  • Excelente casa

"La comunicación previa al viaje fue excelente con la Sra Hilda quien nos suministro la información preliminar para organizar nuestras actividades . A nuestra llegada fuimos recibidos por el personal con una amabilidad extraordinaria y demás esta decir que comimos muy bien . La casa es muy cómoda y bien decorada con espacios y jardines interiores y una piscina que se une prácticamente a los campos de golf lo cual le da una amplia sensación de espacio a las areas sociales de la casa y con una vista a los campos de golf . We were surely stay here again the next time !!!! La casa invita a quedarse en ella y disfrutarla , la verdad supero ampliamente nuestras expectativas."

  • Amazing Views

"We researched for over two months, and fell in love with the view of the island online and then in person. The view from Villa Tiffany is the best on the island; I will treasure this memory for a lifetime. Tim and I had a wonderful trip to the island, enjoyed the beaches and sailing trip to Jost Van Dyke, with Calypso. We enjoyed the hot tub, and Tim the pool, a little too chilly for me. The road to the villa was not that bad using the Jeep Wrangler four door from O’Conner Jeep Rentals, was bumpy we were able to climb the road up without using the four wheel on several occasions. The only complaint is the water took a while to warm up. Truly enjoyed the outdoor shower we are now ready to build one! Thanks again to the owners for allowing us to stay at your villa. Ida & Tim"

  • The Reviews are accurate--great time at the Stonehouse!

"My family of 5 enjoyed 10 nights at The Stonehouse. Excluding the 3rd BR downstairs and around the back, the place is fantastic! Were met at the ferry by a very nice lady from the company that manages the property who helped us grab our provisions at Star Market in Cruz Bay (you can order online and have it waiting for you if you plan well) and took us on the 20-minute drive to Coral Bay. The first step through the LR and kitchen to the view was actually breathtaking. The rotunda is great--2 great wicker couches, a hammock and a DR table we used often. This home is near the top of the mountain so we opened the doors that separate the rotunda and the kitchen/LR and the breeze was great--didn't need A/C. When we did, the top 2 BR's had good, working AC's. Small snafu with the hot water but owner had a plumber there the next day--very responsive and didn't affect our trip at all as the cold water isn't too cold to shower with. The two main BR entrances are off the rotunda. The third BR below was not secured from the wildlife (geckos!)--my teens were taping some screen seems so the geckos wouldn't get it but after a few days they waved the white flag and moved upstairs to the 2nd BR. We kicked my son out and he slept on the provided Aerobed which was fine. As in an earlier post, some attention to a few small things would make this place perfect. Coral Bay location is great--we rented a jeep from Amalie Car Rental at STT (recommend) and took it to a new beach almost every day. We made lunch the night before and packed a backpack cooler with beer, soda and water and we were off. We cooked dinner half the nights and used the gas grill (great) and stovetop--all the tools and pots/pans you need are there. They provide you with cloth napkins--I suggest you get some paper ones. The pool is larger than it appears on the site, and we used it almost everyday post-beach. We lit a few mosquito repellent-type sticks(Murphy's Mosquito Sticks on Amazon--worked great) during Happy Hour in the rotunda, but we over-prepared for the bug situation. Good breezes kept the bugs at bay or we were there during a period of low activity. Didn't run into many bugs at the beaches either. If you're looking for a great 2BR in a quieter area, the Stonehouse is fantastic and we'd rebook it in a heartbeat. Took one star away (would have taken only a 1/2 star away but the site doesn't allow that) for the third BR, but highly recommend it."

  • Good trip

"Very clean condo and everything worked. Decor is outdated, but we were not in the condo that much anyway."

St. Barthelemy Travel Tips

Seasons to Travel to St. Barthelemy Vacation Rentals

St. Barthelemy is a small horseshoe-shaped island located near St. Maarten in the Caribbean. It is an independent French territory that once was part of Guadeloupe. The island is more often simply referred to as St. Barts or St. Barths. With its location in the Caribbean, it enjoys a year-round warm tropical climate. The summer months can get humid and most rainfall occurs during this time of year. Typically, the thunderstorms are intense and short-lived. The sunshine often returns afterward and visitors can enjoy clear skies. Occasional tropical storms can blow through during the late summer months. While it is a destination that is visited all year long, the most popular travel season tends to be between December and April. Many people travel from Europe and North America to escape from colder northern climates. At this time of year, it is also less humid and the days are still enjoyably warm.

VIP Visitors to St. Barthelemy Villas

St. Barths has over the years built a reputation for being one of the elite Caribbean vacation destinations. Perhaps it is because it is fairly remote and not particularly well known that it remains a favorite hideaway for European royalty and Hollywood celebrities. Even relatively early on in its history, the island developed a talent for creating commerce which turned it into a relatively wealthy island compared to many of its Caribbean neighbors. The resorts and vacation homes are exclusive and stylish with hefty price tags to match. If it is a remote and private vacation destination that you are looking for, then it's well worth it.

Top Attractions near St. Barthelemy Resort Rentals

Some of St. Barth's main attractions are its beautiful beaches. The island is volcanic in nature which has resulted in a number of secluded coves and quiet beaches. Never far away are superb restaurants and beach bars where you can enjoy some local cuisine. The island is a duty-free tax haven and offers some superb shopping facilities. The main streets are lined with glamorous and designer boutiques showing off all kinds of fashions and accessories. It is somewhere where you can spoil yourself with that pair of designer shoes you have been eying for a while. If you would like to enjoy the azure blue ocean, you can arrange a charter on one of the many luxury yachts moored in the harbor. Cruising around the coastline, you can drop anchor near one of the reefs and spend the day snorkeling and swimming.

Getting to Caribbean Vacation Rentals in St. Barthelemy

St. Barths has a small airport with a tarmac runway but can only accommodate smaller commercial aircraft. Larger commercial aircraft such as air buses cannot land on the island. For international travelers, you will first travel to the neighboring island of the Dutch-governed St. Maarten. From there, you can get a quick 10-minute shuttle flight across to St. Barths. There are several airlines operating shuttle flights, and charter companies are also available for private charter flights. As an alternative routing, you can also fly via Guadeloupe. The regional flight takes approximately 45 to 60 minutes, depending on which airline you choose. If charter flights are your preferred way of travel, you can look into routing via the islands of Antigua or San Juan on Puerto Rico. Once on the island, the easiest way to get around is by taxi. Car rentals and chauffeur-driven vehicles are also available. These can be arranged at the airport upon arrival or by contacting a local operator in advance.
