  • Belizing The Dream

"We were a group of 6 who had been planning this vacation (bucket list for a few of us) for 2+ yrs. From the time we decided on the house, Randy, the owner, was very accommodating with answers to our many questions. As we came from various corners of the world, we arrived exhausted, but Victor, the caretaker, was welcoming and explained everything we needed to know. We had arranged for his lovely and kind wife, Noemi, to cook us dinner on our arrival, which allowed us to decompress from our journey. The house was exactly like the photos and we loved it. On several nights, we watched the never ending, sky full of stars, on the roof top deck while sitting in the hot tub. The worst part of the whole trip was leaving the following Sunday. One week is not long enough! Thanks Randy, Victor & Noemi, for adding to our experience. We will be back!"

  • Perfect location!

"My adult kids and I stayed at Ixora recently and it was our second stay at this home. We love its location as you can get to virtually every area of the island, especially the great beaches, very easily. The home had every amenity we needed and on those nights when we weren't dining out it was so enjoyable to grill out and enjoy the spectacular view. Using the hot tub while stargazing was an added plus. With the views and the plentiful space it was always a pleasure to both get ready to head out for each days' adventure and then return home to clean up to either go out or simply stay in. Jim, the property manager, met us at our jeep rental place and led us to the home. He pointed out the things we needed to know and offered to help in any way. Sure enough, a few minor things were needed a couple days later and, true to his word, Jim attended to them that same day while we were out. I'd happily recommend Ixora - but just don't reserve it for when I next intend on reserving it! AR"

  • A Sweet Oasis: Safe, Soothing, & Special

"I am a fan of vacation rentals, read tons of reviews and often find myself distrusting the places that claim are perfect. Yet, that is the best word I can use to describe this sweet guest house. My husband and I were looking for an affordable vacation rental for a snorkeling-focused anniversary trip. We wanted to be out the buzz of the high-rises and have the flexibility of having our own space. This accommodation hit every mark. Incredibly clean, great wi-fi, laundry facilities, a handy kitchenette, close to the beach, quaint outdoor seating, a grill, safe neighborhood, and additional perks that added to the enjoyment of our vacation both at the accommodation and out & about on the island. The studio style guest house was the perfect size to keep things simple and easy to maintain. It was our oasis retreat after a day of sightseeing and adventures. The guest house was exactly that and perhaps for some vacationers too close to the main house on the property. Personally, I appreciated the set up. It made me feel safe and secure. The yard/courtyard is serene and the owners are amazing. They were helpful, friendly and give their guests lots of space (although they are so cool I wished I saw them more). When the two of us return to Aruba, this will be our destination again. I feel lucky that we even had a chance to stay there. I was not surprised that they get return guests and I look forward to the next time when I will be one if them."

  • second visit . . .just as wonderful

"This was the second visit to the Villa. This time we stayed in the one bedroom one bath. WE had previously stayed in the two/one bath. . . both were excellent. The Villa's are well equipped, and the location is ideal. We spent most of our trip in the private beach but also waded/swam to the famous Magens Bay. Water is crystal clear, breeze was beautiful. Never had to use the very convenient air conditioning. We've been to St Thomas many times and I don't think there is a better place to stay. We brought our own portable rafts, but there are a few noodles available for use. The only thing we missed were beach chairs if you wished to travel over to some of the other beaches. That is the only thing we would have loved and buying them in St Thomas would have been rather expensive. But you really have everything else you need. WE purchased grocery's at "Cost U Less' which we found a better value than other food marts. The kitchen had everything you'd need. Even sugar for morning coffee. Fabulous trip, easy to book, owners have a gem!"

St. Barthelemy Travel Tips

Seasons to Travel to St. Barthelemy Vacation Rentals

St. Barthelemy is a small horseshoe-shaped island located near St. Maarten in the Caribbean. It is an independent French territory that once was part of Guadeloupe. The island is more often simply referred to as St. Barts or St. Barths. With its location in the Caribbean, it enjoys a year-round warm tropical climate. The summer months can get humid and most rainfall occurs during this time of year. Typically, the thunderstorms are intense and short-lived. The sunshine often returns afterward and visitors can enjoy clear skies. Occasional tropical storms can blow through during the late summer months. While it is a destination that is visited all year long, the most popular travel season tends to be between December and April. Many people travel from Europe and North America to escape from colder northern climates. At this time of year, it is also less humid and the days are still enjoyably warm.

VIP Visitors to St. Barthelemy Villas

St. Barths has over the years built a reputation for being one of the elite Caribbean vacation destinations. Perhaps it is because it is fairly remote and not particularly well known that it remains a favorite hideaway for European royalty and Hollywood celebrities. Even relatively early on in its history, the island developed a talent for creating commerce which turned it into a relatively wealthy island compared to many of its Caribbean neighbors. The resorts and vacation homes are exclusive and stylish with hefty price tags to match. If it is a remote and private vacation destination that you are looking for, then it's well worth it.

Top Attractions near St. Barthelemy Resort Rentals

Some of St. Barth's main attractions are its beautiful beaches. The island is volcanic in nature which has resulted in a number of secluded coves and quiet beaches. Never far away are superb restaurants and beach bars where you can enjoy some local cuisine. The island is a duty-free tax haven and offers some superb shopping facilities. The main streets are lined with glamorous and designer boutiques showing off all kinds of fashions and accessories. It is somewhere where you can spoil yourself with that pair of designer shoes you have been eying for a while. If you would like to enjoy the azure blue ocean, you can arrange a charter on one of the many luxury yachts moored in the harbor. Cruising around the coastline, you can drop anchor near one of the reefs and spend the day snorkeling and swimming.

Getting to Caribbean Vacation Rentals in St. Barthelemy

St. Barths has a small airport with a tarmac runway but can only accommodate smaller commercial aircraft. Larger commercial aircraft such as air buses cannot land on the island. For international travelers, you will first travel to the neighboring island of the Dutch-governed St. Maarten. From there, you can get a quick 10-minute shuttle flight across to St. Barths. There are several airlines operating shuttle flights, and charter companies are also available for private charter flights. As an alternative routing, you can also fly via Guadeloupe. The regional flight takes approximately 45 to 60 minutes, depending on which airline you choose. If charter flights are your preferred way of travel, you can look into routing via the islands of Antigua or San Juan on Puerto Rico. Once on the island, the easiest way to get around is by taxi. Car rentals and chauffeur-driven vehicles are also available. These can be arranged at the airport upon arrival or by contacting a local operator in advance.
