"No words can describe the unique magnificence that IS this place to stay in St. Lucia...my family arrived with jaws dropped as they walked up the pristine steps into our sanctuary for my wedding week with only the view of the Piton Mountains slightly taking away their attention from the gorgeous sparkling tiled pool in the foreground. The detail and design of this place can not be fully expressed in pictures, although our pictures were praised by many back home! The rooms are out of this world comfortable and extravagant at the same time. We felt like we were living as royalty for a few days, with the awesome staff (including three chefs!) helping with anything and everything. My family happens to be vegan, and they had NO problem creating the BEST meals, all made with fresh fruits and vegetables native to St. Lucia yet not neglecting the protein to give us strength for the hiking, beach visits, snorkeling, diving, and mud bath excursions that were within minutes from our awesome residence for the week. There are not enough wonderful things to say about our security guard Albert, our driver James, and our head Chef Marilyn, all who felt like part of our family by the time our stay was over. Even the owner of the house checked in with us and helped set up our sailing trip, gave us tips, told us the best places to sightsee and restaurants to try...from the first conversation with him I knew we were in good hands. This place was better than we could have imagined, even on the last day we were soaking in the beauty and taking our 5000th picture to try and capture enough to take back home and remember "this best trip of our lives"! I HIGHLY recommend staying at Caille Blanc if you want a smooth, safe, unforgettable, and absolutely stunning experience in St. Lucia!"

"We just returned from a 10 day paradise vacation. Pelican House is the perfect tropical place to stay. The setting is one of the most beautiful places we have ever been. The people are friendly, food is great but the best is the location of Pelican House. It sits on the side of a hill overlooking the gorgeous Marigot Bay with a small beautiful beach. Pelican House is perfect as the outdoor living space allows a spectacular view of the area and the sun rises are absolutely wonderful on the deck with a glass of wine. You can just relax or experience the island your choice. Always something to do if you want. Would definitely return, we have been visiting Pelican House for over 10 years now."

"Brigand Hill is a wonderful place to stay on this spectacular island. Centrally located on the west coast, the villa provides easy access to a variety of activities all over the island for half or full day trips. It's simple beauty & structure, & impeccably maintained grounds reflect the island itself. It's just enough without being too much. For those who really want to feel immersed in the St. Lucian terrain/climate, it's the perfect place to make your home base. Sitting on a hill above the Anse Galet valley, the villa has surreal views of the rugged topography while providing a glimpse of the Caribbean Sea to its west. The bedroom upstairs in the main building has screened shutters, allowing the constant tradewinds to create a cool & airy environment while you sleep at night or nap during the day. When there's a rainstorm, you can hear it approaching as it comes down the valley & descends upon the house. If you're lucky enough to be sleeping when this happens, this room couldn't be a better place to be. At night, you'll hear the sounds of the rainforest take over, & it's like falling asleep on a perfect summer night. Add a bag of ice to the grocery list so you don't run out using the blender :)
George, the caretaker, is extremely knowledgeable on anything/everything St. Lucia-related. Happy to answer all your questions to guide you in the right direction when making plans, he'll even accompany you on an excursion! He came with us on our Gros Piton hike & barely even broke a sweat! A jack of all trades, he's eager to share his passion for the island. Vera is a love & happily and graciously keeps the house in order during your stay so you don't have to. I'm pretty particular about other people doing my laundry, but she took scrupulous care of my clothes. She even had flowers on the bedspread upstairs upon our arrival - so romantic. Bertilla is a super sweet, talented cook & prepared some really great meals for us. She'll make you anything but I suggest you request some local dishes like christophene casserole, chicken curry, rice & beans, or pumpkin soup - all delish! She set a lovely table every night outside by the pool, specially folded napkins included. This crew left no detail unnoticed and their hard work revealed itself in my experience at the villa. They added elements of ease and welcoming grace to the trip which made the island as a whole even more special. I can't wait to go back to St. Lucia, and I'll definitely be staying at Brigand Hill."

"We just returned from Les Chaudieres - and it was everything we hoped for and more. Our goal was to really get to know (with our three children) a new country. And Les Chaudieres was perfect. The staff made us feel at home. All reviews rave about the food/cooking - and they should. Christy, the property manager and chef, is an absolutely amazing cook who will go out of her way to delight your palate. Yes, the groceries are more expensive on the island than in the states - but they are much cheeper and better quality than eating out. This is not a resort - it is a family home - one with a rich tradition and history that you will feel when you arrive. It is "campy" - in the sense that it feels like a good friend's personal retreat / lake house. Not fancy - but comfy. If you are squeamish about an occasional bug, frog, bat or lizard - this may not be your place as it is very open air and nature will visit from time to time. Many reviewers had no problems with the bugs - we were not so lucky as the breeze died down while we were there - so we recommend taking plenty of the strongest bug spray you can find. But they did not take away from the overall experience. Other recommendations: get to know the staff; they are wonderful people and will give you a much deeper appreciation of St. Lucia and Les Chaudieres. Take a boat cruise early on your trip; Christy can arrange this for you and it will give you a great overview of spots to revisit. Do the zip line adventure in Dennery - and take your camera with you. Enjoy as much time as possible in the hammock under the old almond tree drinking a Durham standard or a rum punch. And get to know as many St. Lucians as you can; we enjoyed them all!"
