  • Amazing time

"We arrived at the sunrise beach villas on Christmas Day and was satisfied until we left New Years eve! The place was clean and the owner was always available if needed! We had a small issue with the air conditioning system and within 20 minutes the owner contacted someone to fix it. He was very easy to reach day or night! The front desk ladies were absolutly wonderful just ask them anything you need they will help you or suggest other options! Loved Carla!"

  • Enchanting & Inviting

"We were so very pleased with LaVanda Cottage. It was unbelievably charming and more importantly, extremely well maintained and clean! Everything was in excellent condition. It is much larger than depicted and the wrap around porch was perfect. I was going to describe in detail what to expect, but the previous writer from New England said it perfectly! No need to reiterate. I will mention that this cottage is nestled in back of and to the side of Villa Bellamare and in front of Villa Mimosa. Because of the beautifully lush landscaped grounds, you have total privacy. The other two properties look beautiful as well. Each and every staff member, from Trenton, Charlene and lovely Yvette, were delightful. Of note, there is no sign to help you locate the cottage, but it is next door to Serenity cottages. We had stayed in the Roads Bay area for five days and then we moved to La Vanda. Our only mistake was not staying at La Vanda the entire time. This is the only island we have returned to more than once and we are already talking about returning as the people are so warm and inviting. This is not something you encounter in some of the other Caribbean Islands. Thank you Mary Ann for a memorable stay!"

  • This property is beautiful and as advertised.

"We had two families staying at this property. It was perfect! The teenagers stayed on the beautiful second floor using the pullout couches while the rest of the families split up the remaining bedrooms on the first and third floors. The house had every amenity and was wi fi equipped. The combo of the pool and beach was ideal for our group. The kids made full use of both and Leon had a stash of beach and pool toys. Very few people on the beach. Snorkeling was best at the other end of the beach but we had some fish to enjoy right off our end of the beach. Very well equipped kitchens but we mainly used the second floor kitchen for family meals. For a change of pace, we occasionally made the very short walk down the beach to Compass Point Resort for lunch or dinner. The house was spotless and very well maintained. We wanted to be away from the hustle of downtown Nassau but, if you go, give yourself at least 45 minutes to get downtown and find parking. Leon was very easy to work with and we would highly recommend this property."

St. Barthelemy Travel Tips

Seasons to Travel to St. Barthelemy Vacation Rentals

St. Barthelemy is a small horseshoe-shaped island located near St. Maarten in the Caribbean. It is an independent French territory that once was part of Guadeloupe. The island is more often simply referred to as St. Barts or St. Barths. With its location in the Caribbean, it enjoys a year-round warm tropical climate. The summer months can get humid and most rainfall occurs during this time of year. Typically, the thunderstorms are intense and short-lived. The sunshine often returns afterward and visitors can enjoy clear skies. Occasional tropical storms can blow through during the late summer months. While it is a destination that is visited all year long, the most popular travel season tends to be between December and April. Many people travel from Europe and North America to escape from colder northern climates. At this time of year, it is also less humid and the days are still enjoyably warm.

VIP Visitors to St. Barthelemy Villas

St. Barths has over the years built a reputation for being one of the elite Caribbean vacation destinations. Perhaps it is because it is fairly remote and not particularly well known that it remains a favorite hideaway for European royalty and Hollywood celebrities. Even relatively early on in its history, the island developed a talent for creating commerce which turned it into a relatively wealthy island compared to many of its Caribbean neighbors. The resorts and vacation homes are exclusive and stylish with hefty price tags to match. If it is a remote and private vacation destination that you are looking for, then it's well worth it.

Top Attractions near St. Barthelemy Resort Rentals

Some of St. Barth's main attractions are its beautiful beaches. The island is volcanic in nature which has resulted in a number of secluded coves and quiet beaches. Never far away are superb restaurants and beach bars where you can enjoy some local cuisine. The island is a duty-free tax haven and offers some superb shopping facilities. The main streets are lined with glamorous and designer boutiques showing off all kinds of fashions and accessories. It is somewhere where you can spoil yourself with that pair of designer shoes you have been eying for a while. If you would like to enjoy the azure blue ocean, you can arrange a charter on one of the many luxury yachts moored in the harbor. Cruising around the coastline, you can drop anchor near one of the reefs and spend the day snorkeling and swimming.

Getting to Caribbean Vacation Rentals in St. Barthelemy

St. Barths has a small airport with a tarmac runway but can only accommodate smaller commercial aircraft. Larger commercial aircraft such as air buses cannot land on the island. For international travelers, you will first travel to the neighboring island of the Dutch-governed St. Maarten. From there, you can get a quick 10-minute shuttle flight across to St. Barths. There are several airlines operating shuttle flights, and charter companies are also available for private charter flights. As an alternative routing, you can also fly via Guadeloupe. The regional flight takes approximately 45 to 60 minutes, depending on which airline you choose. If charter flights are your preferred way of travel, you can look into routing via the islands of Antigua or San Juan on Puerto Rico. Once on the island, the easiest way to get around is by taxi. Car rentals and chauffeur-driven vehicles are also available. These can be arranged at the airport upon arrival or by contacting a local operator in advance.
