"We stayed at the Brogan Villa for 8 days in February and had a wonderful time. It is very well appointed and had everything we needed. I hesitate to let the word out as it will become so busy I won't be able to book again. The owners were easy to work with and the help, Natalie and Cyrus, were very helpful and pleasant. Natalie even brought us some fresh limes for our cocktails from her own trees. We will be back SOON!!!"Guest: Lisa B. Date of Stay: February 2014 Review Submitted: March 19, 2014View listing
"This was our second time staying at the villa. Ken and Diane are truly amazing hosts with incredible knowledge of their surroundings. We visited the local market and fisheries and ate local food including some of the best fish I have ever tasted. A walk out the back of the property with Ken and Diane was one of the highlights, meeting local farmers and workers and sampling some fantastic fruits. The villa is a home from home, very comfortable and with the most fabulous view which you never tire of. I have no idea why anyone would want to book into a hotel when you can have such a great relaxing time at Ken and Diane's home. The kitesurfing is also great and there are a couple of good spots 10 to 15 mins away. Sandy beach is lovely, wild and quiet with a couple of good eateries right by the beach. Thank you for such a wonderful stay and for inspiring me to cook some different dishes!"Guest: Anonymous Date of Stay: November 2014 Review Submitted: December 8, 2014View listing
"We have done quite a bit of traveling over the years, but never have we encountered greater hospitality than Danny and Ann provided on our visit. They catered to our every need and desire, driving us to locations we wished to visit as well as recommending excellent restaurants in the area. The location is unequalled on St. Lucia. The rooms overlook beautiful Marigot Bay and a lovely patio with a very nice pool and seating area, surrounded by garden. The accommodations are beautifully decorated, exceptionally well maintained, and very clean. Breakfasts were hearty and featured fresh fruit from the garden. We couldn't have been more pleased!"Guest: Wisconsin snow bird Date of Stay: October 2014 Review Submitted: October 26, 2014View listing
"My Girlfriend and I stayed in the cottage for a week in November and had a fantastic time! The cottage resides in a very interesting geological location (collapsed volcano crater) hence, the pitons, amazing topography and views. Don't worry, the volcano has been dormant for some 40,000 years. The cottage is at a high elevation from the sea, and is on the edge of a small interior rainforest (bug spray is good). We spent a couple days just hanging around the cottage, catching some sun, relaxing and found that it had everything we needed. The remaining days were spent enjoying the many activities and sites (waterfalls, mud baths, views, beaches, snorkeling, zipline, hiking, water taxi's, markets). The location of the cottage is within close proximity to all these things. If you enjoy being independent, and having privacy away from other tourists, this spot is for you, it was perfect for us. I would recommend this location to others, but I can't say it's for everyone. There is a maid (Magdelane) and a gardener (Ferrard) who are present, however, on the first day we met the maid and she asked us what we would like in terms of service. We told her that we were fairly independent people and she should come by every other day just to do the basics... On the first day she came into town with us, showed us around Soufriere and where the grocery store, butcher, bakery and bank were. Looking at some of the other reviews I think she will do more for you if that's what you want. We hardly ever saw Ferrard... From our understanding, he does maintain this property and has a garden down the road, and maintains the roadway leading up to the cottage, he left us fresh bread one day. We thought he was pleasant. In hindsight, I would have asked more questions about the maid before heading out to the property to clarify her role upfront, but we got exactly what we wanted, so it didn't matter. I found the island to be safe and the people warm and friendly. St.Lucia has many exciting things to do as well as having the chill factor (island time). We loved it here on the island, and staying at the cottage offered a unique and special experience that not many other travellers get to have when travelling to St. Lucia.. We loved it here and would go back again. Thanks for letting us use the cottage for the week. It was better then we expected!"Guest: Mark T.
