  • Excellent Villa, great view!

"Carolyn was extremely accomadating...my party had a great time here! The villa is comfertable and clean. The property is a little out the way and the hills are insane. YOU MUST GET A FOUR WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLE! We traded in our Ford Focus after the first day for a Jeep, big difference, especially in the rain. I would definitely come back."

  • Just like home

"This is my second stay at the property. Like the first everything went without a hitch and the maintenance and quality of the property hasn't suffered at all. Misha is a total class act in making sure everything goes without a hitch and is proefficient in replying to any emails or concerns at any time. The guards do a fab job of making sure everything is safe and are always prompt; even at times beating you to the door. The location of this place is unquestionable. It's literally on the beach, and 5 minute walk to anything. It's easy to explain to any moto concho or taxi drivers, and it's on a well lit piece of road with no critters hanging around. Inside is everything you could possibly need. The beds are of high quality, ample towels, the place cools down insanely fast and stays cool even just with the fans. The wifi works great, and the kitchen and living area are ample. All the guests/occupants of the other units were friendly. It's a quiet building, but the units seem to do well on a noise level as you don't hear anything from anyone or any passing cars. Compared to hotels it's a no brainer especially if you enjoy some independence or plan on spending some time."

  • Great Family Vacation

"Highly recommend this place. Well maintained, Vern is very easy to work with. Easy access to either Cabarete to Sosua. While a vehicle is not necessary, it certainly makes it easier to get around. Watching th elites each night was incredible!"

  • Nice location, clean and quiet

"My wife and I stayed at the condo for 5 nights in March and really enjoyed it. The condo is clean, has a nice kitchen with all the necessities to prepare most meals, large video library to wind down in the evenings and is centrally loacted. The beach at the condo is ok for a quick swim and to get a little sun, but is not large and has some rock outcroppings but if you enjoy lounging on the beach for hours you should drive to one of the many larger beaches in the area. We like to get out and tour and the condo was very central to and has easy access to the main roads which we took full advantage of. There is a supermarket nearby which we frequented often. We particularly liked the ground floor and could walk out the back dor to the beach/pool/tennis courts etc easily. The little outdoor patio was nice to enjoy a morning coffee and listen to the waves and birds. If you are looking for a nice private condo that is centrally located, this is the one."

St. Barthelemy Travel Tips

Seasons to Travel to St. Barthelemy Vacation Rentals

St. Barthelemy is a small horseshoe-shaped island located near St. Maarten in the Caribbean. It is an independent French territory that once was part of Guadeloupe. The island is more often simply referred to as St. Barts or St. Barths. With its location in the Caribbean, it enjoys a year-round warm tropical climate. The summer months can get humid and most rainfall occurs during this time of year. Typically, the thunderstorms are intense and short-lived. The sunshine often returns afterward and visitors can enjoy clear skies. Occasional tropical storms can blow through during the late summer months. While it is a destination that is visited all year long, the most popular travel season tends to be between December and April. Many people travel from Europe and North America to escape from colder northern climates. At this time of year, it is also less humid and the days are still enjoyably warm.

VIP Visitors to St. Barthelemy Villas

St. Barths has over the years built a reputation for being one of the elite Caribbean vacation destinations. Perhaps it is because it is fairly remote and not particularly well known that it remains a favorite hideaway for European royalty and Hollywood celebrities. Even relatively early on in its history, the island developed a talent for creating commerce which turned it into a relatively wealthy island compared to many of its Caribbean neighbors. The resorts and vacation homes are exclusive and stylish with hefty price tags to match. If it is a remote and private vacation destination that you are looking for, then it's well worth it.

Top Attractions near St. Barthelemy Resort Rentals

Some of St. Barth's main attractions are its beautiful beaches. The island is volcanic in nature which has resulted in a number of secluded coves and quiet beaches. Never far away are superb restaurants and beach bars where you can enjoy some local cuisine. The island is a duty-free tax haven and offers some superb shopping facilities. The main streets are lined with glamorous and designer boutiques showing off all kinds of fashions and accessories. It is somewhere where you can spoil yourself with that pair of designer shoes you have been eying for a while. If you would like to enjoy the azure blue ocean, you can arrange a charter on one of the many luxury yachts moored in the harbor. Cruising around the coastline, you can drop anchor near one of the reefs and spend the day snorkeling and swimming.

Getting to Caribbean Vacation Rentals in St. Barthelemy

St. Barths has a small airport with a tarmac runway but can only accommodate smaller commercial aircraft. Larger commercial aircraft such as air buses cannot land on the island. For international travelers, you will first travel to the neighboring island of the Dutch-governed St. Maarten. From there, you can get a quick 10-minute shuttle flight across to St. Barths. There are several airlines operating shuttle flights, and charter companies are also available for private charter flights. As an alternative routing, you can also fly via Guadeloupe. The regional flight takes approximately 45 to 60 minutes, depending on which airline you choose. If charter flights are your preferred way of travel, you can look into routing via the islands of Antigua or San Juan on Puerto Rico. Once on the island, the easiest way to get around is by taxi. Car rentals and chauffeur-driven vehicles are also available. These can be arranged at the airport upon arrival or by contacting a local operator in advance.
