  • Feels like home

"My brother and I wanted something different for our annual trip back home. We wanted to feel at home while at home and that's exactly what we got! Everything was clean. The patio was very spacious, we spent a lot of time out there (I fell asleep a couple times out there :) ), and nothing beats a bottle Cruzan rum to greet you as you walk in. A lovely time, a lovely place. Can't wait to do it again!!"

  • Very relaxing, quiet, beautiful & comfortable .

"It’s been a long time since we have been in Grand Cayman, we were along 7 Mile Beach then. But we are older now and have a different way of vacationing. We fell in love with the quiet East End area of Gun Bay. Maria & Jack, you have provided us with a home away from home. I loved waking to the beautiful sunrises and having our coffee on the veranda, then watching the day turn into “another day in Paradise!” Windward Cove is a cozy, quiet, comfortable and beautiful setting we want to enjoy again. Hope to see you next year,"

  • We loved it!!!

"We just returned from a great week at the villa. It was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed. We could not have asked for more! The owners were very nice to work with and checked in on us to make sure our stay was going well. We also enjoyed the visits from Cookie (the dog). The pool was refreshing and an added bonus. This villa is conveniently located close to town and the markets. The woman that helped us at Low Key was very helpful with getting our snorkeling gear sized properly and it was a nice perk that it was included in our stay. We are definitely looking forward to returning to this villa!"

  • A Piece of Paradise

"Daniela's place is literally a slice of heaven that sits right on the ocean with your own private beach where we watched the beautiful sunrise every morning. The condo is gorgeous with bold, bright colors making you feel right at home in Jamaica. The online pictures are no comparison to getting a real taste of Daniela's hidden gem! It's cozy and has every amenity one could need or want. upon arrival we were greeted by Cathy and Charmaine, Daniela's wonderful housekeepers. They kept everything neat and clean and were helpful with everything from directions to excursions. Next, I was able to have fresh coconut water cut by Trevor, the groundskeeper. He shimmied right up the coconut tree right in front of me as I watched in amazement, cut the coconut from the tree and used his machete to chop away at the coconut and served it to me. You are minutes from Ocho Rios, Reggae Beach, Fisherman's Beach and Little Dunn River Falls with taxis just outside your door transportation is easy. Definitely stop at Margaretville at Fisherman's Beach- Karaoke night is an absolute must! But I spent most of my time on the porch relaxing with the view of the boats passing in the blue waters. I admit I did fall asleep in the hammock a few time while reading. Pure Bliss. Daniela also offers the use of 2 hammocks and 2 lawn chairs which separates her from the other units, which is not offered by the other units. Daniela's unit has so much more than you could ever want. I have to tell you now - Your search is over! Stop looking! I highly recommend Daniela's place. It's perfect for couples and families and with breathtaking views that you make you never want to say goodbye. Daniela, thank you for everything and sharing your piece of paradise with me. I am definitely starting a tradition and will be returning next year and many more! Blessed Love! Shea"

St. Barthelemy Travel Tips

Seasons to Travel to St. Barthelemy Vacation Rentals

St. Barthelemy is a small horseshoe-shaped island located near St. Maarten in the Caribbean. It is an independent French territory that once was part of Guadeloupe. The island is more often simply referred to as St. Barts or St. Barths. With its location in the Caribbean, it enjoys a year-round warm tropical climate. The summer months can get humid and most rainfall occurs during this time of year. Typically, the thunderstorms are intense and short-lived. The sunshine often returns afterward and visitors can enjoy clear skies. Occasional tropical storms can blow through during the late summer months. While it is a destination that is visited all year long, the most popular travel season tends to be between December and April. Many people travel from Europe and North America to escape from colder northern climates. At this time of year, it is also less humid and the days are still enjoyably warm.

VIP Visitors to St. Barthelemy Villas

St. Barths has over the years built a reputation for being one of the elite Caribbean vacation destinations. Perhaps it is because it is fairly remote and not particularly well known that it remains a favorite hideaway for European royalty and Hollywood celebrities. Even relatively early on in its history, the island developed a talent for creating commerce which turned it into a relatively wealthy island compared to many of its Caribbean neighbors. The resorts and vacation homes are exclusive and stylish with hefty price tags to match. If it is a remote and private vacation destination that you are looking for, then it's well worth it.

Top Attractions near St. Barthelemy Resort Rentals

Some of St. Barth's main attractions are its beautiful beaches. The island is volcanic in nature which has resulted in a number of secluded coves and quiet beaches. Never far away are superb restaurants and beach bars where you can enjoy some local cuisine. The island is a duty-free tax haven and offers some superb shopping facilities. The main streets are lined with glamorous and designer boutiques showing off all kinds of fashions and accessories. It is somewhere where you can spoil yourself with that pair of designer shoes you have been eying for a while. If you would like to enjoy the azure blue ocean, you can arrange a charter on one of the many luxury yachts moored in the harbor. Cruising around the coastline, you can drop anchor near one of the reefs and spend the day snorkeling and swimming.

Getting to Caribbean Vacation Rentals in St. Barthelemy

St. Barths has a small airport with a tarmac runway but can only accommodate smaller commercial aircraft. Larger commercial aircraft such as air buses cannot land on the island. For international travelers, you will first travel to the neighboring island of the Dutch-governed St. Maarten. From there, you can get a quick 10-minute shuttle flight across to St. Barths. There are several airlines operating shuttle flights, and charter companies are also available for private charter flights. As an alternative routing, you can also fly via Guadeloupe. The regional flight takes approximately 45 to 60 minutes, depending on which airline you choose. If charter flights are your preferred way of travel, you can look into routing via the islands of Antigua or San Juan on Puerto Rico. Once on the island, the easiest way to get around is by taxi. Car rentals and chauffeur-driven vehicles are also available. These can be arranged at the airport upon arrival or by contacting a local operator in advance.
