  • AMAZING!

"This was my fourth time in a year in St Barth's. The house was AMAZING! It is private but yet on beach and within 5 minutes of town. The house has all high end fixings and was well maintained daily by the always smiling housekeeper. The owner Chantal was a so nice and always available for questions. Dealing directly with a caring owner is much better than going through a rental agency. I cannot wait to return to this villa. Every room boasts an ocean view and breeze. It is truly paradise!"

  • Beautiful stay near Marigot Bay

"La Belle Vie allowed us to have an incredible vacation. We stayed in a hotel last visit but much preferred the ample space, freedom and extras that this villa provided. What we liked best: the patio with a sparkling pool and sunshine all afternoon; crisp, white and seagrass island casual furnishings; comfy beds and a perfectly stocked white and stainless kitchen. Every room from bathroom to kitchen was very clean. The location by Marigot Bay was super convenient for exploring St Barth's Beaches (our favorites: Shell, St Jean at Nikki Beach, and Marigot, a short walk down the street); Gustavia's harbor/shopping/people watching; and the numerous restaurants scattered all over the island. Our favorite night was probably the one we cooked at home, grilling up fresh fish that had been caught that day. The manager of the home lives nearby and was extremely helpful when we called her for advice on about the island. The American owner was pleasant and easy to deal with -- she responded immediately to our questions before the trip. Bonuses at La Belle Vie: washer/dryer, covered parking, wifi and Apple TV."

  • Paradise found!

"Staying in the African Queen was like stepping into a brochure that you've always read what a Caribbean vacation is supposed to be!! The Beautiful Villa , gorgeous grounds, and the 88ft.pool that makes you feel that you are swimming in private lagoon is just too much! The Villa is located in the best location in St.Barts next to major five star hotels and restaurants and a minutes drive from the Airport, town of Gustavia, and the fabulous beaches of St. Jean, Orient, Shell Beach and Flammand. I will definitely make plans to return plus the African Queen comes with a gracious host , That makes all your problems disappear while discretely living nearby but always making sure everything is in working order!!!! Yes Paradise found......"

St. Barthelemy Travel Tips

Seasons to Travel to St. Barthelemy Vacation Rentals

St. Barthelemy is a small horseshoe-shaped island located near St. Maarten in the Caribbean. It is an independent French territory that once was part of Guadeloupe. The island is more often simply referred to as St. Barts or St. Barths. With its location in the Caribbean, it enjoys a year-round warm tropical climate. The summer months can get humid and most rainfall occurs during this time of year. Typically, the thunderstorms are intense and short-lived. The sunshine often returns afterward and visitors can enjoy clear skies. Occasional tropical storms can blow through during the late summer months. While it is a destination that is visited all year long, the most popular travel season tends to be between December and April. Many people travel from Europe and North America to escape from colder northern climates. At this time of year, it is also less humid and the days are still enjoyably warm.

VIP Visitors to St. Barthelemy Villas

St. Barths has over the years built a reputation for being one of the elite Caribbean vacation destinations. Perhaps it is because it is fairly remote and not particularly well known that it remains a favorite hideaway for European royalty and Hollywood celebrities. Even relatively early on in its history, the island developed a talent for creating commerce which turned it into a relatively wealthy island compared to many of its Caribbean neighbors. The resorts and vacation homes are exclusive and stylish with hefty price tags to match. If it is a remote and private vacation destination that you are looking for, then it's well worth it.

Top Attractions near St. Barthelemy Resort Rentals

Some of St. Barth's main attractions are its beautiful beaches. The island is volcanic in nature which has resulted in a number of secluded coves and quiet beaches. Never far away are superb restaurants and beach bars where you can enjoy some local cuisine. The island is a duty-free tax haven and offers some superb shopping facilities. The main streets are lined with glamorous and designer boutiques showing off all kinds of fashions and accessories. It is somewhere where you can spoil yourself with that pair of designer shoes you have been eying for a while. If you would like to enjoy the azure blue ocean, you can arrange a charter on one of the many luxury yachts moored in the harbor. Cruising around the coastline, you can drop anchor near one of the reefs and spend the day snorkeling and swimming.

Getting to Caribbean Vacation Rentals in St. Barthelemy

St. Barths has a small airport with a tarmac runway but can only accommodate smaller commercial aircraft. Larger commercial aircraft such as air buses cannot land on the island. For international travelers, you will first travel to the neighboring island of the Dutch-governed St. Maarten. From there, you can get a quick 10-minute shuttle flight across to St. Barths. There are several airlines operating shuttle flights, and charter companies are also available for private charter flights. As an alternative routing, you can also fly via Guadeloupe. The regional flight takes approximately 45 to 60 minutes, depending on which airline you choose. If charter flights are your preferred way of travel, you can look into routing via the islands of Antigua or San Juan on Puerto Rico. Once on the island, the easiest way to get around is by taxi. Car rentals and chauffeur-driven vehicles are also available. These can be arranged at the airport upon arrival or by contacting a local operator in advance.
