  • Beautiful tropical paradise

"We just returned from a 10 day paradise vacation. Pelican House is the perfect tropical place to stay. The setting is one of the most beautiful places we have ever been. The people are friendly, food is great but the best is the location of Pelican House. It sits on the side of a hill overlooking the gorgeous Marigot Bay with a small beautiful beach. Pelican House is perfect as the outdoor living space allows a spectacular view of the area and the sun rises are absolutely wonderful on the deck with a glass of wine. You can just relax or experience the island your choice. Always something to do if you want. Would definitely return, we have been visiting Pelican House for over 10 years now."

"From the minute we stepped into the property the fabulous view took our breath away. We had dinner a few nights before at he Cliff House (similar view), but this was even better. The layout is very livable with the bedrooms removed from the living area to allow privacy for all. The drive up was a little daunting, but, to be honest we are not used to left hand driving. We did get reasonably comfortable after a while. The staff (Ivy, Shane, Michael) were very nice to us and unobtrusive. The villa was well maintained by them. Some small improvements could be made (broken trash can, chair in need of repair); but, all-in we loved staying here and would not hesitate to return."

  • Paradise

"We, two couples in our forties, escaped from the last kicks of winter in Switzerland to this paradise where you can stay all the time in shorts and t-shirt. In the process of booking the two last weeks of March 2015 it was great how fast the owner, John, responded to my mails. He was also very helpful and gave very good advices. His on-island-agent Ena was also very helpful and gave great advices for sailing, horseback riding and a hike up the gros piton. The house is located in a beautiful, remote area. It is at the end of a dead end street and pretty quiet. You hear the noises of the birds, frogs and insects more than anything else. :-) Nevertheless in 10-15 minutes you can be -by rented car or taxi- in Rodney Bay or Castries with all its restaurants and supermarkets. The size of the house felt just right for the 4 of us. It was neither too big, nor too small. Having the wonderful pool to ourselves was better than we expected. Many times a day we would go for a short swim to cool off a bit and refresh. We ended up going less to beaches and staying more around the wonderful house. Reading, sleeping...just relaxing. The view of the ocean from the house and especially from the infinity edge pool is breathtaking. Sipping on a cool Piton or Heineken in the pool while the sun is melting into the ocean is something I can highly recommend. ;-) Even from the bathroom of the master bedroom you can see the ocean. The whole stay even exceeded our already high expectations. Everything was as described. I can highly recommend booking a stay at this wonderful house in paradise."

  • Great location for vacation and wedding

"We had our wedding at Beau Rivage and stayed for 9 nights. We had 7 guests who stayed for a week. It was a great size. We had our wedding ceremony and reception on site and it was wonderful. The photos on the website were reflective of actual - no surprises. It was as beautiful as the photos shown. Sue was easy to work with and very helpful prior and during with answering a lot of questions about the villa, St Lucia, and wedding planning. We haven't been to SL before and she and Kris (house manager) made the planning much easier. The house manager/concierge, cook and housekeeper as part of the rental were great add's and one of the reasons we picked Beau Rivage compared to other villas. Very convenient to get recommendations for tours, restaurants, have reservations made, transportation arranged, and 2 meals cooked per day. We did a catamaran and rainforest tour and most nights ate in the Rodney Bay area. Would recommend the catamaran tour to all. For the first night, we arrived in the evening and took the option of grocery pre-stocking and a meal cooked so we just had to heat up and relax that evening. I'd recommend it. All the staff was helpful to prepare for the wedding. They helped with decoration, partnered with the wedding planning services and catering restaurant to coordinate. We had the wedding on the deck and it was beautiful. We were also able to get to the nearby beach for additional wedding photos. The location was also the perfect size for a reception for a party of 9. It was convenient and less stressful to have everything from make up and getting dressed to ceremony, reception/party right there without having to travel. It also kept the schedule more flexible. The furniture, silverware, glassware ...etc available helped save on rental cost and sound system worked well - DJ was able to set up easily. It was a private, relaxing location - great to have own pool and tiki bar. Also nice that the villa had safes for jewelry I brought for the wedding. The house also has a security system. The only challenge was mosquitoes/bugs which I was told was unusual for January but it did rain for few days (which was unusual) first days when we were there. We had the central area AC turned on (for extra cost) and that helped but some guests got a few bites. Overall great trip - would recommend for vacations, reunions, and intimate weddings!"
