  • Amazing & Relaxing Beach House

"We just returned home from the most amazing week at Windrose. With a large group of 12, we never felt on top of each other between the two houses, the great deck and your own beach within 20 feet! It is easy to get to from the airport, a quick 5 minute walk down the beach from several resorts and restaurants to eat and drink at, or several excursions will pick you up right on the beach. You can also take a quick 5 minute cab ride into town, rent bikes, and then bike from the house to town in about 10 minutes to shops and the market for the rest of your stay. We had one very small issue while we were there, but Basia and her team took care of it immediately, while we continued on with our day. The cleaning staff is a nice touch in the middle of the week as well."

  • Great location, clean with all you need.

"My buddy and I spent a week fishing for bonefish. The fishing was great in front of the house and in Cherokee Sound. Glenn rented us his aluminum boat, which got us to all the fishing spots we needed. The house was very comfortable, clean and well-equipped. I would recommend it and will be back again."

  • Idyllic Beach away from the Madding Crowds

"The Heritage Club was perfect for our family (with teenagers) holiday. As a first time to the Cayman's we wanted to hit the main tourist spots, dive, snorkel and just relax. This condo provided exceptional access to all of this and more. Unit 19 is very comfortable and well maintained. It has a very well appointed kitchen to allow meals to be prepared in or take a short drive to some excellent restaurants. The screened balcony is brilliant for sitting out in the evening with a light on to read or visit. it also works great for the few minutes at sunrise and sunset a few bugs come out. The complex is a perfect size to allow for creature comforts and still be small enough to strike up conversations with visitors and owners alike. The units and grounds are perfectly maintained thanks to the resident manager and his fantastic staff. You feel guilty walking on the freshly raked beach or use the sparkling clean BBQ. You may get the occasional person walking past from another complex nearby otherwise the beach is virtually yours to enjoy. The complex may not be for a young family who wants to run and scream all day at the pool or around the grounds, but if they are well behaved and just having fun like two young families that where there at the same time as us, you will be well accepted. The beach is perfect just as the pictures show. The dive company we dove with had a private dock 3-5 minutes to the north and the dive sites on seven mile beach are only minutes away. The Heritage Club and the Cayman's alike get very high reviews from all of our family. We hope to return soon."

  • Really enjoyed the Island and found it to be very clean and safe.

"Catch-A-Wave was very clean and offers everything you need from kitchen equipment, beach chairs, beach towels, pool, very large porch, internet and much more. We only used the king sized bed and found it to be comfortable. The owner was very helpful in arranging the rental for the golf cart as well as answering any other questions we had. The house is close to Tahiti Beach which we highly recommend. The deck offers plenty of seating for shade or sun. The views are wonderful although there is a house that is fairly close to the back of Catch-A-Wave when you are sitting on the deck. We did not find it a problem for us as no one was ever there. The grocery store that is close to the house seemed to offer as much as any other store on the island. We agree with what others said that the house is decorated very nice and is very comfortable. We found the owner and caretaker very helpful and easy to deal with and had a wonderful time!"

St. Barthelemy Travel Tips

Seasons to Travel to St. Barthelemy Vacation Rentals

St. Barthelemy is a small horseshoe-shaped island located near St. Maarten in the Caribbean. It is an independent French territory that once was part of Guadeloupe. The island is more often simply referred to as St. Barts or St. Barths. With its location in the Caribbean, it enjoys a year-round warm tropical climate. The summer months can get humid and most rainfall occurs during this time of year. Typically, the thunderstorms are intense and short-lived. The sunshine often returns afterward and visitors can enjoy clear skies. Occasional tropical storms can blow through during the late summer months. While it is a destination that is visited all year long, the most popular travel season tends to be between December and April. Many people travel from Europe and North America to escape from colder northern climates. At this time of year, it is also less humid and the days are still enjoyably warm.

VIP Visitors to St. Barthelemy Villas

St. Barths has over the years built a reputation for being one of the elite Caribbean vacation destinations. Perhaps it is because it is fairly remote and not particularly well known that it remains a favorite hideaway for European royalty and Hollywood celebrities. Even relatively early on in its history, the island developed a talent for creating commerce which turned it into a relatively wealthy island compared to many of its Caribbean neighbors. The resorts and vacation homes are exclusive and stylish with hefty price tags to match. If it is a remote and private vacation destination that you are looking for, then it's well worth it.

Top Attractions near St. Barthelemy Resort Rentals

Some of St. Barth's main attractions are its beautiful beaches. The island is volcanic in nature which has resulted in a number of secluded coves and quiet beaches. Never far away are superb restaurants and beach bars where you can enjoy some local cuisine. The island is a duty-free tax haven and offers some superb shopping facilities. The main streets are lined with glamorous and designer boutiques showing off all kinds of fashions and accessories. It is somewhere where you can spoil yourself with that pair of designer shoes you have been eying for a while. If you would like to enjoy the azure blue ocean, you can arrange a charter on one of the many luxury yachts moored in the harbor. Cruising around the coastline, you can drop anchor near one of the reefs and spend the day snorkeling and swimming.

Getting to Caribbean Vacation Rentals in St. Barthelemy

St. Barths has a small airport with a tarmac runway but can only accommodate smaller commercial aircraft. Larger commercial aircraft such as air buses cannot land on the island. For international travelers, you will first travel to the neighboring island of the Dutch-governed St. Maarten. From there, you can get a quick 10-minute shuttle flight across to St. Barths. There are several airlines operating shuttle flights, and charter companies are also available for private charter flights. As an alternative routing, you can also fly via Guadeloupe. The regional flight takes approximately 45 to 60 minutes, depending on which airline you choose. If charter flights are your preferred way of travel, you can look into routing via the islands of Antigua or San Juan on Puerto Rico. Once on the island, the easiest way to get around is by taxi. Car rentals and chauffeur-driven vehicles are also available. These can be arranged at the airport upon arrival or by contacting a local operator in advance.
