"We stayed at the villa for 2 weeks the end of June for our 30th wedding anniversary. The villa was awesome. We really enjoyed the pool and used it everyday when we returned from the beach. We went to the different beaches everyday for 13 days in a row and found our favorites and returned a few times. The villa is very private and we enjoyed our two weeks there. The pictures and descriptions were accurate and it was very nice having air conditioning in both the living room area and bedrooms. Often we didn't even use it as there was an amazing breeze when the doors were opened to the pool. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and the housekeeping service spoiled us everyday by doing our dishes. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to explore st. Bart's and we hope to return some day soon. Thanks Nick and Lisa"Guest: Colorado Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: August 4, 2014View listing
"The Chloe Villa is a gem. Tucked away from immediate neighbors situated on a large old St. Bart's family's property with amazing views of Gustavia AND St.Jean. Well equipped and comfortable. The pool area is quite tight. We did not spend any time in it. Instead, to relax and lounge, we used our large and 3way open terrace with unobstructed views of Gustavia. It is a romantic paradise for 1 couple. The other bedroom is attached to the living rm. terrace. The villa is well designed considering the steep property. We would definitely return. A wonderful restaurant "Santa Fe" is within 4 min drive. Laura- the proprietor- was accommodating and prompt communicator."Guest: Anonymous Date of Stay: April 2014 Review Submitted: August 13, 2014View listing

"Staying in the African Queen was like stepping into a brochure that you've always read what a Caribbean vacation is supposed to be!! The Beautiful Villa , gorgeous grounds, and the 88ft.pool that makes you feel that you are swimming in private lagoon is just too much! The Villa is located in the best location in St.Barts next to major five star hotels and restaurants and a minutes drive from the Airport, town of Gustavia, and the fabulous beaches of St. Jean, Orient, Shell Beach and Flammand. I will definitely make plans to return plus the African Queen comes with a gracious host , That makes all your problems disappear while discretely living nearby but always making sure everything is in working order!!!! Yes Paradise found......"Guest: Rupert Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: July 23, 2014View listing
St. Barthelemy Travel Tips
Seasons to Travel to St. Barthelemy Vacation Rentals
St. Barthelemy is a small horseshoe-shaped island located near St. Maarten in the Caribbean. It is an independent French territory that once was part of Guadeloupe. The island is more often simply referred to as St. Barts or St. Barths. With its location in the Caribbean, it enjoys a year-round warm tropical climate. The summer months can get humid and most rainfall occurs during this time of year. Typically, the thunderstorms are intense and short-lived. The sunshine often returns afterward and visitors can enjoy clear skies. Occasional tropical storms can blow through during the late summer months. While it is a destination that is visited all year long, the most popular travel season tends to be between December and April. Many people travel from Europe and North America to escape from colder northern climates. At this time of year, it is also less humid and the days are still enjoyably warm.
VIP Visitors to St. Barthelemy Villas
St. Barths has over the years built a reputation for being one of the elite Caribbean vacation destinations. Perhaps it is because it is fairly remote and not particularly well known that it remains a favorite hideaway for European royalty and Hollywood celebrities. Even relatively early on in its history, the island developed a talent for creating commerce which turned it into a relatively wealthy island compared to many of its Caribbean neighbors. The resorts and vacation homes are exclusive and stylish with hefty price tags to match. If it is a remote and private vacation destination that you are looking for, then it's well worth it.

Some of St. Barth's main attractions are its beautiful beaches. The island is volcanic in nature which has resulted in a number of secluded coves and quiet beaches. Getting to Caribbean Vacation Rentals in St. Barthelemy
St. Barths has a small airport with a tarmac runway but can only accommodate smaller commercial aircraft. Larger commercial aircraft such as air buses cannot land on the island. For international travelers, you will first travel to the neighboring island of the Dutch-governed St. Maarten. From there, you can get a quick 10-minute shuttle flight across to St. Barths. There are several airlines operating shuttle flights, and charter companies are also available for private charter flights. As an alternative routing, you can also fly via Guadeloupe. The regional flight takes approximately 45 to 60 minutes, depending on which airline you choose. If charter flights are your preferred way of travel, you can look into routing via the islands of Antigua or San Juan on Puerto Rico. Once on the island, the easiest way to get around is by taxi. Car rentals and chauffeur-driven vehicles are also available. These can be arranged at the airport upon arrival or by contacting a local operator in advance.
