  • Amazing!

"My wife and I stayed there at the end of July for our 1st year anniversary and we could not have picked a better spot on the island. Dave's condo is top notch and is exactly, if not better, then what is posted on the add. Beautiful water views from every room in the condo, closest condo to the water, excellent snorkeling with a reef right off the beach. We had three days on the beach with nobody on it (off season)! Pretty incredible. Every morning we sat on the porch and watched the sunrise come up over the Caribbean ocean. Dave does an awesome job informing his renters about everything on the island and about the condo. He is super helpful with quick responses to email and even researched kayak rental places for us. We highly recommend this place and we hope to go back!"

  • Our Stay in Seahorse Cottage at the Edge of the Water Properties was memorable! People and Place!

"It was a joy to meet Kimy, Terry, Christine and Desmond and the place was everything that we expected and much more. Beautiful, serene, clean, simple yet well equipped. We enjoyed the cottage, the grounds, the coconuts, and taking the kayaks on the cove. We have already recommended the cottage to friends and family and we will be back."

  • Three Brothers and Their Wives Experience Elbow Cay

"Sunrise Point is the perfect hub from which to explore charming Elbow Cay! All three couples had their own bedroom and bathroom in a lovely, immaculate home. The wrap around porch was the perfect spot to enjoy sunrises with your coffee in the morning and sunsets with a glass of wine in the evening. The beach was such a fascinating one for walking upon. Beautiful location, walking distance to a great place to eat--Sea Spray Marina. Good places to eat abound on this island, we especially recommend Captain Jack's for lunch and the Firefly Resort for dinner. But, the kitchen has everything you need to create a delightful meal. The snorkeling in the area is awesome; it is great to rent a boat and very handy to use the owner's dock. Whether you have a boat or choose to use the ferry to travel between, we highly recommend visiting Man of War Cay and Little Harbor on Great Abaco. Helpful and supportive home manager, Wanda, is a wizard who can answer any question, solve any problem, supply whatever you need to enjoy your stay. We can't wait for our next adventure at Sunrise Point!"

  • "Warning, family vacation in progress"

"My father passed away in Dec. and we talked about taking a trip to Puerto Rico. My whole family got together and Diane graced us with a beautiful place to stay! The house was more than we imagined. The decor was amazing, creating this wonderful ambience for our family to gather. Diane was a great hostess and gave us some incredible tips! Diane also took a few family photos, which again was one of the many ways she showed her hospitality and generosity. The views and location were outstanding. We would highly recommend this "casita". With a view. Thanks again Diane!"

St. Barthelemy Travel Tips

Seasons to Travel to St. Barthelemy Vacation Rentals

St. Barthelemy is a small horseshoe-shaped island located near St. Maarten in the Caribbean. It is an independent French territory that once was part of Guadeloupe. The island is more often simply referred to as St. Barts or St. Barths. With its location in the Caribbean, it enjoys a year-round warm tropical climate. The summer months can get humid and most rainfall occurs during this time of year. Typically, the thunderstorms are intense and short-lived. The sunshine often returns afterward and visitors can enjoy clear skies. Occasional tropical storms can blow through during the late summer months. While it is a destination that is visited all year long, the most popular travel season tends to be between December and April. Many people travel from Europe and North America to escape from colder northern climates. At this time of year, it is also less humid and the days are still enjoyably warm.

VIP Visitors to St. Barthelemy Villas

St. Barths has over the years built a reputation for being one of the elite Caribbean vacation destinations. Perhaps it is because it is fairly remote and not particularly well known that it remains a favorite hideaway for European royalty and Hollywood celebrities. Even relatively early on in its history, the island developed a talent for creating commerce which turned it into a relatively wealthy island compared to many of its Caribbean neighbors. The resorts and vacation homes are exclusive and stylish with hefty price tags to match. If it is a remote and private vacation destination that you are looking for, then it's well worth it.

Top Attractions near St. Barthelemy Resort Rentals

Some of St. Barth's main attractions are its beautiful beaches. The island is volcanic in nature which has resulted in a number of secluded coves and quiet beaches. Never far away are superb restaurants and beach bars where you can enjoy some local cuisine. The island is a duty-free tax haven and offers some superb shopping facilities. The main streets are lined with glamorous and designer boutiques showing off all kinds of fashions and accessories. It is somewhere where you can spoil yourself with that pair of designer shoes you have been eying for a while. If you would like to enjoy the azure blue ocean, you can arrange a charter on one of the many luxury yachts moored in the harbor. Cruising around the coastline, you can drop anchor near one of the reefs and spend the day snorkeling and swimming.

Getting to Caribbean Vacation Rentals in St. Barthelemy

St. Barths has a small airport with a tarmac runway but can only accommodate smaller commercial aircraft. Larger commercial aircraft such as air buses cannot land on the island. For international travelers, you will first travel to the neighboring island of the Dutch-governed St. Maarten. From there, you can get a quick 10-minute shuttle flight across to St. Barths. There are several airlines operating shuttle flights, and charter companies are also available for private charter flights. As an alternative routing, you can also fly via Guadeloupe. The regional flight takes approximately 45 to 60 minutes, depending on which airline you choose. If charter flights are your preferred way of travel, you can look into routing via the islands of Antigua or San Juan on Puerto Rico. Once on the island, the easiest way to get around is by taxi. Car rentals and chauffeur-driven vehicles are also available. These can be arranged at the airport upon arrival or by contacting a local operator in advance.
