  • The Way Life Should Be!

"My family and I traveled to St Croix for a Christmas visit and found Bill's cottage to be the most fabulous place! We absolutely loved it! The first day there my son and 12 year old niece snorkeled in front of the house and discovered a sea horse and two green turtles ready to play with us! Staying at Bill's was such a treat. Everything you need to enjoy the Sun and sand is right there. Snorkel gear, kayaks, beach chairs, a cooler for the day trips, towels and even two palm trees that frame a perfect sunset or rainbow over the Caribbean! The cottage is close enough to walk to downtown Frederiksted it you want to pick up a Geko Tour, rent a Sunbug or visit Pier 69 for a taste of good home cooking. Much of the time we were content to just kick back and relax with something on the grill and a cold beverage as we listened to the surf. I would highly recommend this a the place to stay in St Croix. Thanks for making our first Christmas in the tropics fantastic!"

  • Private and Secluded

"I was a little worried booking online and had read all the precious reviews which helped put me at ease with my decision on renting this property.... Well let me just tell you how amazing this home is. The pictures don't do any justice to this house. Endless views of 3 neighboring beaches, private home and you feel like your at a luxurious resort. My family did not want to leave at the end of the week. Monica, the owner was very nice and attentive and always replied promptly to my emails. We will definitely take into consideration this home next time we visit "la Isla del Encanto.""

  • a little piece of heaven!

"Thank you so much, Julie, for sharing your lovely condo with my husband and self. We were so ready to unwind and enjoy the surrounding beauty and your home and its location did not disappoint. Seven Mile Beach is the best beach we have ever visited and the location of the complex is perfect. We walked to everything including restaurants and grocery shopping. Every morning we walked for miles in either direction along the beach. The white luscious sand and beautiful blue/green ocean were mesmerizing. We never stopped taking pictures and sharing with family back home. First thing every morning was a refreshing dip in the ocean. The complex outside on the beach was quiet and comfortable. Other guests were considerate and friendly. There was a very nice mixture of the young and older. The sunsets were incredible, especially while relaxing with a glass of wine. Who would ever want to leave! Lisa, the property manger, was friendly and helpful and the daily maid service was always appropriate and considerate of our space and time. The unit is nicely decorated and very comfortable with a pretty ocean view. We enjoyed breakfast on the spacious deck each morning. This unit is on the top level of the building and it is a walk up, but so very pleasant once you arrive. The master bedroom was light and spacious and the bed was very comfortable. This was our 3rd visit to the island and so this trip was more about relaxing and simply enjoying our environment and Julie's condo certainly achieved all our goals. We would love to return to the Cayman again and would feel most comfortable right there in unit #28. We walked to some of our favorite restaurants such as Eduardo's and Sunshine Grill. We love the romantic feeling of the Italian restaurant 'Casa Nova' in town on the beach. Ask for an outdoor table. You will not be disappointed. We highly recommend this condo complex anytime you are wanting that 'little piece of heaven'! We eagerly look forward to our next visit! Thanks once more, Julie, for all your assistance in making this happen for us."

St. Barthelemy Travel Tips

Seasons to Travel to St. Barthelemy Vacation Rentals

St. Barthelemy is a small horseshoe-shaped island located near St. Maarten in the Caribbean. It is an independent French territory that once was part of Guadeloupe. The island is more often simply referred to as St. Barts or St. Barths. With its location in the Caribbean, it enjoys a year-round warm tropical climate. The summer months can get humid and most rainfall occurs during this time of year. Typically, the thunderstorms are intense and short-lived. The sunshine often returns afterward and visitors can enjoy clear skies. Occasional tropical storms can blow through during the late summer months. While it is a destination that is visited all year long, the most popular travel season tends to be between December and April. Many people travel from Europe and North America to escape from colder northern climates. At this time of year, it is also less humid and the days are still enjoyably warm.

VIP Visitors to St. Barthelemy Villas

St. Barths has over the years built a reputation for being one of the elite Caribbean vacation destinations. Perhaps it is because it is fairly remote and not particularly well known that it remains a favorite hideaway for European royalty and Hollywood celebrities. Even relatively early on in its history, the island developed a talent for creating commerce which turned it into a relatively wealthy island compared to many of its Caribbean neighbors. The resorts and vacation homes are exclusive and stylish with hefty price tags to match. If it is a remote and private vacation destination that you are looking for, then it's well worth it.

Top Attractions near St. Barthelemy Resort Rentals

Some of St. Barth's main attractions are its beautiful beaches. The island is volcanic in nature which has resulted in a number of secluded coves and quiet beaches. Never far away are superb restaurants and beach bars where you can enjoy some local cuisine. The island is a duty-free tax haven and offers some superb shopping facilities. The main streets are lined with glamorous and designer boutiques showing off all kinds of fashions and accessories. It is somewhere where you can spoil yourself with that pair of designer shoes you have been eying for a while. If you would like to enjoy the azure blue ocean, you can arrange a charter on one of the many luxury yachts moored in the harbor. Cruising around the coastline, you can drop anchor near one of the reefs and spend the day snorkeling and swimming.

Getting to Caribbean Vacation Rentals in St. Barthelemy

St. Barths has a small airport with a tarmac runway but can only accommodate smaller commercial aircraft. Larger commercial aircraft such as air buses cannot land on the island. For international travelers, you will first travel to the neighboring island of the Dutch-governed St. Maarten. From there, you can get a quick 10-minute shuttle flight across to St. Barths. There are several airlines operating shuttle flights, and charter companies are also available for private charter flights. As an alternative routing, you can also fly via Guadeloupe. The regional flight takes approximately 45 to 60 minutes, depending on which airline you choose. If charter flights are your preferred way of travel, you can look into routing via the islands of Antigua or San Juan on Puerto Rico. Once on the island, the easiest way to get around is by taxi. Car rentals and chauffeur-driven vehicles are also available. These can be arranged at the airport upon arrival or by contacting a local operator in advance.
