  • Very nice stay

"We really enjoyed our stay in this cozy apartment. The place is very clean and comfortable with a magnificent sea view. It is in a good location, next to the public transportation so you can visit easily Rodney Bay/Gros Islet and Castries and can walk to a nice small beach. Clarence and his wife were very nice and accommodating. Our friend needed to come back to St-Lucia and stay 2 more days in the apartment and Clarence was kind enough to pick him up to the airport. Thanks again Clarence, we really appreciate. We definitely recommend this place."

  • Can't decide who would like it here

"From other reviews it looks like others have had better experiences, so read those too! The view is great, despite being cut up by wires, and the property is lush and well maintained. The plunge pool is also well maintained and a fantastic addition being that the walk back from the beach is really more of a hike as it's about 20-30 minutes and steep uphill...we're 30 years old and in shape and it was tough after a day in the sun. The house itself is a great idea in general but the fact is, that after dark, the only place to hang out without being completely exposed to the outside world is the bedroom that has zero entertainment inside it. So you end up eating dinner and watching tv or playing games basically outside where everyone who drives by can look at you. Zero privacy. This didn't sit well with me...the house is up off the ground about 6+ feet but could easily be accessed by someone so I basically felt scared for 5 days straight that we would be robbed (especially after reading too many bad stories of crime in St.Lucia). The house was well stocked, kitchen was tiny but functional, and Charmaine the house keeper was friendly and available as well as the rest of the staff. I do wish they all didn't come before 10-11am...it was weird waking up to hearing them around our house and she knocks on the door as soon as she hears you're awake so you literally get no privacy here. I'm just not sure who this property is for...honeymooners would have no privacy, older folks would hate the walk to the beach and the noise, and families would have no space or security. It's also far from anything so cab rides cost at minimum $30US. I feel bad giving this review as Sam the owner is really friendly and great but I really didn't enjoy the stay...but maybe that's just because I'm a wuss and prefer to be around more people/entertainment? This house is on a corner so there is a road behind and in front of it...lots of road noise as one goes to the Jade Mountain resort and Anse Chastanet beach not to mention the construction noise behind the house. The guy working there did offer not to do "heavy" work until 10am and to not work at all one day of our trip but it ended up they were using loud saws and hammering around 8am everyday so really...there was no reprieve. There are 3 cats who live there, 2 of which are super friendly, the other is just shy. There are also cute frogs on the wall map at night which was neat. Plenty of old movies to watch and the water was warm."

  • Great location for vacation and wedding

"We had our wedding at Beau Rivage and stayed for 9 nights. We had 7 guests who stayed for a week. It was a great size. We had our wedding ceremony and reception on site and it was wonderful. The photos on the website were reflective of actual - no surprises. It was as beautiful as the photos shown. Sue was easy to work with and very helpful prior and during with answering a lot of questions about the villa, St Lucia, and wedding planning. We haven't been to SL before and she and Kris (house manager) made the planning much easier. The house manager/concierge, cook and housekeeper as part of the rental were great add's and one of the reasons we picked Beau Rivage compared to other villas. Very convenient to get recommendations for tours, restaurants, have reservations made, transportation arranged, and 2 meals cooked per day. We did a catamaran and rainforest tour and most nights ate in the Rodney Bay area. Would recommend the catamaran tour to all. For the first night, we arrived in the evening and took the option of grocery pre-stocking and a meal cooked so we just had to heat up and relax that evening. I'd recommend it. All the staff was helpful to prepare for the wedding. They helped with decoration, partnered with the wedding planning services and catering restaurant to coordinate. We had the wedding on the deck and it was beautiful. We were also able to get to the nearby beach for additional wedding photos. The location was also the perfect size for a reception for a party of 9. It was convenient and less stressful to have everything from make up and getting dressed to ceremony, reception/party right there without having to travel. It also kept the schedule more flexible. The furniture, silverware, glassware ...etc available helped save on rental cost and sound system worked well - DJ was able to set up easily. It was a private, relaxing location - great to have own pool and tiki bar. Also nice that the villa had safes for jewelry I brought for the wedding. The house also has a security system. The only challenge was mosquitoes/bugs which I was told was unusual for January but it did rain for few days (which was unusual) first days when we were there. We had the central area AC turned on (for extra cost) and that helped but some guests got a few bites. Overall great trip - would recommend for vacations, reunions, and intimate weddings!"

  • Amazing stay- Can't wait to come back!

"The unit- wonderful! We came for the week and it was exactly what we needed. The property was the perfect size for us, and as others said, was well equipped. I might suggest bringing an aux cord to hook up you ipod. The bed was luxurious and so comfortable and the jacuzzi on the patio overlooking the marina was utilized at least twice a day. The location of the unit within the complex was also quite nice, on the first floor with the marina view, with a quick 2 minute walk to sandy beaches and restaurants. It was very clean and definitely a great find. The resort- Everyone at The Landings was so friendly, specifically the bellmen, the concierge desk and the front desk staff. Though the resort is a bit far from the airport (90 min taxi), it was also the best of the others we researched and also came across while on our trip. The amenities were plentiful, the beach was close and private to the resort, with very soft sand. The resort also provides a US $10 round trip shuttle to Rodney Bay to grab groceries or go shopping, get lunch, etc. We enjoyed the Callaloo restaurant on the beach and the Palms for fine dining, but didn't have as good of experience at The Beach Club (which also provides the room service). Even though it was busy season during our stay, we never had a problem tracking down a beach chair. We booked the couples massage at the resort spa, which was also quite nice. We found that we did not need to rent a car, between the shuttles and the easy access to taxis, we were set. The island- This was our first time to Saint Lucia and we loved every minute of it. We tried the Carnival catamaran tour to Soufriere for snorkeling, botanical gardens, Diamond Waterfall, and the volcano. The zipline tour was so much fun in the rainforest, and we also booked the sunset cruise through the concierge. We also made the quick walk over to Pigeon Island and hiked up to Fort Rodney for some incredible views. Thank you Karen and Dan! What a fantastic vacation to remember forever!"
