  • Beautiful Condo

"This penthouse condo is a true penthouse, we did have the best of views! Panoramic views. It includes two indoor jacuzzi tubs, three showers and hot tub outside. Bath and bedrooms are very large, and could easily accomodate 8. Furniture is comfy and very nice. The condo is well furnished, well stocked with cleaning products, bedding, comfortable beds, lots of towels, beach towels as well. Hair appliances. We met the cleaning staff and they are very nice also. The only issue was with the pool not being useful for the majority of our stay, however this was being fixed whilst we were there. Security is very friendly at the gate. Also do not expect interaction with other condo guests, we barely seen anyone anywhere. Very close to Maho (walking distance) as well as Maho and Mullet Beach. Maho has a great grocery store with good prepared food as well for very cheap. There is a casino in Maho and a few clubs. We found club scene to be very young. Would highly recommend this location and the owners Ron and Susan as they are quick to respond and trustworthy."

  • Great house on a perfect island

"My family of 5 really enjoyed our 1 week stay there. The house is clean and well maintained. The location is very convenient - just minutes from the Baths and the amenities of Spanish Town, breezy nights on the hill with no need for A/C. Sharon is really responsive and helpful, as well as Sonja who is local. Great experience overall. Stoyan"

  • Repeat guests, consistently amazing!

"This is our third time renting the house from Diane. Perfect for large families - great value! The house is beautiful and has all the amenities that you want, and more. The beach is wonderful, private and quiet. I recommend you rent a car to move around - - groceries, movie theaters, pharmacy, restaurants close by, but not walking distance. The car is also useful in longer stays if you want to venture out to Old San Juan, El Yunque Rainforest, etc. After moving stateside, this is now our home in PR! Thanks Diane!"

  • Return trip!

"I hadn't been back since 2012 but it was just as wonderful as I remembered. The house location is lovely, oceanfront as well as lagoon-sited. Breezes all the time! There were 10 of us this time and we all had comfortable, large rooms with our own bathrooms. Large living area as well as lanais on both sides of the house make for lots of room to socialize (or escape to the hammock!). But the best part is Ruth - cook extraordinaire and housekeeper. Her meals (3/day if you want) were delicious and interesting whether it be your own fresh-caught fish or something she picked up at the grocery. She manages everything with grace and a great sense of humor. There's much to do in Eleuthera, without the crowds of Nassau and other Bahamian islands. You can arrange to go deep-water fishing with Sid or just cruise to the uninhabited islands for snorkeling and a picnic. You can also fish and snorkel right off the beach, as well as kayak and collect shells. Cotton Bay itself is a great place to jog or walk on the road or beach. My favorite activity every day was a nap mid-afternoon, feeling the breezes from both sides of the property and listening to the surf. Paradise!"

St. Barthelemy Travel Tips

Seasons to Travel to St. Barthelemy Vacation Rentals

St. Barthelemy is a small horseshoe-shaped island located near St. Maarten in the Caribbean. It is an independent French territory that once was part of Guadeloupe. The island is more often simply referred to as St. Barts or St. Barths. With its location in the Caribbean, it enjoys a year-round warm tropical climate. The summer months can get humid and most rainfall occurs during this time of year. Typically, the thunderstorms are intense and short-lived. The sunshine often returns afterward and visitors can enjoy clear skies. Occasional tropical storms can blow through during the late summer months. While it is a destination that is visited all year long, the most popular travel season tends to be between December and April. Many people travel from Europe and North America to escape from colder northern climates. At this time of year, it is also less humid and the days are still enjoyably warm.

VIP Visitors to St. Barthelemy Villas

St. Barths has over the years built a reputation for being one of the elite Caribbean vacation destinations. Perhaps it is because it is fairly remote and not particularly well known that it remains a favorite hideaway for European royalty and Hollywood celebrities. Even relatively early on in its history, the island developed a talent for creating commerce which turned it into a relatively wealthy island compared to many of its Caribbean neighbors. The resorts and vacation homes are exclusive and stylish with hefty price tags to match. If it is a remote and private vacation destination that you are looking for, then it's well worth it.

Top Attractions near St. Barthelemy Resort Rentals

Some of St. Barth's main attractions are its beautiful beaches. The island is volcanic in nature which has resulted in a number of secluded coves and quiet beaches. Never far away are superb restaurants and beach bars where you can enjoy some local cuisine. The island is a duty-free tax haven and offers some superb shopping facilities. The main streets are lined with glamorous and designer boutiques showing off all kinds of fashions and accessories. It is somewhere where you can spoil yourself with that pair of designer shoes you have been eying for a while. If you would like to enjoy the azure blue ocean, you can arrange a charter on one of the many luxury yachts moored in the harbor. Cruising around the coastline, you can drop anchor near one of the reefs and spend the day snorkeling and swimming.

Getting to Caribbean Vacation Rentals in St. Barthelemy

St. Barths has a small airport with a tarmac runway but can only accommodate smaller commercial aircraft. Larger commercial aircraft such as air buses cannot land on the island. For international travelers, you will first travel to the neighboring island of the Dutch-governed St. Maarten. From there, you can get a quick 10-minute shuttle flight across to St. Barths. There are several airlines operating shuttle flights, and charter companies are also available for private charter flights. As an alternative routing, you can also fly via Guadeloupe. The regional flight takes approximately 45 to 60 minutes, depending on which airline you choose. If charter flights are your preferred way of travel, you can look into routing via the islands of Antigua or San Juan on Puerto Rico. Once on the island, the easiest way to get around is by taxi. Car rentals and chauffeur-driven vehicles are also available. These can be arranged at the airport upon arrival or by contacting a local operator in advance.
