  • Sundancer Villa

"Once again, we were very happy with our stay at Sundancer.... as we have stayed there numerous times before! The Sundancer Villa is very well maintained, every time we come back there has been an update. The views are spectacular, the location is very private and it's only a short drive into Cruz Bay . Looking forward to our return in the near future."

  • Our Anniversary at a Tropical Paradise!

"Pelican House is the perfect tropical get away for all types of travelers! Whether you're a SCUBA diver, a water enthusiast, or just want to relax, Pelican House provides privacy while having several amenities nearby. We celebrated our 2nd anniversary here and loved the home and island. The open-air layout of the house, the spectacular view of Marigot Bay and the unique tram that drops you right at the front door, makes this house a must stay place in St. Lucia. Compared to other locations on the island, Marigot Bay is quiet with less activity. That's what we like! The diving was great and Scuba Steve picked us up at the local dock. No need to travel to them. The local food was delicious and everyone on the island was so polite, friendly and helpful. Take advantage of Smally, the taxi driver for a variety of tours, or rent a car and explore. Pelican House is everything that Jim and Gail said it was. We would recommend Pelican House to anyone visiting St. Lucia."

  • October Paradise

"This Ocean Villa is well located for walking anywhere you need to go, but renting a golfcart makes it easier to explore parts of Treasure Cay you might not see otherwise. Walking distance to Coco Bar, Tipsy Seagull, Marina, Golden Harvest, Bristol Liquors, etc. The kitchen is very well equipped and organized. The icemaker is a beast, once it gets going, it can really crank out the ice! Also the reverse osmosis water spigot saves on the purchase of jugs of water and bags of ice, and the villa has numerous ice trays for filling and freezing. We were there before restaurants re-opened from Storm Season, so we grilled out every night, enjoying cocktails on the patio and watching the sunset. We had the entire complex to ourselves! Well lighted at night, we felt very safe. There are 2 comfortable and spacious bedrooms, each with its own bath. Although the villa can sleep 6 with the pull out sofa in the living room, it is better suited for 2 couples or a family of 4. The living area/dining/kitchen would be a bit cramped With more than four. The sliding glass doors would not open for us, otherwise that would definitely have extended the living area. There was such a nice breeze, it was a shame not to take advantage of it. But the a/c works extremely well. This condo has it's own wifi and local telephone, which was an added bonus. The owner was always just an email away from my iPad. Laundry is available for $8.50 per basket steps away in the clubhouse. We left the basket by the door in the am and by the time we returned from fishing, it was clean and folded nicely for us. The pool is lovely and well maintained. The housekeeper was very attentive and friendly, calling periodically to check on things, helping with the location of whatever we couldn't find and information in general. We have been coming to Treasure Cay for many years for bonefishing, but you absolutely can't find a prettier sandy beach with crystal clear turquoise water. This villa has quick and easy access to that beach, with common outside hoses and shower for rinsing off. This was important to us for cleaning fly rods, boots, etc. every evening. This was perhaps the nicest visit we have had in years and plan to return to this villa. Nearly perfect."

  • Best Vacation Ever

"My apologies for taking so long to write this review but the delay is no reflection of our experience. I must admit that when looking at the pictures on VRBO I wondered if any of the pictures had been photo shopped. After all, could the view from the patio really be so beautiful and the ocean so close? Let me tell you that the pictures are 100% authentic. The unit was exactly as pictured and described. It had everything you could ask for. It was the perfect amount of space for my husband and I. Everyone we encountered at Sapphire Beach was so warm and friendly. I personally enjoyed the proximity of the condo to the Banana Cabana where I could get a Tropical Explosion cocktail every day. Even though the pool restaurant was closed for renovation, the pool is open. I loved to relax by the pool watching the boats go in and out of the marinas. It was also a wonderful place to watch the St John 4th of July fireworks. The actual beach at Sapphire is gorgeous too. We particularly enjoyed the trees so we could get out of the sun. My husband did lots of snorkeling in the area right in front of the unit. Red Hook is a 5 minute drive away. Lots of great restaurants and shops there. We had a great time at the Tree Limin Zipline on St Thomas. I was a bit concerned since we are generally a couple of couch potatoes but it was a great experience. The guides are lots of fun but also very safety conscious. We also took the car ferry over to St John for a day. More beautiful beaches, yummy food and shopping. This was our third trip to St Thomas but previously we had stayed at Secret Harbor. I have nothing negative to say about SH but we have already decided that we will stay at this same unit at Sapphire Beach during our next trip. Chuy was always quick to respond to emails before, during and after our vacation. I especially want to thank him for being so gracious when we had to reschedule our trip at the last minute due to a medical emergency."

St. Barthelemy Travel Tips

Seasons to Travel to St. Barthelemy Vacation Rentals

St. Barthelemy is a small horseshoe-shaped island located near St. Maarten in the Caribbean. It is an independent French territory that once was part of Guadeloupe. The island is more often simply referred to as St. Barts or St. Barths. With its location in the Caribbean, it enjoys a year-round warm tropical climate. The summer months can get humid and most rainfall occurs during this time of year. Typically, the thunderstorms are intense and short-lived. The sunshine often returns afterward and visitors can enjoy clear skies. Occasional tropical storms can blow through during the late summer months. While it is a destination that is visited all year long, the most popular travel season tends to be between December and April. Many people travel from Europe and North America to escape from colder northern climates. At this time of year, it is also less humid and the days are still enjoyably warm.

VIP Visitors to St. Barthelemy Villas

St. Barths has over the years built a reputation for being one of the elite Caribbean vacation destinations. Perhaps it is because it is fairly remote and not particularly well known that it remains a favorite hideaway for European royalty and Hollywood celebrities. Even relatively early on in its history, the island developed a talent for creating commerce which turned it into a relatively wealthy island compared to many of its Caribbean neighbors. The resorts and vacation homes are exclusive and stylish with hefty price tags to match. If it is a remote and private vacation destination that you are looking for, then it's well worth it.

Top Attractions near St. Barthelemy Resort Rentals

Some of St. Barth's main attractions are its beautiful beaches. The island is volcanic in nature which has resulted in a number of secluded coves and quiet beaches. Never far away are superb restaurants and beach bars where you can enjoy some local cuisine. The island is a duty-free tax haven and offers some superb shopping facilities. The main streets are lined with glamorous and designer boutiques showing off all kinds of fashions and accessories. It is somewhere where you can spoil yourself with that pair of designer shoes you have been eying for a while. If you would like to enjoy the azure blue ocean, you can arrange a charter on one of the many luxury yachts moored in the harbor. Cruising around the coastline, you can drop anchor near one of the reefs and spend the day snorkeling and swimming.

Getting to Caribbean Vacation Rentals in St. Barthelemy

St. Barths has a small airport with a tarmac runway but can only accommodate smaller commercial aircraft. Larger commercial aircraft such as air buses cannot land on the island. For international travelers, you will first travel to the neighboring island of the Dutch-governed St. Maarten. From there, you can get a quick 10-minute shuttle flight across to St. Barths. There are several airlines operating shuttle flights, and charter companies are also available for private charter flights. As an alternative routing, you can also fly via Guadeloupe. The regional flight takes approximately 45 to 60 minutes, depending on which airline you choose. If charter flights are your preferred way of travel, you can look into routing via the islands of Antigua or San Juan on Puerto Rico. Once on the island, the easiest way to get around is by taxi. Car rentals and chauffeur-driven vehicles are also available. These can be arranged at the airport upon arrival or by contacting a local operator in advance.
