  • Spring Break at Villa Mo

"Our family recently spent an incredible week at Villa Mo over Spring Break. The house was spacious, comfortable and breezy and the beach access was perfect. The beach is beautiful and private so there are not many reasons to leave the property. The small pool was perfect for the kids. Monica was wonderful, warm and hospitable. She is discrete but was always available if we needed her or had any questions. She was resourceful and helped us plan our activities, transportation and restaurants reservations. She made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. Yanni, who helps around the house during the day and prepares the food is great. The rooms were always promptly done up in the morning and the food was well prepared, delicious and ready on time. The town of Las Terrenas is less than 10mins away by car and easy to access. We look forward to many more vacations at Villa Mo!"

  • Great location and very private

"Wow! What a great place away from the hustle and bustle of Philipsburg with amazing views of Oyster Pond. Very separate and private 4 bedrooms with 4 baths was great for our party of 9. I was a attending a conference at the Westin (just down the street) where one room was $300+/night (our friends staying at the hotel were jealous!) The house is very updated with a NICE kitchen that is well-stocked. We spent most of our time on the picturesque patio and infinity pool area lounging and having pool-side drinks. 1 minute drive to the nearest beach and beach bars and restaurants on both the French and Dutch sides of Oyster pond. 20 minutes drive to Philipsburg (touristy) and 20 minutes north to the beautiful Orient Beach on the French side (go here!). Stop and get groceries and liquor at the Le Gran Marche (10-15 minute drive). Katie was great to work with; she will help organize rental cars, and Rhonda (on-site) will help with little details, housekeeping, and recommendations. They do provide a cell phone to use to make local reservations, etc. Overall, spectacular villa and a great value! No complaints!"

  • Perfect location!

"My adult kids and I stayed at Ixora recently and it was our second stay at this home. We love its location as you can get to virtually every area of the island, especially the great beaches, very easily. The home had every amenity we needed and on those nights when we weren't dining out it was so enjoyable to grill out and enjoy the spectacular view. Using the hot tub while stargazing was an added plus. With the views and the plentiful space it was always a pleasure to both get ready to head out for each days' adventure and then return home to clean up to either go out or simply stay in. Jim, the property manager, met us at our jeep rental place and led us to the home. He pointed out the things we needed to know and offered to help in any way. Sure enough, a few minor things were needed a couple days later and, true to his word, Jim attended to them that same day while we were out. I'd happily recommend Ixora - but just don't reserve it for when I next intend on reserving it! AR"

  • Awesome condo

"This place was so homey that we felt like we lived there within minutes of arriving. We spent a lot of time just relaxing in lanai with coffee in the AM or drinks as the day went on. View was amazing. Sun set directly in front of us. Great view of cruise ships coming in & out of Georgetown. Also spent a lot of time in the ocean....a few steps away or in the pool....also a few steps away. Great place for long beach walks. Had dinner outside a few evenings after grilling fish or burgers on the Weber grill. If not outside to eat, we were in lanai. Condo had everything you might need including games etc. Coconut Joe's is directly across the road if you want a quick meal closely. Breakfast was great there as well. Lots of other restaurants close by. Would happily spend another week in this little piece of paradise."

St. Kitts & Nevis Travel Tips

Getting to St. Kitts and Nevis Vacation Rentals

The primary airport for St. Kitts and Nevis is the Robert Llewellyn Bradshaw International Airport that is located on the island of St. Kitts. The airport has the facilities to accommodate commercial jumbo jets that operate on long-haul flights. There are regular commercial flights from major European cities such as Amsterdam and Paris. There are also frequent flights from Miami and New York City among other North America destinations. There is only a smaller regional airport on Nevis and most flights route via St. Kitts. Charter and scheduled flights operate daily on smaller aircraft between the two islands. There are also water taxis and ferries that operate on regular daily schedules, weather permitting.

As an alternative routing to get to Nevis, you may also consider routing via St. Maarten or Antigua. Both these destinations have regular flights on to Nevis as well as ferries that operate between the islands on a regular basis. Once on the islands, it is relatively easy to get around. Taxis provide transport to and from the airport and your vacation destination. Car rental is widely available and easy to organize. If you want to do some independent exploring, this will be your best transport option.

Visitors to St. Kitts and Nevis Villas

St. Kitts and Nevis are two islands that attract nature lovers and those who appreciate natural surroundings. The islands have a wealth of cultural attractions for those who enjoy local arts and crafts, and bargaining for souvenirs at the local markets and small shops. The beaches with their beautiful sands are favorite places to laze and catch a suntan. Sun lovers can enjoy their own private share of paradise.

Things to See and Do at St. Kitts and Nevis Resort Rentals

The islands of St. Kitts and Nevis are favored with consistent sea breezes as well as the northeasterly trade winds. This makes it a popular sailing destination in the Caribbean. Both islands have many beautiful beaches. Some are secluded coves where you can enjoy a private picnic. Others are lined with beach bars and restaurants, providing refreshments and entertainment.

St. Kitts and Nevis have interesting histories as they were discovered by Christopher Columbus in 1493. It is reported that he sailed past the island but did not land. More than a century later, a group of British settlers decided to make the island their new home. Ruins of fortified walls from these early settlements can still be seen on the islands today. There are several museums which detail the interesting history but perhaps the best way to experience the culture is to meander down the streets seeking out the old colonial buildings, shop at the local markets, and explore the landscapes on horseback. For the more energetic, you can go mountain biking through the interior. There are also several hiking routes and nature trails you can explore.

Best Season to Visit Caribbean Vacation Rentals in St. Kitts and Nevis

In any given month, you can enjoy warm temperatures on St. Kitts and Nevis. The islands enjoy a warm tropical climate with rain that occurs throughout the year. Rain showers are generally brief and blow over quickly. The exception is during hurricane season when tropical storms bring strong winds and heavy rain that can last for several days. Tropical storms can occur any time between June and November and seem to occur most frequently in August. Humidity is relatively low compared to other Caribbean islands which makes it a more ideal vacation destination. Aside from the stormy season, it is a destination that can be visited all year-round. In general, the popular time of year for tourists is between December and March.
