  • Great value and location!

"This is a great rental for those who prefer to live like the locals, and not at a resort. The supermarket is just a 5 min bus ride or car drive away in Rodney Bay, and there's also the gas station & convenience store at the entrance to Cas en Bas Road (about a 15 min walk). The accommodations are clean and comfortable, and it was great to have a washing machine. It is located in a quiet residential area, so a rental car is recommended. We did fairly well however on foot and relying on transportation provided by our excursion / tour operators. We rented a car for one day to visit the markets at Castries and to have dinner at Marjorie's Beach Bar (a hidden gem of a restaurant!). Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at Cas en Bas. Karen and Jerome were very accommodating and we would highly recommend this rental property. Graham & Michele"

  • Absolutely stunning!

"I have looked so forward to writing this review of La Batterie Villa. My only concern is that others will discover this jewel, and we won't be able to rent it in the future! From beginning to end, Michael Keane was an incredibly approachable, affable, and gracious host. The house itself is fantastic, and just what one would expect of an island getaway. Open and breezy, comfortable and darling, I can't say enough about the accommodations. And the staff!! They are all perfect examples of the St. Lucian people. We were made to feel right at home, welcome and every little thing we asked for, was answered and more. Miss Cynthia's cooking was great and much appreciated; Miss Marilyn and Miss Stephanie bright and shiny; Terry the gardener roasted fresh coffee beans for our mornings and brought us many different local spices to bring home; and BK the night watchman made us feel safe and secure every single night. And Clavie, well, he is beyond wonderful. Wherever, whenever, we wanted to go somewhere, he was right there. The beach at Anse Chastanet was our favorite spot with the "huts" on the beach, yummy food and cold drinks and wait staff that we got to know and vice versa. We have traveled all over the Carribean and used VRBO all over the world and U.S. Never, have we had this kind of positive experience. Don't hesitate to rent La Batterie if you ever get the chance to go to St. Lucia. I promise you, you will come home and begin planning your next trip there. Because, when you leave, you will have left a part of your heart there. Thank you Michael and Jennifer for sharing your retreat with others. It's a trip we will never forget."

  • So Beautiful

"This was our first visit to Les Chaudieres. We had an amazing time, the location and staff surpassed our expectations. Our arrival was delayed by a day due to weather in Halifax so arriving at this paradise after 24+ long hours of travel was a dream come true. The view is breath taking and photos do not do it justice. Our group was 8 adults (ages 25-29) and Jeff and staff were very accommodating by arranging for 2 of us to sleep on the pull out couch in the main room with a mosquito net. This worked really well for our group. The villa was super private. The beach was also very private with other people down on it only one day (on the good friday holiday). Snorkelling was amazing at the beach. The climb back up from the beach definitely earns you a dip in the pool, we found it especially tough the day after our hike up Gros Piton haha. We did a few day trips out from the villa (Gros Piton hike, Marigot Bay for dinner, Pigeon Island, Castries Market) but loved just hanging out at the villa so much that we moved some of our activities around to maximize villa chill time. The pool was also great, we loved being able to use it whenever we wanted. Also there were very few bugs! We were expecting to have to deal with many more bugs than we did. All the beds had bug nets but we all agreed we didnt think we even needed them. The staff was great! Organizing meals with Christy was very simple, she's got it down to a science. Not having to worry at all about cooking or cleaning was AMAZING! Paul was also great and helped us find our way to the Gros Piton hike as well as being around the villa for little things we needed. Paul lives in the basement of the house but because of the way the house is built you don't even notice there is a basement, making the main villa still feel very private. Our group all agreed that we think this was one of the most beautiful spots we have ever stayed. We would recommend it to everyone! St. Lucia as an island is also breath taking. We hope to return!"

  • Exactly What We Needed!!!!

"After probably the most stressful week of my life (losing my mother), we flew from Texas to absolute paradise and were welcomed by the most amazing and accommodating staff in the universe!!! We cannot say enough about the staff and their friendliness and warmness! Albert teaching us cool card and dice games, Curtis teaching us about the island, the girls in the kitchen teaching my chef of a husband all about the culinary treasures Saint Lucia has to offer. The food was out of this world!! James was so prompt and accommodating taking Brian to places he didn't even want to go but getting us there without a word!!! The pictures of your home were everything they represented...fabulous!!! We had to be dragged out of there after our 7 days of pure heaven!!! It was a magical time to spend with our two daughters and son in laws with no distractions from our beautiful (but sometimes rowdy) 5 grandchildren we left in Texas...a true, blessed, relaxing vacation for us all. Watching the ships below us and eating the fabulous meals while the sun was setting (or rising) was heaven. We will back someday...yes, someday!!!!!"
