  • Perfect Holiday Home

"Upon arrival, we were made very welcome by Charmaine, the delightful House Manager, who continued to look after our every need throughout our stay. Idyllic situation with the most amazing view of the Pitons from the wide balcony. Very comfortable accommodation with every comfort and excellent equipment. Close to the rather old fashioned town of Souffriere. Sad that most beaches on the island have been taken over by expensive resort hotels"

  • Best Anniversary Ever

"We could not have been happier with the decision to celebrate our 25th anniversary at Cap Pavilion. As other reviewers have noted the location is incredibly beautiful and private. Quite often the hardest decision was where to enjoy our time; the sitting room, the portico, the pool, or the sun deck. After several days it became clear that each had its optimum use; morning tea, sunset, sunrise, mid-day heat, and reading. We arrived on Saint Lucia with an extensive list of restaurants we intended to enjoy. At the end of our stay we had not visited one restaurant. Upon our arrival we were treated first to a gourmet snack and then a dinner prepared by Sandrine. They were fabulous! On day two we decided to sample another day of Sandrine’s cooking. We thoroughly enjoyed the multi-course dinner served in the formal dining room complete with mahogany, linens, china, silver, and candles. The room itself is a very open design void of a fourth wall so you can enjoy the fresh air and the view across the courtyard to the lights of Rodney Bay below. Our definition of the perfect restaurant is built around great food, attentive service, beautiful views, and minimal disruption from neighboring tables. There was no reason to look any further, we had found near perfection in Sandrine and Cap Pavilion. Sandrine agreed to shop, prepare, and surprise us with the menu for the balance of our stay. We could not have been happier for breakfast, lunch, dinner, rum punch, etc. In fact, the relationship eventually morphed into part restaurant, part cooking school. On numerous occasions I found my wife in the kitchen with Sandrine getting lessons on various preparation techniques. The surrounding natural areas were another very pleasant surprise. The photography and hiking opportunities right from the villa were most enjoyable. There is a network of trails (some of which are passable in a jeep) at the bottom of the road that follow the Atlantic coast. With just a three to four mile hike one can enjoy all types of topography; deserted sandy beaches, cactus fields, surf pounded rock structures, and even wild horses. If you follow the trails south along the coast you will come to Case en Bas beach which has a quintessential bamboo beach bar, Marjorie’s….great place to stop for a cold drink. A little further south is Five Dollar Beach (to get a feel for the area, google: The Man Who Won’t Sell Paradise)."

  • Amazing Stay- exactly as described, a peaceful paradise in the caribbean with the best view ever!

"We had an amazing stay at the Sur La Mer house. I think that they describe the property very well, and the staff did an excellent job making sure we had a great time. Starting with John as I dealt with him during the entire booking process was an absolute pleasure, he was very fast with responses, and it was nothing but a great experience booking through him. Luenda was the housekeeper, she was great, I highly recommend taking advantage of her cooking, as her authentic st. lucian meals were better than most restaurants we ate at. They were our favorite meals of the trip. Paul was a great taxi/shuttle service, we originally were going to use a rental car, but once we got there we just decided to relax more instead of constantly being on the go with a rental car. We used Paul's service for the shuttle to and from the airport, which I do recommend as it is a long drive back to the house from UVF airport, and he will stop at the store if needed. The local bus is great, it cost about 60 cents US, and we used it every day to go to Rodney bay, Gros Islet, and North Pigeon Fort island. There is a stop for the local bus right at the bottom of the street for Sur La Mer, so it was convenient. However, just for your awareness it is a beautiful, but hilly walk to and from the main road from the house. We used it as a good exercise, but if you don't like walking I would say to just use the taxi service right to the house. Property: was Amazing, view is exactly as shown in pictures, very private, and as they say "million dollar views" House: very nice, as described, the decks were great to hang out on and relax. I do recommend bug spray as mosquito's can be quite annoying, but to be expected with tropical environments. Recommendations: Have Luenda cook a few meals for you, Curry Chicken was Amazing!; Gros Islet Friday night "jump off" party was a great time, great street vendor food, and I personally liked Castro's bar before the party got started to hang out at; Don't overdo yourself, relax at the house, it is truly a gem; North Pigeon Fort Island was right above Sandals Grande, we hanged out at the beach along there and it was great. The restaurant on North Pig. Fort Island is awesome, very cheap and great food. The short 10-15 minute walk to the top is well worth it, it has AMAZING views; Thanks for everything, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, God Bless and look forward to next time."

  • Weekend Getaway in Paradise

"We were lucky enough to choose Nature's Paradise for a long weekend escape from winter. It did not disappoint. David and Wanda are perfect hosts who share their love of St. Lucia. We stayed in Avocado Cottage which has a beautiful and ever changing view of the Caribbean from the covered porch. The cottage is well supplied with pots and pans, dishes, and glasses if you choose to cook. There is a lush, tropical view from every window. We did take David's tour of the Soufriere area, which included many stops, even a few that are not on the cruise line stops. We highly reccommend his tour if it is offered. We saw a side of the island that we would not have found on our own. They will offer suggestions for other activities if you are in need of guidance. They can also direst you to the best restaurants. We did not have a bad meal while on the island. David and Wanda also encourage mingling with other guests around the pool and at breakfast. It was fun to see what the others had discovered on the island. Finally, the roads to Marigot Bay and Nature's Paradise can be a challenge. Follow David's advice and rent a high clearance car. You will not regret it. Thank you David and Wanda."
