  • genuine Jamaican relaxation

"Our group of 4 had a very nice stay at this snug villa. Well maintained, simply furnished and meticulously clean. Plenty of space inside plus great front porch and upper balcony for enjoying the breezes. It's a short drive from pretty much all the north coast sights. You may want a rental car for maximum flexibility although they're happy to arrange for a courteous driver. This is not the place for you if you crave bustling shopping areas or partying clubs. What you get is a taste of real Jamaican coastal life, slow paced and sun drenched. Best part is perhaps the chance to know the lovely staff, who somehow make you feel as if you've come home. Be sure to ask Adessa to cook some ackee with salt fish!"

"This is one of the most breathtaking places I have been. This condo is very warm and inviting just like the owners and every item has been very carefully picked out and placed to make your stay comfortable. You will not want for anything and will be treated like family. There are so many places to go and a wonderful guide named Alfred to take you. His knowledge and smile are amazing. You also have the care taker and family living on property so if you need anything they are there to help. There is so much to do and so many places to eat you need to stay at least a week or longer, this is my 4th year and I will be back. If you need advice on places to go or what to do first ask Janis, I think she knows as much or more than the locals.. Welcome to paradise.."

  • Perfectly flexible

"This is a great property, and I think one of the few with direct access to the waterfront. The beach is fantastic and nearly deserted, and being at the end of the road keeps things nice and peaceful. We had a wonderful stay there, and the best part was the management staff, who are very flexible and communicative and do a wonderful job. Hopefully will be back someday soon! You definitely need a vehicle for this location unless you don't want to go anywhere, but other than that the unit has everything you need but for groceries, and even some of those!"

  • Love Puerto Rico!

"The location of this place was wonderful. The condos seem a little out of the way as you are traveling to them, but it's not as bad as it seems. The surrounding nature was indescribable and there were many things to do with little travel. We were anxious at first as to whether we had made the right decision. We had communication issues with the owner regarding payment and meeting, then were given the wrong condo and building number and had to try many different condos until the right one was found. It all worked out with a little patience. The condo was a pleasant surprise. Once we were comfortable and settled we realized we were on our own little 'resort'. There were few people, the surroundings were beautiful, the pool and grounds were very well kept. We had kayaks and bicycles available for our use. We used the kayaks and had a beautiful ride. If you enjoy biking there are many trails and the area seems to cater to bike riders. One of the most beautiful beaches is about a mile down the road (get there early on the weekend). I wouldn't recommend walking. Many beach areas and restaurants are only a short drive away. We visited Boqueron for an evening and Rincon for an afternoon. We would definitely go back, like right now :)"

St. Barthelemy Travel Tips

Seasons to Travel to St. Barthelemy Vacation Rentals

St. Barthelemy is a small horseshoe-shaped island located near St. Maarten in the Caribbean. It is an independent French territory that once was part of Guadeloupe. The island is more often simply referred to as St. Barts or St. Barths. With its location in the Caribbean, it enjoys a year-round warm tropical climate. The summer months can get humid and most rainfall occurs during this time of year. Typically, the thunderstorms are intense and short-lived. The sunshine often returns afterward and visitors can enjoy clear skies. Occasional tropical storms can blow through during the late summer months. While it is a destination that is visited all year long, the most popular travel season tends to be between December and April. Many people travel from Europe and North America to escape from colder northern climates. At this time of year, it is also less humid and the days are still enjoyably warm.

VIP Visitors to St. Barthelemy Villas

St. Barths has over the years built a reputation for being one of the elite Caribbean vacation destinations. Perhaps it is because it is fairly remote and not particularly well known that it remains a favorite hideaway for European royalty and Hollywood celebrities. Even relatively early on in its history, the island developed a talent for creating commerce which turned it into a relatively wealthy island compared to many of its Caribbean neighbors. The resorts and vacation homes are exclusive and stylish with hefty price tags to match. If it is a remote and private vacation destination that you are looking for, then it's well worth it.

Top Attractions near St. Barthelemy Resort Rentals

Some of St. Barth's main attractions are its beautiful beaches. The island is volcanic in nature which has resulted in a number of secluded coves and quiet beaches. Never far away are superb restaurants and beach bars where you can enjoy some local cuisine. The island is a duty-free tax haven and offers some superb shopping facilities. The main streets are lined with glamorous and designer boutiques showing off all kinds of fashions and accessories. It is somewhere where you can spoil yourself with that pair of designer shoes you have been eying for a while. If you would like to enjoy the azure blue ocean, you can arrange a charter on one of the many luxury yachts moored in the harbor. Cruising around the coastline, you can drop anchor near one of the reefs and spend the day snorkeling and swimming.

Getting to Caribbean Vacation Rentals in St. Barthelemy

St. Barths has a small airport with a tarmac runway but can only accommodate smaller commercial aircraft. Larger commercial aircraft such as air buses cannot land on the island. For international travelers, you will first travel to the neighboring island of the Dutch-governed St. Maarten. From there, you can get a quick 10-minute shuttle flight across to St. Barths. There are several airlines operating shuttle flights, and charter companies are also available for private charter flights. As an alternative routing, you can also fly via Guadeloupe. The regional flight takes approximately 45 to 60 minutes, depending on which airline you choose. If charter flights are your preferred way of travel, you can look into routing via the islands of Antigua or San Juan on Puerto Rico. Once on the island, the easiest way to get around is by taxi. Car rentals and chauffeur-driven vehicles are also available. These can be arranged at the airport upon arrival or by contacting a local operator in advance.
