  • Pimento Hill - very special place - great vacation!!

"We just returned from Pimento Hill House yesterday.... what a wonderful week we had there! The house and the grounds are beautiful. The pictures you see on line can't do justice to the views or to the house! The house itself accommodated our group of 13 (6 adults, 7 teens) perfectly. We have traveled together for spring break for the past 6 years to some very wonderful places and we all agreed that it will be hard to top Pimento Hill. The staff at the villa is a great group of people - they are cheerful, helpful, and kind and they really gifted us with a delightful and stress-free vacation. To have Delano available anytime with a very comfortable van that accommodated our whole group was awesome! Ralston delivered a new unique flower from the property to each of the ladies every morning... and he keeps the gardens and grounds looking amazing. Eric and Brandon are both so friendly and kind - they made mealtime at the villa such a delight. Christine and Yvonne kept our rooms feeling so inviting and they were like laundry fairies.... our clothes would show up in the afternoon washed and folded in the closet! Finally, Pansy in the kitchen.... she is magic back there! Our group includes one vegan and three people who have to be gluten free. In addition to providing delicious meals, Pansy did it while also accommodating some very difficult dietary requirements. The membership at Round Hill that is included in the rental is a perfect compliment to the house. Round Hill is a very unique and beautiful place with a history as interesting as Pimento Hill. We enjoyed the beach, the pools, the fitness center, the restaurant, High Tea, tennis, snorkeling... it's a great spot! We really can't say enough good things about Pimento Hill. Jane, the owner, was so helpful as we were planning the trip. It is obvious that she loves Pimento Hill and is committed to making sure that her guests have a great visit there. She has done a wonderful job restoring and decorating the home, as all the spaces in and around the house are very beautiful. We can't wait to go back!!"

  • AMAZING!! Truly Paradise

"This was our first trip to Great Exuma and it was truly amazing. I cannot say enough great things about the people, the island, the gorgeous scenery and this amazing house on the beach. It was absolutely gorgeous. The owner was a pleasure to work with and the house lived up to all our expectations. Can't wait to go back again."

  • Amazing views

"This property was everything Kirk said it would be. It is all you need to have the perfect vacation. We snorkeled on the beach right off the balcony, saw beautiful coral and sea turtles out by the breakwater. There is a great swimming beach a little to the left of the pool. The pool was never crowded, actually the entire beach area where we stayed had only a few people. It is the perfect location to catch the ferry from Red Hook to St. John, less than a mile away. We rented a car so we could explore all the beautiful beaches, but Sapphire beach is really quite gorgeous. Loved the balcony for morning coffee and evening cocktails. The condo comes equipped with everything needed for cooking, coffee pot, beach toys, cooler, etc. Kirk is only a phone call away if needed (we didn't need him) and I would stay here again."

  • Island Hot Spot

"We just spent a wonderful week in Aruba. The house was fantastic! So much room for all of us (4 adults and 3 kids) and really conveniently located. You can walk to the beach from the house but I would still recommend getting a car as it is so hot and there is so much to see on the island. You are also right by all the high rise hotels with access to their restaurants, casinos and more. We had no problems at all and would consider staying here again. Everyone involved with the property was pleasant and accommodating. The kids loved getting up every morning and right into the pool and doing the same last thing at night. Great place to stay!"

St. Barthelemy Travel Tips

Seasons to Travel to St. Barthelemy Vacation Rentals

St. Barthelemy is a small horseshoe-shaped island located near St. Maarten in the Caribbean. It is an independent French territory that once was part of Guadeloupe. The island is more often simply referred to as St. Barts or St. Barths. With its location in the Caribbean, it enjoys a year-round warm tropical climate. The summer months can get humid and most rainfall occurs during this time of year. Typically, the thunderstorms are intense and short-lived. The sunshine often returns afterward and visitors can enjoy clear skies. Occasional tropical storms can blow through during the late summer months. While it is a destination that is visited all year long, the most popular travel season tends to be between December and April. Many people travel from Europe and North America to escape from colder northern climates. At this time of year, it is also less humid and the days are still enjoyably warm.

VIP Visitors to St. Barthelemy Villas

St. Barths has over the years built a reputation for being one of the elite Caribbean vacation destinations. Perhaps it is because it is fairly remote and not particularly well known that it remains a favorite hideaway for European royalty and Hollywood celebrities. Even relatively early on in its history, the island developed a talent for creating commerce which turned it into a relatively wealthy island compared to many of its Caribbean neighbors. The resorts and vacation homes are exclusive and stylish with hefty price tags to match. If it is a remote and private vacation destination that you are looking for, then it's well worth it.

Top Attractions near St. Barthelemy Resort Rentals

Some of St. Barth's main attractions are its beautiful beaches. The island is volcanic in nature which has resulted in a number of secluded coves and quiet beaches. Never far away are superb restaurants and beach bars where you can enjoy some local cuisine. The island is a duty-free tax haven and offers some superb shopping facilities. The main streets are lined with glamorous and designer boutiques showing off all kinds of fashions and accessories. It is somewhere where you can spoil yourself with that pair of designer shoes you have been eying for a while. If you would like to enjoy the azure blue ocean, you can arrange a charter on one of the many luxury yachts moored in the harbor. Cruising around the coastline, you can drop anchor near one of the reefs and spend the day snorkeling and swimming.

Getting to Caribbean Vacation Rentals in St. Barthelemy

St. Barths has a small airport with a tarmac runway but can only accommodate smaller commercial aircraft. Larger commercial aircraft such as air buses cannot land on the island. For international travelers, you will first travel to the neighboring island of the Dutch-governed St. Maarten. From there, you can get a quick 10-minute shuttle flight across to St. Barths. There are several airlines operating shuttle flights, and charter companies are also available for private charter flights. As an alternative routing, you can also fly via Guadeloupe. The regional flight takes approximately 45 to 60 minutes, depending on which airline you choose. If charter flights are your preferred way of travel, you can look into routing via the islands of Antigua or San Juan on Puerto Rico. Once on the island, the easiest way to get around is by taxi. Car rentals and chauffeur-driven vehicles are also available. These can be arranged at the airport upon arrival or by contacting a local operator in advance.
