"My husband David and I booked this villa for our 25th Wedding Anniversary. It is truly a magical place. The view from the villa is too gorgeous to put into words. The rainforest foliage surrounding the house and pool were simply elegant and beautiful and the view overlooking the Pitons was breathtaking. It far surpassed the pictures and will be a lasting memory for both of us.
Ben and Bar are a joy to deal with and took great care in answering our numerous questions and we're of great help in arranging a special celebration to commemorate our Anniversary.
Their carefully selected staff is amazing. They collectively made us feel safe and welcomed to this Island Paradise from the moment we arrived.
Charmaine is a phenomenal chef and she kept us surprised and delighted with island specialties. From a family of passionate cooks and eaters her chocolate cake was truly a delight and her meals were delicious. Josephine and Cookie were great too assisting in the kitchen and keeping the place fresh and clean. Tiggy was wonderful at cleaning the incredible infinity pool early each morning for us to enjoy. Julius kept us safe and did a great job with cooking on the BBQ for us.
Don't miss the chance to enjoy this place which is truly a slice of heaven. Thank you again for everything Ben and Bar."

"We had a great time. Your house was fantastic. It was quite an adventure just getting there. Clavie helped us get groceries on the way from the airport. We also bought groceries at Erolines. People in St. Lucia we so helpful and friendly. They gave us directions, helped us to find the ATM. We bought some nice fish at the market. Of course the proximity to Anse Chastanet was fantastic, just down the hill. It was so convenient for scuba diving, snorkeling and the beach.
I also loved the view from your porch of the Pitons and the blue sea. The plunge pools we're nice and refreshing. Your gardens are beautiful. The sound of frogs and insects at night lulled me to sleep. I would come back in a heart beat. Give my regards to Charmaine."

Wonderful view. Unique setting high on the hills with view of the Pitons
"As advertised, the view of the Pitons and the ocean are wonderful. Sit and watch hummingbirds, grey tremblers, etc work the trees and flowers. At night, watch the sun set and the "glowing" click beetles come out. For first time visitors to St. Lucia, note that all walking involves some very steep roads/paths. Anse Chastanet is close by, but it is a hard walk; rent a car to get around and make trips to the waterfalls, town and other nearby attractions. Do not be put off by needing to use a vehicle; Anse Chastenet and Sugar Beach resorts provide on-site shuttles for their guests due to the steepness of the roads/paths.
La Bagatelle is a well-maintained villa. Kitchen is dated, but everything works. Beds are very comfortable. Pool is nice. Note: there is no air-conditioning. Not a problem for us, there are ceiling fans and trade winds. We are not accustomed to having a housekeeper on-site from 9 am till 3 pm. The housekeeper was not intrusive, but it made us feel awkward to be sitting around as someone did chores in the villa."

"The perfect cottage to get away without the crowds of resort visitors. Beautifully situated in view of the Petit Piton and Caribbean waters with lush tropical vegetation. The location is perfect to explore all of the island of St Lucia and is close to the most visited attractions. Ferrard does an amazing job with the grounds and Magdalene is a delight and keeps the cottage in good order. Ian and Henriette have done a wonderful job keeping this secluded cottage quaint and comfortable for their guests. Everyone is very accommodating and we would highly recommend staying at the Hermitage Cottage!"
