"We stayed at The Landings for our wedding week and it was a fantastic home away from home for us to have as a base during a very busy and fabulous week! The unit is beautiful, nicely equipped, and very clean and spacious. It is very close to the beach and the beachside restaurant, as well as one of the pools. We cooked a couple of times in the unit which worked out great to save some cash. The beach at The Landings is lovely - we visited a bunch of resorts that wedding guests were staying at and none of them compared. The people who work at The Landings were lovely and it was just a wonderful stay overall. We did not want to leave!! In St Lucia we recommend doing an all day boat tour to Pitons/mud baths etc (we went with Joe Knows Tours). Restaurants we tried and loved were Spinnakers, Jacques and 1461. Thank you to Karen and Dan for everything and for a wonderful stay at your beautiful place, we hope to be back soon!"Guest: Karen W. "My wife and I spent 12 glorious days in Unit #10; we couldn't have been happier with it! The Villa was clean, quiet, secure, comfortably roomy, bright and cheery. It was screened and air conditioned, nicely laid out, thoughtfully furnished, and very tastefully decorated with local art. Closets were ample, with a safe. Furnishings were complete, so we really didn't need to bring anything. There was a washing machine, and everything needed for air drying, ironing, etc. Extras such as grass beach mats were provided. 110v and 220v outlets fit all of our gadgets and chargers. The home entertainment system was great; we occasionally watched free cable TV and a few DVDs brought along. The patio and balcony both overlook a crystal clear pool, allowing relaxed lounging and enjoyment of pleasant sea breezes. The courtyard was surrounded by palms and lovely flowering bushes. Maintenance staff and the owners were all wonderfully personable and considerate! When we arrived, our unit was beautifully decorated with flowers and fronds, and supplied with fruits, snacks and assorted beverages. There was a book of written instructions for everything, with dining and tour suggestions -- so very helpful and complete. The location is very convenient within Rodney Bay, being just a few moments walk to grocery and bargain stores, and only 10 minutes more to shopping centres. Between the two is the Bay Gardens Hotel, which provides free shuttle service to the beach area. We didn't rent a car, but there was secure space to park one. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Saint Lucia! There's plenty to see and do around the island, and the population is so friendly -- loved it!"Guest: Rich Date of Stay: October 2014 Review Submitted: November 18, 2014View listing
"This was our second time staying at the villa. Ken and Diane are truly amazing hosts with incredible knowledge of their surroundings. We visited the local market and fisheries and ate local food including some of the best fish I have ever tasted. A walk out the back of the property with Ken and Diane was one of the highlights, meeting local farmers and workers and sampling some fantastic fruits. The villa is a home from home, very comfortable and with the most fabulous view which you never tire of. I have no idea why anyone would want to book into a hotel when you can have such a great relaxing time at Ken and Diane's home. The kitesurfing is also great and there are a couple of good spots 10 to 15 mins away. Sandy beach is lovely, wild and quiet with a couple of good eateries right by the beach. Thank you for such a wonderful stay and for inspiring me to cook some different dishes!"Guest: Anonymous Date of Stay: November 2014 Review Submitted: December 8, 2014View listing
"In the year of 2013 we stayed for two weeks in the La Rose Apartment. The pictures are true to what you see and to what you get when you enter the apartment. There is free WiFi, a cell phone with minutes already on it. The owners offer help to just about everything. They can arrange for a rental car to be brought directly to the apartment or their driver, Anthony will take you just about anywhere you want to go, but for a fee of course. Anthony is very professional and looks the part of a professional. Arrangements can be made though the owners of the Apartment, John and Shirley to be waiting at the airport when you arrive. The drive to the apartment is lovely and the stops at the bread stand and the grocery store is very good. Locals are very nice and friendly and they take American Dollars and of course there are banks and the lime phone store where you can add minutes to your apartment cell phone. But, to see the island, you really need to rent a car, just be careful and driving in the the left side of the road. There are many different beaches which are all very nice, but we found the Marigot Bay beach to be small, clean, free of peddlers, groomed daily and beach chairs can be rented. You will love this beach and is not to be missed. It is a safe harbor with calm water. Rodney Bay Beach has lots of Peddlers and is is hot there, where as Marigot Bay Beach has tall king palms for shade, a small food and beer stand and it will call you back there each day. Getting back to the apartment, there is a laundry room in the apartment, a comfortable bed, nice kitchen appliances and everything you need to make your stay one to be remembered. BUT I do want to warn you, the view will keep you up at night for the twinkling lights of the Bay of La Toc and Castries is magnificent. Castries, being the capitol city, always has ships coming and going as well as cruise ships that pass directly in front of the apartment and there is nothing to block your view. You will also enjoy sitting on the covered porch watching the ships and the brief rain showers pass by. And, of course the apartment has nice air conditioning, which will keep you comfy. Having a nice drink on the porch or just relax watching TV is nice at the end of the day. We ate in most all the time and only ate out a few times. Be sure to ask locals where they eat for the food is really good and not made for tourists. We will be returning to the La Rose again this year and think of it as "home".We love this place"Guest: Bill and Ann S. Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 16, 2014View listing
