  • Perfect Easter

"We had an absolutely amazing Easter vacation at Randy's place. When we first got there the air conditioner wasn't working properly, but Randy sent over a repair man and in no time it was fixed. The condo was clean and had everything we needed. We really enjoyed swimming in the pool, ocean and even did some snorkelling. There are eagle rays, sting rays, tarpon, conch, and other fish right off the dock. The condo is close to supermarket, and restaurants. I highly recommend this condo and this island."

  • Paradise

"We can't say enough good things about the house and the island. The house was very clean and accommodated our group of 10 with lots of elbow room! The property is beautiful with plants, trees, and flowers. It feels private. I loved getting up early to have coffee on the deck with the view of the water. Walking around town was a favorite as well as snorkeling at Mosquito pier. The beaches are amazing and so few people that you feel like you have the beach to yourself. We rented a 4wd Jeep so we could get to some remote beaches. It was hard to leave..."

  • Return to Cielo Villa

"After a long day of travel we (8 people) arrived at Cielo Villa around 7PM. This was the second time for us at Cielo V. We had asked for dinner on arrival and were not disappointed. Rum punch all around and then island egg rolls that disappeared quickly! We could have made a meal out of them if served more but then came the chicken, beans and rice...Wow! Desert was pina collates, virgin and not. Afore mentioned was extra of course but well worth it! Before the food, grandson (14) was in the pool having a great time. Did I mention the view? Wow! Cane Garden beach and the BVI islands to the north! Roads to Cielo V are typical island roads with gravel on the last 200 feet. Nancy the owner was always available for questions by email and phone. All in all we had a great time with stories to tell in the years ahead!"

St. Barthelemy Travel Tips

Seasons to Travel to St. Barthelemy Vacation Rentals

St. Barthelemy is a small horseshoe-shaped island located near St. Maarten in the Caribbean. It is an independent French territory that once was part of Guadeloupe. The island is more often simply referred to as St. Barts or St. Barths. With its location in the Caribbean, it enjoys a year-round warm tropical climate. The summer months can get humid and most rainfall occurs during this time of year. Typically, the thunderstorms are intense and short-lived. The sunshine often returns afterward and visitors can enjoy clear skies. Occasional tropical storms can blow through during the late summer months. While it is a destination that is visited all year long, the most popular travel season tends to be between December and April. Many people travel from Europe and North America to escape from colder northern climates. At this time of year, it is also less humid and the days are still enjoyably warm.

VIP Visitors to St. Barthelemy Villas

St. Barths has over the years built a reputation for being one of the elite Caribbean vacation destinations. Perhaps it is because it is fairly remote and not particularly well known that it remains a favorite hideaway for European royalty and Hollywood celebrities. Even relatively early on in its history, the island developed a talent for creating commerce which turned it into a relatively wealthy island compared to many of its Caribbean neighbors. The resorts and vacation homes are exclusive and stylish with hefty price tags to match. If it is a remote and private vacation destination that you are looking for, then it's well worth it.

Top Attractions near St. Barthelemy Resort Rentals

Some of St. Barth's main attractions are its beautiful beaches. The island is volcanic in nature which has resulted in a number of secluded coves and quiet beaches. Never far away are superb restaurants and beach bars where you can enjoy some local cuisine. The island is a duty-free tax haven and offers some superb shopping facilities. The main streets are lined with glamorous and designer boutiques showing off all kinds of fashions and accessories. It is somewhere where you can spoil yourself with that pair of designer shoes you have been eying for a while. If you would like to enjoy the azure blue ocean, you can arrange a charter on one of the many luxury yachts moored in the harbor. Cruising around the coastline, you can drop anchor near one of the reefs and spend the day snorkeling and swimming.

Getting to Caribbean Vacation Rentals in St. Barthelemy

St. Barths has a small airport with a tarmac runway but can only accommodate smaller commercial aircraft. Larger commercial aircraft such as air buses cannot land on the island. For international travelers, you will first travel to the neighboring island of the Dutch-governed St. Maarten. From there, you can get a quick 10-minute shuttle flight across to St. Barths. There are several airlines operating shuttle flights, and charter companies are also available for private charter flights. As an alternative routing, you can also fly via Guadeloupe. The regional flight takes approximately 45 to 60 minutes, depending on which airline you choose. If charter flights are your preferred way of travel, you can look into routing via the islands of Antigua or San Juan on Puerto Rico. Once on the island, the easiest way to get around is by taxi. Car rentals and chauffeur-driven vehicles are also available. These can be arranged at the airport upon arrival or by contacting a local operator in advance.
