  • "Heaven on earth"

"Hi Ben and Cathy, Our 25th anniversary celebration was absolutely amazing. We couldn't have imagined a more relaxing 25th anniversary. The view, the snorkeling, and just plain relaxing kept us delighted the entire time. The property is incredible and the views breathtaking. As we renewed our vows on the little bench by the waters edge a perfect double rainbow formed from start to finish before our eyes. Dolphin Lookout actually exceeded all of our expectations. Simply heaven on earth. So looking forward to our next adventure in July 2015. Thanks for very much, Brian and Mary"

"Amazing villa!!!!!! i am extremely picky and i could not find one thing bad about this villa, everything was perfect! I had a great stay; beds were super comfortable, house was exceptionally clean and in great condition, location was good as well. the outside area and pool are perfect, just the right size, extremely nice and relaxing. even better than the villa, was the villa manager, anything you needed, she provided; any questions, were immediately answered, and extremely sweet as well as helpful and professional. i ended my stay with zero complaints, which is extremely rare for me, but only proves how perfect villa kalandra is!!"

  • Family Reunion of 2014

"Fourteen years ago my family had a reunion in Grand Cayman and stayed at Cayman Time, albeit we knew it then as the Owner's House owned and managed by a wonderfully friendly and loving couple whom we had the pleaseure of meeting and have maintained contact with over these many years.. There were just 12 of us then (10 adults and two grandchildren) and the owners were permitted at that time to allow all of us to stay in the house. I believe they are now limited to 10 guests. It was the most fabulous reunion we have ever had, and we have done it somewhere (cruises, resorts, Beaches, etc) every other year for the past 20 years. Now our Family is 20 in size ( still 10 adults but now 10 grandchildren) and while 10 of us stayed at Cayman Time the others stayed next door in two Condo Units that accommodated two of our individual families. This was a our "Return to Grand Cayman" reunion and it was even better than the first. The owners of Cayman Time made their home available for our entire Family to enjoy their private and wonderful beach and hammocks, and to enjoy meals together on the screened in porch overlooking the ocean. We were provided with a woman who came daily to clean and make any arrangements we needed. She was fabulous. We enjoyed a week of luxury and pampering while we renewed family ties and gave the cousins (10 in total) a great time to get to know each other and bond as family. Everything was provided for our well being including advise on restaurants, scuba diving, boat tours of Stingray City, swimming with the dolphins and much more. If any Family wants to experience heaven on earth, Grand Cayman is a start and Cayman Time is the ultimate. Thanks so much for making our "Return to Grand Cayman" so wonderful and memorable. Mary and Woody"

  • Nice house with a great layout for families.

"We really enjoyed our week here. We were 4 couples traveling together. We did have an issue with the Wi-Fi router crapping out on us. The good news is that Clifton was there the next day and got it replaced for us. This is a high end property without a doubt, but it is starting to show its age a bit. The Tierra Del Sol community is the best on the Island for sure, no worries there. Pros: -Good sized pool with a large patio/deck area. It supplies good shade when needed. -The open kitchen and great room is perfect for 8 people. -There was enough chairs inside and out for all of us. -There is great closet/storage area upstairs and down. -Clifton was there to care of any needs we had. Cons: -The lounge chairs by the pool need to be replaced. You sit against the steel bars. -The layout is NOT ideal for 4 couples. Only two of the bedrooms have ensuites. The other two rooms must share a bathroom. -Most of the bedrooms do not have blinds/curtains, so you are up with the chickens. -The interior could use a coat of paint, especially the doors and trim. But not a big deal. Overall Joe and Clifton were very good to deal with and very efficient. It was a good experience."

St. Barthelemy Travel Tips

Seasons to Travel to St. Barthelemy Vacation Rentals

St. Barthelemy is a small horseshoe-shaped island located near St. Maarten in the Caribbean. It is an independent French territory that once was part of Guadeloupe. The island is more often simply referred to as St. Barts or St. Barths. With its location in the Caribbean, it enjoys a year-round warm tropical climate. The summer months can get humid and most rainfall occurs during this time of year. Typically, the thunderstorms are intense and short-lived. The sunshine often returns afterward and visitors can enjoy clear skies. Occasional tropical storms can blow through during the late summer months. While it is a destination that is visited all year long, the most popular travel season tends to be between December and April. Many people travel from Europe and North America to escape from colder northern climates. At this time of year, it is also less humid and the days are still enjoyably warm.

VIP Visitors to St. Barthelemy Villas

St. Barths has over the years built a reputation for being one of the elite Caribbean vacation destinations. Perhaps it is because it is fairly remote and not particularly well known that it remains a favorite hideaway for European royalty and Hollywood celebrities. Even relatively early on in its history, the island developed a talent for creating commerce which turned it into a relatively wealthy island compared to many of its Caribbean neighbors. The resorts and vacation homes are exclusive and stylish with hefty price tags to match. If it is a remote and private vacation destination that you are looking for, then it's well worth it.

Top Attractions near St. Barthelemy Resort Rentals

Some of St. Barth's main attractions are its beautiful beaches. The island is volcanic in nature which has resulted in a number of secluded coves and quiet beaches. Never far away are superb restaurants and beach bars where you can enjoy some local cuisine. The island is a duty-free tax haven and offers some superb shopping facilities. The main streets are lined with glamorous and designer boutiques showing off all kinds of fashions and accessories. It is somewhere where you can spoil yourself with that pair of designer shoes you have been eying for a while. If you would like to enjoy the azure blue ocean, you can arrange a charter on one of the many luxury yachts moored in the harbor. Cruising around the coastline, you can drop anchor near one of the reefs and spend the day snorkeling and swimming.

Getting to Caribbean Vacation Rentals in St. Barthelemy

St. Barths has a small airport with a tarmac runway but can only accommodate smaller commercial aircraft. Larger commercial aircraft such as air buses cannot land on the island. For international travelers, you will first travel to the neighboring island of the Dutch-governed St. Maarten. From there, you can get a quick 10-minute shuttle flight across to St. Barths. There are several airlines operating shuttle flights, and charter companies are also available for private charter flights. As an alternative routing, you can also fly via Guadeloupe. The regional flight takes approximately 45 to 60 minutes, depending on which airline you choose. If charter flights are your preferred way of travel, you can look into routing via the islands of Antigua or San Juan on Puerto Rico. Once on the island, the easiest way to get around is by taxi. Car rentals and chauffeur-driven vehicles are also available. These can be arranged at the airport upon arrival or by contacting a local operator in advance.
