  • Excellent Vacation Home!

"We traveled here as extended family. The layout was great...master, then 2 twins on basement level (with full bath), main floor had another master, then 2 twins (and full bath), upstairs was kitchen and living quarters. Wonderful to have A/C in all rooms!!! We saw the local chickens (children named them Royal, Raisin, and Grape) and monkeys (Plumeria, Richard, Strawberry, and Nut) from our house and balcony. Supermarket is right down the street, though, if you have transportation, I recommend Massey grocery stores inland...prices are better and shopping is much more modern. Beach close to the property is very rocky...recommend water shoes for this beach. LOVED Boatyard beach and Pebbles kid friendly! Wonderful unit, everyone was so friendly...if we get to come back, we will want to stay there again!!!"

  • Relaxing privacy

"We highly recommend IDelfini for a relaxing and very quiet and private stay on St. John. We knew most of the great beaches are not right there near fish bay (but great view), so we reserved/rented a jeep (all tolled $593/week) and went to a different beach each day to snorkel or take a hike (reef bay and Ram head) The beauty of St. John is being able to choose a different great beach every day for weeks. Katha and Vezio are awesome hosts and the apartment was very clean, updated and equipped. Vezio picked us up at the passenger dock at 10:30pm when we arrived and still gave us a quick tour. Katha gave us another briefing on things to do and delivered us to the rental car agency the next day. More like friends than landlords. You could hear occasional footsteps from above, but otherwise being under their home was no problem. Other things we liked: use of beach chairs, teak interior doors/trim, Virgin island travel books, lots of fans, big deck with lounge chairs, open, well ventilated space, close parking, water filter jug in fridge, open shower, and as much privacy as we wanted. If you want a beachfront or place right in town, this is not it. If you want to enjoy the serenity of St. John with a beautiful view, island foliage, close access and comfortable privacy, IDelfini is your place."

  • Loved this villa and view!

"We just left BHOM yesterday and it was difficult to leave, not only St. John, but this wonderful villa! There were two couples and we had the first 2 floors which was very sufficient. The spacious outdoor deck on the main floor has comfy furniture and a million dollar view!!! We all felt quite comfortable there and would not hesitate to stay again. I especially enjoyed my morning coffee with the hummingbirds and bananaquits and THAT view! We could not imagine a more wonderful place to begin or end our day! The pictures are very accurate and the villa was well equipped. Enjoy!"

  • beautiful property and wonderful people

"Our stay at Neston was very homely. Mr. Furbert and his family are very friendly and hospitable and helpful. They took us to rent our scooters and helped with booking taxis. The property is beautiful! Our room was spotless and having the kitchenette and fridge was very useful. Our favourite thing to do was walk down to the dock and sit by the water. Having the scooter was very useful as the main road is a at least a 10-15 minute walk. There is a great grocery store and gas station close by. We went to Hamilton and south shore beaches multiple times during our stay. St.Georges is also only a half an hour ride away. Anywhere you need to go in Bermuda is only a half an hour ride from Neston. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Bermuda. The only minor issue we faced was the the air conditioner seemed to be under powered. But as we visited in May, it was still very pleasant and we didn't face any discomfort."

St. Barthelemy Travel Tips

Seasons to Travel to St. Barthelemy Vacation Rentals

St. Barthelemy is a small horseshoe-shaped island located near St. Maarten in the Caribbean. It is an independent French territory that once was part of Guadeloupe. The island is more often simply referred to as St. Barts or St. Barths. With its location in the Caribbean, it enjoys a year-round warm tropical climate. The summer months can get humid and most rainfall occurs during this time of year. Typically, the thunderstorms are intense and short-lived. The sunshine often returns afterward and visitors can enjoy clear skies. Occasional tropical storms can blow through during the late summer months. While it is a destination that is visited all year long, the most popular travel season tends to be between December and April. Many people travel from Europe and North America to escape from colder northern climates. At this time of year, it is also less humid and the days are still enjoyably warm.

VIP Visitors to St. Barthelemy Villas

St. Barths has over the years built a reputation for being one of the elite Caribbean vacation destinations. Perhaps it is because it is fairly remote and not particularly well known that it remains a favorite hideaway for European royalty and Hollywood celebrities. Even relatively early on in its history, the island developed a talent for creating commerce which turned it into a relatively wealthy island compared to many of its Caribbean neighbors. The resorts and vacation homes are exclusive and stylish with hefty price tags to match. If it is a remote and private vacation destination that you are looking for, then it's well worth it.

Top Attractions near St. Barthelemy Resort Rentals

Some of St. Barth's main attractions are its beautiful beaches. The island is volcanic in nature which has resulted in a number of secluded coves and quiet beaches. Never far away are superb restaurants and beach bars where you can enjoy some local cuisine. The island is a duty-free tax haven and offers some superb shopping facilities. The main streets are lined with glamorous and designer boutiques showing off all kinds of fashions and accessories. It is somewhere where you can spoil yourself with that pair of designer shoes you have been eying for a while. If you would like to enjoy the azure blue ocean, you can arrange a charter on one of the many luxury yachts moored in the harbor. Cruising around the coastline, you can drop anchor near one of the reefs and spend the day snorkeling and swimming.

Getting to Caribbean Vacation Rentals in St. Barthelemy

St. Barths has a small airport with a tarmac runway but can only accommodate smaller commercial aircraft. Larger commercial aircraft such as air buses cannot land on the island. For international travelers, you will first travel to the neighboring island of the Dutch-governed St. Maarten. From there, you can get a quick 10-minute shuttle flight across to St. Barths. There are several airlines operating shuttle flights, and charter companies are also available for private charter flights. As an alternative routing, you can also fly via Guadeloupe. The regional flight takes approximately 45 to 60 minutes, depending on which airline you choose. If charter flights are your preferred way of travel, you can look into routing via the islands of Antigua or San Juan on Puerto Rico. Once on the island, the easiest way to get around is by taxi. Car rentals and chauffeur-driven vehicles are also available. These can be arranged at the airport upon arrival or by contacting a local operator in advance.
