  • In love with Estate Rose

"Estate Rose is absolute paradise! I just returned from an eight day stay. The first half of the trip was a girls getaway with the second half a romantic vacation with my husband. I thought the pictures on VRBO were beautiful, but my expectations were far exceeded in person. Breathtaking! The grounds are amazing and so beautifully kept. The living quarters are top notch with access to a gourmet kitchen, game room, library, workout area and outdoor patio and grill. The pool area is surrounded by luxurious outdoor furniture with a variety of options to sit in full sun or be shaded. The views are stunning from any direction on the estate. The owner has thought of every detail, including robes and coffee pots in each room as well availability to a concierge for activity planning. One day we had in home massages that were the ultimate in relaxation. I have been to other islands before, but this was my first visit to St. John. We loved the feel of the island. Very casual, easy going and everyone is extremely friendly. I loved that the staff at the bars and restaurants are so outgoing. I feel like we made friends with everyone we came in contact with. We did take an all day boat trip via See and Ski. The tour was awesome! We were on the water from 8-5, seeing most of the VI's and stopping at several. Capt. Daniel was so knowledgable! I will definitely return to St. John and Estate Rose. Would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone. I can't wait until next time!"

  • Villa Haute Maison

"I'm afraid to write this review as I will sing praises so loud the villa will be booked solid the next time I want to visit! The stunning view should be enough to persuade you to chose this place but if not, perhaps the commercial kitchen will. Any gourmet will be in heaven cooking in this island paradise. Make sure to hit the fish market in Gustavia by 6am for the freshest provisions- trust me it's worth it. This is not your typical rental where the furnishings are bought with rental destroyers in mind. No, Libby, furnished Haute Maison with nothing less than the finest so you feel you've been invited into her home. No detail has been overlooked. All you need to bring is your swimsuit- everything else awaits you. And with your private pool and hot tub there is no reason to ever leave. It's a shame when you leave to sightsee around the island! However, do take the time to hike down to Colombier beach. You can access the trail right by the villa. Trust me- it's worth the effort. While others fought the Mosquitos beachside we sat high and bug free with an unbeatable vista. The only negative I can think of--- no wait, there's nothing negative here. Thanks so much Libby for making my husbands 50th birthday celebration a lifetime memory to cherish."

  • Villa Chikitu-perfect vacations

"We had an excellent stay in villa Chikitu in March. We absolutely liked: 1. Communicating with Dee - the response was very fast, professional and very enjoyable. It was our first visit to Bonaire and Dee provided us with a lot of useful information. 2. The villa is excellent. It is very clean, has comfortable beds and furniture. A nice kitchen. It is also very private. 3. The property is very nice - it is like a private oasis with pull, palms and flowers. We absolutely liked the outside sink to wash our snorkeling gear - I am sure divers will appreciate it even more. 4. The location of the villa is very convenient. You can access downtown in 5 min, major groceries stores in 10 min, airport in 20 min. We strongly recommend to rent a car/truck to enjoy the island. The property is gated and there is plenty of space for parking. 5. We really appreciate professionalism of the property manager. Roy picked up us in airport (our flight was delayed). We had a bottle of nice red vine as a compliment - very nice touch after 6 hrs flight. Roy also checked several time with us during our stay making sure that everything is fine. I hope we will be back soon."

  • Wonderful ocean views from the balcony!

"Our family of 4 ( 2 adult children) enjoyed a fabulous week at Turks and Caicos and Villa Renaissance. The beach front property and pool were beautiful and ideally located within walking distance to shops and restaurants. The onsite staff were friendly and helpful. The suite was great, especially the sliding wall of windows that opened up the balcony to the condo. The ocean views from the balcony were wonderful! The furniture and beds were comfortable and the suite had everything we needed. We had great weather and thoroughly enjoyed the magnificent beach. The owner was very responsive to our inquiries and provided us with much useful information and recommendations. We would be pleased to rent Suite Margarita again and to recommend it to friends."

St. Barthelemy Travel Tips

Seasons to Travel to St. Barthelemy Vacation Rentals

St. Barthelemy is a small horseshoe-shaped island located near St. Maarten in the Caribbean. It is an independent French territory that once was part of Guadeloupe. The island is more often simply referred to as St. Barts or St. Barths. With its location in the Caribbean, it enjoys a year-round warm tropical climate. The summer months can get humid and most rainfall occurs during this time of year. Typically, the thunderstorms are intense and short-lived. The sunshine often returns afterward and visitors can enjoy clear skies. Occasional tropical storms can blow through during the late summer months. While it is a destination that is visited all year long, the most popular travel season tends to be between December and April. Many people travel from Europe and North America to escape from colder northern climates. At this time of year, it is also less humid and the days are still enjoyably warm.

VIP Visitors to St. Barthelemy Villas

St. Barths has over the years built a reputation for being one of the elite Caribbean vacation destinations. Perhaps it is because it is fairly remote and not particularly well known that it remains a favorite hideaway for European royalty and Hollywood celebrities. Even relatively early on in its history, the island developed a talent for creating commerce which turned it into a relatively wealthy island compared to many of its Caribbean neighbors. The resorts and vacation homes are exclusive and stylish with hefty price tags to match. If it is a remote and private vacation destination that you are looking for, then it's well worth it.

Top Attractions near St. Barthelemy Resort Rentals

Some of St. Barth's main attractions are its beautiful beaches. The island is volcanic in nature which has resulted in a number of secluded coves and quiet beaches. Never far away are superb restaurants and beach bars where you can enjoy some local cuisine. The island is a duty-free tax haven and offers some superb shopping facilities. The main streets are lined with glamorous and designer boutiques showing off all kinds of fashions and accessories. It is somewhere where you can spoil yourself with that pair of designer shoes you have been eying for a while. If you would like to enjoy the azure blue ocean, you can arrange a charter on one of the many luxury yachts moored in the harbor. Cruising around the coastline, you can drop anchor near one of the reefs and spend the day snorkeling and swimming.

Getting to Caribbean Vacation Rentals in St. Barthelemy

St. Barths has a small airport with a tarmac runway but can only accommodate smaller commercial aircraft. Larger commercial aircraft such as air buses cannot land on the island. For international travelers, you will first travel to the neighboring island of the Dutch-governed St. Maarten. From there, you can get a quick 10-minute shuttle flight across to St. Barths. There are several airlines operating shuttle flights, and charter companies are also available for private charter flights. As an alternative routing, you can also fly via Guadeloupe. The regional flight takes approximately 45 to 60 minutes, depending on which airline you choose. If charter flights are your preferred way of travel, you can look into routing via the islands of Antigua or San Juan on Puerto Rico. Once on the island, the easiest way to get around is by taxi. Car rentals and chauffeur-driven vehicles are also available. These can be arranged at the airport upon arrival or by contacting a local operator in advance.
