Wonderful view. Unique setting high on the hills with view of the Pitons
"As advertised, the view of the Pitons and the ocean are wonderful. Sit and watch hummingbirds, grey tremblers, etc work the trees and flowers. At night, watch the sun set and the "glowing" click beetles come out. For first time visitors to St. Lucia, note that all walking involves some very steep roads/paths. Anse Chastanet is close by, but it is a hard walk; rent a car to get around and make trips to the waterfalls, town and other nearby attractions. Do not be put off by needing to use a vehicle; Anse Chastenet and Sugar Beach resorts provide on-site shuttles for their guests due to the steepness of the roads/paths.
La Bagatelle is a well-maintained villa. Kitchen is dated, but everything works. Beds are very comfortable. Pool is nice. Note: there is no air-conditioning. Not a problem for us, there are ceiling fans and trade winds. We are not accustomed to having a housekeeper on-site from 9 am till 3 pm. The housekeeper was not intrusive, but it made us feel awkward to be sitting around as someone did chores in the villa."

"No words can describe the unique magnificence that IS this place to stay in St. Lucia...my family arrived with jaws dropped as they walked up the pristine steps into our sanctuary for my wedding week with only the view of the Piton Mountains slightly taking away their attention from the gorgeous sparkling tiled pool in the foreground. The detail and design of this place can not be fully expressed in pictures, although our pictures were praised by many back home! The rooms are out of this world comfortable and extravagant at the same time. We felt like we were living as royalty for a few days, with the awesome staff (including three chefs!) helping with anything and everything. My family happens to be vegan, and they had NO problem creating the BEST meals, all made with fresh fruits and vegetables native to St. Lucia yet not neglecting the protein to give us strength for the hiking, beach visits, snorkeling, diving, and mud bath excursions that were within minutes from our awesome residence for the week. There are not enough wonderful things to say about our security guard Albert, our driver James, and our head Chef Marilyn, all who felt like part of our family by the time our stay was over. Even the owner of the house checked in with us and helped set up our sailing trip, gave us tips, told us the best places to sightsee and restaurants to try...from the first conversation with him I knew we were in good hands. This place was better than we could have imagined, even on the last day we were soaking in the beauty and taking our 5000th picture to try and capture enough to take back home and remember "this best trip of our lives"! I HIGHLY recommend staying at Caille Blanc if you want a smooth, safe, unforgettable, and absolutely stunning experience in St. Lucia!"

Incredible Home and Amenities - Highly Recommended
"My wife and I and our 19 year old son and 16 year old daughter thoroughly enjoyed our week at Tamarind House. Based on the pictures, property description and other reviews, we had very high expectations about the property, and the house and the amenities exceeded even our lofty expectations. This is a very unique property. The photos on the VRBO site are representative of the home and the views but still don't do either justice. The views from every part of the property are spectacular and never get old. The den, dining area, master, second bedroom, and cottage each have direct, open views of the ocean and the Pitons. The open air design allows the trade winds to keep the house very comfortable throughout the day. Also, the property is naturally shaded around the large den and dining area. The pool is larger than we expected (and plenty big enough) and is well maintained. The private tennis court is also well maintained and gets shade during the morning hours and a breeze most of the time. We thoroughly enjoyed both the pool and the tennis court. The staff at the house are exceptional. Ann and Cheryl are outstanding cooks. Every meal was excellent and had a St Lucia flavor - breakfast, lunch, dinner, deserts (homemade gelato). Just tell them fish, chicken, etc. and let them do the rest. We normally are very active on vacations, but not this time. Except for one day of deep sea fishing, we stayed on site and just enjoyed all the property has to offer. We have been fortunate to vacation at some great locations and properties over the years, and Tamarind House is at the top of the list. It is a very unique vacation opportunity.
We had no issues with bugs or wildlife. As other reviews have noted, the road is rough getting to the house but we weren't driving so it wasn't a problem. The driver Po Po is very nice and always available.
Finally, the owner, Nancy, is great to deal with. She is very patient in answering questions and provides all the information and coordination you need to make the trip easy. She has a local property manager who can coordinate your travel and other needs on the island. Everything will be exactly as described and promised."

"What a great get away! The views of the Pitons are stunning. The staff at the Treehouse welcomed us with open arms. The grounds were landscaped with all types of tropical plants. Each day would start with a hike to the top of the mountain with Alvin the grounds keeper. The view are stunning from any point. Then back to the Treehouse for breakfast with Charmaine, the house manager. The breakfast always features fresh local fruit and flowers cut from the grounds. Then I would walk down to the black beach's at Anse Chastanet to snorkel, mnt bike or hang by the sea. The area gives me the tropic's and a feeling i have stepped back in time to a more laid back life. I highly recommend the Treehouse."
