"The house, gardens, pool and location are fantastic. Although situated in local residential area the locals were very friendly and we felt safe at all times. The house is very close to Gibbs beach which in our opinion, having spent many years visiting the Island, is one of the best in Barbados. Jefferson is the owner of Carlton bar and grill situated at the end of the road and who is extremely friendly and assisted in sourcing the best value hire car, taxi and island boat trips. The villa owner, Jennifer, is also very friendly and helpful. All in all a fantastic villa and holiday"

  • Awesome Vacation

"My Wife, 2 boys and I enjoyed our week at the Ritz Club in St Thomas. The Staff at the property are amazing. The condo was beautiful and had everything we needed. The owner, Ken, was great to work with. We were last minute on our planning and he worked very hard to make this vacation happen for us. He also provided us with information he has gathered about the resort and the Island over the last 17 years he and his family have been vacationing there. We had such a great time. We went fishing and caught 60 lbs of Black fin Tuna. It was so good. The Deckhand cut one up on the way back to the resort and we had sushi on the boat. We took the ferry over to St. John and snorkeled Trunk Bay which was rated one of the top beaches in the world. We took a boat over to Virgin Gorda and toured these huge rock formations called the Baths. We went too Cook island with a population of only 35 residences and had a great lunch. We snorkeled the caves of Norman Island where pirates hid their treasure. There is so much to do around the Islands and on the Island. We took a water Taxi over to Hassel Island where we rented a golf cart to tour the island. We visited the old WW2 Artillery Bunker which was very interesting and has great views. Then we Golf carted down to a beautiful Bay and ate a great meal at an open air beach restaurant and swam in the bay with the kids all afternoon. The Ritz Carlton Club on St Thomas is an ideal vacation for Families because it is located so close to all of the activities and has seperate bedrooms for everyone and a kitchen. We ate several meals in the residence. Their is a grocery store 5 minutes from the resort with everything a mainland store would have. We had maid service every day. They changed our linens mid week and we had turn down service every night. We loved our Housekeeper. She became part of the Family by weeks end. To sum it all up. The owner was great to work with. St Thomas is a great vacation destination with many activities to do and incredible beaches if you just want to relax. The Ritz Carlton Club is the most luxurious accommodation on the island. I couldn't think of a better place to Stay on St. Thomas. We will be back again."

  • Awesome Resort..Better Villa!

"We just got back from staying in Puerto Rico and had an amazing time. While the resort is great the villa was even better. The value was amazing for what it was. Watch out for Richies cafe the local restaurant...very pricey. You must eat local food. amazing. Villla was comfortable for our needs and we loved the wooden finishings and the furniture. Amazing view of the golf course from the villa and great natural AC when you opened up the windows. Richard was easy to get in touch with....he works at the Ritz Carlton in Dorado so seemed to be in tune with all the tours and things to do in the area. Great help...Thank you!| Park at the beach club pool (5 mins awl or 1 minute drive) for free and avoid the hotel parking fees. Hotel was a 5 minute walk from the parking. Pool next to the villa was a godsend. All in all an amazing vacation...We already worked out our repeat visitor discount!"

St. Barthelemy Travel Tips

Seasons to Travel to St. Barthelemy Vacation Rentals

St. Barthelemy is a small horseshoe-shaped island located near St. Maarten in the Caribbean. It is an independent French territory that once was part of Guadeloupe. The island is more often simply referred to as St. Barts or St. Barths. With its location in the Caribbean, it enjoys a year-round warm tropical climate. The summer months can get humid and most rainfall occurs during this time of year. Typically, the thunderstorms are intense and short-lived. The sunshine often returns afterward and visitors can enjoy clear skies. Occasional tropical storms can blow through during the late summer months. While it is a destination that is visited all year long, the most popular travel season tends to be between December and April. Many people travel from Europe and North America to escape from colder northern climates. At this time of year, it is also less humid and the days are still enjoyably warm.

VIP Visitors to St. Barthelemy Villas

St. Barths has over the years built a reputation for being one of the elite Caribbean vacation destinations. Perhaps it is because it is fairly remote and not particularly well known that it remains a favorite hideaway for European royalty and Hollywood celebrities. Even relatively early on in its history, the island developed a talent for creating commerce which turned it into a relatively wealthy island compared to many of its Caribbean neighbors. The resorts and vacation homes are exclusive and stylish with hefty price tags to match. If it is a remote and private vacation destination that you are looking for, then it's well worth it.

Top Attractions near St. Barthelemy Resort Rentals

Some of St. Barth's main attractions are its beautiful beaches. The island is volcanic in nature which has resulted in a number of secluded coves and quiet beaches. Never far away are superb restaurants and beach bars where you can enjoy some local cuisine. The island is a duty-free tax haven and offers some superb shopping facilities. The main streets are lined with glamorous and designer boutiques showing off all kinds of fashions and accessories. It is somewhere where you can spoil yourself with that pair of designer shoes you have been eying for a while. If you would like to enjoy the azure blue ocean, you can arrange a charter on one of the many luxury yachts moored in the harbor. Cruising around the coastline, you can drop anchor near one of the reefs and spend the day snorkeling and swimming.

Getting to Caribbean Vacation Rentals in St. Barthelemy

St. Barths has a small airport with a tarmac runway but can only accommodate smaller commercial aircraft. Larger commercial aircraft such as air buses cannot land on the island. For international travelers, you will first travel to the neighboring island of the Dutch-governed St. Maarten. From there, you can get a quick 10-minute shuttle flight across to St. Barths. There are several airlines operating shuttle flights, and charter companies are also available for private charter flights. As an alternative routing, you can also fly via Guadeloupe. The regional flight takes approximately 45 to 60 minutes, depending on which airline you choose. If charter flights are your preferred way of travel, you can look into routing via the islands of Antigua or San Juan on Puerto Rico. Once on the island, the easiest way to get around is by taxi. Car rentals and chauffeur-driven vehicles are also available. These can be arranged at the airport upon arrival or by contacting a local operator in advance.
