  • Comfortable, Convenient

"My husband & I spent our 30th anniversary in this little gem! 11 nights we were able to be there, and it was worth every penny. Because I knew the island prior to arrival, I was concerned the road close to it would be too noisy, but it wasn't. The photos do not do it justice, except for the photos from the porch. Every morning and evening we watched sailboats go by! Because there was AC, our sleeping was good. Very clean & comfortable, and the owners very accommodating. Cooking our own meals in the well-stocked kitchen was a plus for us, too, and having our evening meals on the covered porch was excellent. You won't be disappointed!"

  • Absolutely Wonderful

"My boyfriend and I cannot say enough wonderful things about this villa. It is without doubt the best place we have stayed ever. The villa has the most unbelievable, breathtaking views you could imagine. Every morning we woke up, we were once again in awe. The kitchen is spacious and has everything you need to cook. There are multiple areas to lounge inside the villa and outside, to take in the picturesque scenes. The pool is absolutely perfect - it is private, surrounded by a garden, and there is enough room to actually swim around in. In regards to location, it is at the very northern tip of the island - Cap Estate/Gros Islet. Rodney Bay is nearby, which has a mall, grocery store, and TONS of restaurants and bars. The northern tip of the island in general has several nearby beaches, all of which are stunningly beautiful and take 5-10 minutes to get to. I would highly suggest renting a car for this villa, it will be more convenient and save you money overall. We took a day trip to Soufriere (about an hour and half each way). You drive down the West Coast, which is very scenic. Amazing view of the rain forest and coast. In Soufriere, we did the Tet Paul Nature Trail (views of the Pitons), Diamond Waterfall + Botantical Garden Walk, and Sulfur Springs + Mud Baths. When we finally got back to our villa that night, it felt like home. The house keeper, Brenda, is also very nice! I highly recommend staying here - we are a young couple but it would be great for a family, and really for anyone of all ages and interests. High remarks for privacy, views, and nearby restaurants and beaches. Wouldn't trade it for anything!"

  • Clean, Well Furnished, Comfortable!

"We LOVED this apartment! A big positive was it had comfortable furniture, nice wall canvas artwork, and a great bed for two large adults. We are not small people and beds in vacation rentals are always a question for us. We were nervous about this rental, but, we were very happily surprised to find a firm bed with nice pillows. The bedroom and outer living room are separated. The bedroom had a nice closet with space for hanging clothes and a small safe for money and passport storage. The bathroom had a large tub, good water pressure, and adequate hot water. Clean bath towels were furnished. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and the fridge was suitably large. A washing machine was also included. The bedroom was air conditioned and the outer living room was not, however, the outer room is on the east side of the building and out of the sun so it stayed cool with breezes. The plunge is clean, lit, and private with a good size. The apartment is located in a rural setting with nice views looking east, yet, close to Rodney Bay. Security is adequate with a lockable gate and acceptable parking located along an access road. The owners were very helpful and the reservation process was easy. They provided several amenities including an information booklet on local businesses, a local cell phone for our use, and a small TV. Both 240V and 120V power outlets. We were also happy with the rental cost. All utilities included and a very competitive rental cost compared to a hotel. We would recommend this rental for anyone looking for a private experience and those wanting to keep away from the fast pace of a hotel stay. The Gros Islet area and Rodney Bay offer plenty of beaches and water sports activity."

  • Wow! A little piece of heaven on the Cap Estate.

"Chateau Devaux was, for us, a wonderful place to stay. Our family of 5 (2 adults 3 children) arrived after a very long flight to be met by the friendliest most hospitable villa owners we've ever encountered. Nothing was too much trouble for them. With regard to the villa - the photos do not do it justice! It was fabulous. It was very large, well-maintained, very clean and superbly decorated. The veranda (where we seemed to spend most of our time), runs all the way round the side of the property, with a view out to sea which is definitely a bit special. We loved the large swimming pool and decking area which also takes in that magical sea view. There are many excellent restaurants nearby, plus beaches/resorts with watersports and lovely beachside restaurants (like Windjammer and Cotton Bay). A day trip to Soufriere is highly recommended, it takes a little while to get there but is well worth it and there are lots of interesting stopping points on the way. Our family would highly recommend this villa. Whilst the 'all-inclusive' resorts are lovely, staying somewhere like this allows you to really see the Island and meet the very lovely, laid back, hospitable people of St Lucia. Chateau Devaux is a very special place and we had a very special time there."
