  • Very nice stay

"We really enjoyed our stay in this cozy apartment. The place is very clean and comfortable with a magnificent sea view. It is in a good location, next to the public transportation so you can visit easily Rodney Bay/Gros Islet and Castries and can walk to a nice small beach. Clarence and his wife were very nice and accommodating. Our friend needed to come back to St-Lucia and stay 2 more days in the apartment and Clarence was kind enough to pick him up to the airport. Thanks again Clarence, we really appreciate. We definitely recommend this place."

  • La Rose Apartment is WONDERFUL- We love it and you will too!

"In the year of 2013 we stayed for two weeks in the La Rose Apartment. The pictures are true to what you see and to what you get when you enter the apartment. There is free WiFi, a cell phone with minutes already on it. The owners offer help to just about everything. They can arrange for a rental car to be brought directly to the apartment or their driver, Anthony will take you just about anywhere you want to go, but for a fee of course. Anthony is very professional and looks the part of a professional. Arrangements can be made though the owners of the Apartment, John and Shirley to be waiting at the airport when you arrive. The drive to the apartment is lovely and the stops at the bread stand and the grocery store is very good. Locals are very nice and friendly and they take American Dollars and of course there are banks and the lime phone store where you can add minutes to your apartment cell phone. But, to see the island, you really need to rent a car, just be careful and driving in the the left side of the road. There are many different beaches which are all very nice, but we found the Marigot Bay beach to be small, clean, free of peddlers, groomed daily and beach chairs can be rented. You will love this beach and is not to be missed. It is a safe harbor with calm water. Rodney Bay Beach has lots of Peddlers and is is hot there, where as Marigot Bay Beach has tall king palms for shade, a small food and beer stand and it will call you back there each day. Getting back to the apartment, there is a laundry room in the apartment, a comfortable bed, nice kitchen appliances and everything you need to make your stay one to be remembered. BUT I do want to warn you, the view will keep you up at night for the twinkling lights of the Bay of La Toc and Castries is magnificent. Castries, being the capitol city, always has ships coming and going as well as cruise ships that pass directly in front of the apartment and there is nothing to block your view. You will also enjoy sitting on the covered porch watching the ships and the brief rain showers pass by. And, of course the apartment has nice air conditioning, which will keep you comfy. Having a nice drink on the porch or just relax watching TV is nice at the end of the day. We ate in most all the time and only ate out a few times. Be sure to ask locals where they eat for the food is really good and not made for tourists. We will be returning to the La Rose again this year and think of it as "home".We love this place"

  • A month that felt like a beautiful dream.

"I just got home and want to go back already. Our months stay at The Fortress was absolutely more than we could have imagined. The view is totally breathtaking in every direction you look. The hot temperatures with warm breeze every day made you never want to go inside. The pool was perfect to float in and cool off while listening to music, having a cool drink and again staring at the view. The units are very spacious with everything you need to feel at home. The added bonus of the vehicle made it so easy to come and go and do as we please. We lived like a local and loved it. I can not say enough about our most gracious and kind home owners. They made us feel so very welcome and gave us lots of privacy although we loved to spend time with them. They invited us to a St. Lucian home cooked dinner which was so delicious that I had to learn these recipes to make them at home. And they did just that. A few days later they came down to our unit and taught us how to make them. This was another very memorable day. They gave us a prepaid local cell phone with their number programmed in it for any questions or issues we may have had. This certainly added another sense of comfort to our stay on this beautiful island. They checked with us periodically to see if we needed anything. They were our home owners who have become our friends and our St. Lucian family. We will definitely return to this most beautiful island and home."

  • Great value and location!

"This is a great rental for those who prefer to live like the locals, and not at a resort. The supermarket is just a 5 min bus ride or car drive away in Rodney Bay, and there's also the gas station & convenience store at the entrance to Cas en Bas Road (about a 15 min walk). The accommodations are clean and comfortable, and it was great to have a washing machine. It is located in a quiet residential area, so a rental car is recommended. We did fairly well however on foot and relying on transportation provided by our excursion / tour operators. We rented a car for one day to visit the markets at Castries and to have dinner at Marjorie's Beach Bar (a hidden gem of a restaurant!). Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at Cas en Bas. Karen and Jerome were very accommodating and we would highly recommend this rental property. Graham & Michele"
