group of 4 adults stayed here for a week in early January. Everything was beyond our expectations. The condo is extremely comfortable and you can't beat the view from the huge sundeck. The colour of the water and the extremely easy access to it was fantastic. Just walk down the stairs or off the pier in front of the condo and you're there. One day we were even visited by a stingray. If we wanted to catch a sunset we just walked to other side of the complex. All the amenities worked perfectly and Barbara the property manager was very knowledgeable and friendly. She can arrange almost anything for you. We were going to rent a car for part of our stay but we found ourselves happily using the jitney service as they came by frequently and we loved the whole experience as each driver has his own style of music so it was always an adventure. We did enjoy the Poop Deck restaurant but our favourite was "Spritz" which is a short walk to the Olde Towne Marina Plaza in Sandyport. We did one organized tour to Clifton Heritage National Park which was well worth the money - a great history tour followed by a hot lunch delivered to our private beach. After seeing other parts of New Providence Island, we were still so happy that we chose Delaporte as our place to stay. It's a fantastic location and from what we could tell, this condo is the best situated one in the complex. Did I mention that the view from the deck is amazing?"

  • First family vacation with in laws and 8 month old

"Thanks Gregg and Aimee for allowing us to have a relaxing family vacation in beautiful Sapphire Bay! I was nervous about traveling with our 8 month old and in laws, but everyone had a great time, and everything went smoothly. Pros: 1. Gregg responded really quickly to all my questions via email -- and I had a lot of questions 2. Location! The beach is pristine and relaxing, and right outside your door. Short cab ride (you can probably walk it, but no sidewalks and hilly, so not with a baby) into Red Hook for restaurants, grocery store, and ferry to St John 3. Amenities. The condo has a closet outside full of snorkel gear, foam noodles, beach toys. Also, you get free beach chairs (just tip the guy $1-2). Normally they would be $9/day, so that is big savings. 4. Awesome views from both decks! Nothing like waking up and eating breakfast on the patio overlooking the ocean. 5. The condo is well-equipped. We used the coffee maker and microwave mainly, but there is a stove, full fridge, pots and pans, even a blender. Very convenient, as restaurants in St Thomas are really expensive. 6. There is a dive shop right outside where you can rent paddle boats and other things. If we were staying longer, we would probably take advantage. Cons: 1. (This is not Gregg's fault, but something to note). We were told there would be a playpen we can use a crib, but when we got there, it was nowhere to be found. It turns out the previous renters had broken it. So our daughter slept between us on the pullout couch, and it worked out, but not something we had planned for. 2. The staff at the front office won't help you at all with anything. But it's ok, cabs come really often to the resort, and the condo has a code, so you don't need a key. But they made it clear they won't help with anything."

  • Amazing!!

"My family vacationed at Ocean Dreams. The owner equipped the condo with everything we needed. The setup was well thought out. It was perfect!! The complex was well kept. We felt very safe. Security constantly patrolled the complex. We were seconds from the beach and a 5-minute walk along the beach to fantastic nightlife. Maria, the manager, was awesome. She was available at all times. She promptly responded to our questions. It was if we were Maria’s only clients!! She arrived on time to great us and was there on time to see us off. Mark, the owner of the condo, truly cares about his property. He called me soon after I requested information about his condo. He actually screened me. I had other choices, some less expensive, but he sold me. By the way, none of the other owners called me. The owners’ managers called me; the owners did not. The care and quality showed throughout the process. If you plan on visiting Caberete and want to stay at a beautiful, safe place, I highly recommend Mark's Ocean Dreams condo. We absolutely loved it!!"

  • Amazing

"Loved it from the moment we arrived. It was like home away from home. The condo was nicely decorated and was stocked with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The view from the patio was beautiful and we enjoyed having our coffee out there very morning. We loved the north side of the island as is it was so quiet and quaint. We walked everyday in the area and spent our days at Starfish point swimming and snorkeling then back again in the evenings to watch the beautiful sunsets. Make sure to make a trip to Stingray City and the snorkeling in the coral gardens. We had breakfast and lunch everyday at the condo and went out at night for dinner. Try Over the Edge great food and drinks at reasonable price. Thank you Lynn and we look forward to coming back in the near future"

St. Barthelemy Travel Tips

Seasons to Travel to St. Barthelemy Vacation Rentals

St. Barthelemy is a small horseshoe-shaped island located near St. Maarten in the Caribbean. It is an independent French territory that once was part of Guadeloupe. The island is more often simply referred to as St. Barts or St. Barths. With its location in the Caribbean, it enjoys a year-round warm tropical climate. The summer months can get humid and most rainfall occurs during this time of year. Typically, the thunderstorms are intense and short-lived. The sunshine often returns afterward and visitors can enjoy clear skies. Occasional tropical storms can blow through during the late summer months. While it is a destination that is visited all year long, the most popular travel season tends to be between December and April. Many people travel from Europe and North America to escape from colder northern climates. At this time of year, it is also less humid and the days are still enjoyably warm.

VIP Visitors to St. Barthelemy Villas

St. Barths has over the years built a reputation for being one of the elite Caribbean vacation destinations. Perhaps it is because it is fairly remote and not particularly well known that it remains a favorite hideaway for European royalty and Hollywood celebrities. Even relatively early on in its history, the island developed a talent for creating commerce which turned it into a relatively wealthy island compared to many of its Caribbean neighbors. The resorts and vacation homes are exclusive and stylish with hefty price tags to match. If it is a remote and private vacation destination that you are looking for, then it's well worth it.

Top Attractions near St. Barthelemy Resort Rentals

Some of St. Barth's main attractions are its beautiful beaches. The island is volcanic in nature which has resulted in a number of secluded coves and quiet beaches. Never far away are superb restaurants and beach bars where you can enjoy some local cuisine. The island is a duty-free tax haven and offers some superb shopping facilities. The main streets are lined with glamorous and designer boutiques showing off all kinds of fashions and accessories. It is somewhere where you can spoil yourself with that pair of designer shoes you have been eying for a while. If you would like to enjoy the azure blue ocean, you can arrange a charter on one of the many luxury yachts moored in the harbor. Cruising around the coastline, you can drop anchor near one of the reefs and spend the day snorkeling and swimming.

Getting to Caribbean Vacation Rentals in St. Barthelemy

St. Barths has a small airport with a tarmac runway but can only accommodate smaller commercial aircraft. Larger commercial aircraft such as air buses cannot land on the island. For international travelers, you will first travel to the neighboring island of the Dutch-governed St. Maarten. From there, you can get a quick 10-minute shuttle flight across to St. Barths. There are several airlines operating shuttle flights, and charter companies are also available for private charter flights. As an alternative routing, you can also fly via Guadeloupe. The regional flight takes approximately 45 to 60 minutes, depending on which airline you choose. If charter flights are your preferred way of travel, you can look into routing via the islands of Antigua or San Juan on Puerto Rico. Once on the island, the easiest way to get around is by taxi. Car rentals and chauffeur-driven vehicles are also available. These can be arranged at the airport upon arrival or by contacting a local operator in advance.
