  • beautiful Villa beautiful views

"What a relaxing and lovely vacation! My wife and I stayed here and Janine was the best. The villa was fantastic and so comfortable. The views are fabulous and we enjoyed looking at the lights and comings and goings of the boats in the marina. We walked to the Marina and would grab a taxi from there which was very easy and took only about ten minutes. The walk up was a bit strenuous but not impossible by any means and helped keep all the calories from the delicious meals from sticking too badly. Janine had all of the information needed and gave spot on recommendations. We highly recommend this beautiful villa for anyone coming to Rodney Bay! The marina has lots of great food choices from ice cream to dining. Some of our favs were the pineapple ginger martinis at the restaurant above Elena's Pizza; the "traditional rum punch" on the marina at Cafe Ole' for sunset watching; Sushi at the marina; the Landing's Restaurant for pizza and salad with shrimp; and Auntie Jane's chicken at Redouit Beach. The best Roti we had was in town by the market place at a local restaurant called Kimlins but the roti at Pigeon Island was excellent too. The grilled fish at the Naked Fisherman was excellent. It was just a great vacation all around and we have already recommended it to our friends here at home!"

  • Simplistic Luxury & Serenity

"Brigand Hill is a wonderful place to stay on this spectacular island. Centrally located on the west coast, the villa provides easy access to a variety of activities all over the island for half or full day trips. It's simple beauty & structure, & impeccably maintained grounds reflect the island itself. It's just enough without being too much. For those who really want to feel immersed in the St. Lucian terrain/climate, it's the perfect place to make your home base. Sitting on a hill above the Anse Galet valley, the villa has surreal views of the rugged topography while providing a glimpse of the Caribbean Sea to its west. The bedroom upstairs in the main building has screened shutters, allowing the constant tradewinds to create a cool & airy environment while you sleep at night or nap during the day. When there's a rainstorm, you can hear it approaching as it comes down the valley & descends upon the house. If you're lucky enough to be sleeping when this happens, this room couldn't be a better place to be. At night, you'll hear the sounds of the rainforest take over, & it's like falling asleep on a perfect summer night. Add a bag of ice to the grocery list so you don't run out using the blender :) George, the caretaker, is extremely knowledgeable on anything/everything St. Lucia-related. Happy to answer all your questions to guide you in the right direction when making plans, he'll even accompany you on an excursion! He came with us on our Gros Piton hike & barely even broke a sweat! A jack of all trades, he's eager to share his passion for the island. Vera is a love & happily and graciously keeps the house in order during your stay so you don't have to. I'm pretty particular about other people doing my laundry, but she took scrupulous care of my clothes. She even had flowers on the bedspread upstairs upon our arrival - so romantic. Bertilla is a super sweet, talented cook & prepared some really great meals for us. She'll make you anything but I suggest you request some local dishes like christophene casserole, chicken curry, rice & beans, or pumpkin soup - all delish! She set a lovely table every night outside by the pool, specially folded napkins included. This crew left no detail unnoticed and their hard work revealed itself in my experience at the villa. They added elements of ease and welcoming grace to the trip which made the island as a whole even more special. I can't wait to go back to St. Lucia, and I'll definitely be staying at Brigand Hill."

  • Great value and location!

"This is a great rental for those who prefer to live like the locals, and not at a resort. The supermarket is just a 5 min bus ride or car drive away in Rodney Bay, and there's also the gas station & convenience store at the entrance to Cas en Bas Road (about a 15 min walk). The accommodations are clean and comfortable, and it was great to have a washing machine. It is located in a quiet residential area, so a rental car is recommended. We did fairly well however on foot and relying on transportation provided by our excursion / tour operators. We rented a car for one day to visit the markets at Castries and to have dinner at Marjorie's Beach Bar (a hidden gem of a restaurant!). Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at Cas en Bas. Karen and Jerome were very accommodating and we would highly recommend this rental property. Graham & Michele"

  • Perfect

"From the moment we arrived we were spoiled. There is nothing missing in this fully outfitted house. The staff went about their jobs of keeping everything ship shape without being intrusive at all, very friendly and helpful with local insights. I am convinced there isn't a nicer package on the island. Walking either direction to beaches was an easy matter, but you should wear something better than sandals because of loose gravel and some steep spots. We walked down every morning to meet our dive master "Chester" from Action Adventure Diving."
