  • A perfect sanctuary- what a wonderful villa.

"From the moment we arrived at Cap Pavilion, we knew we had reached somewhere truly special. We were greeted warmly at the airport by Cecil and driven in the 4x4 across the island to this amazing private sanctuary: perched on the top of a hill- we soon realised that the views from this villa would be some of the most beautiful of the island we would see during our whole trip. The villa is really quite wonderful. It mixes old fashioned charm with 21st century luxury. The bathrooms and bedrooms were furnished to an exceptionally high standard, and were kept spotlessly clean each day. It is clear that we were in a property that was beautifully considered, nurtured and loved. There were so many parts of the villa to discover, and endless peaceful spots to watch the sunset. The main living room is a fantastic room: we spent hours whiling away time reading books, playing board games and listening to sounds of the tropical wildlife outside. The gorgeous swimming pool was perfectly sheltered for the toddler in our group, and was another incredibly quiet and comfortable area to relax in. One of the most lovely aspects of our stay at Cap Pavilion was being treated to Sandrine's fantastic cooking. She did all of our food shopping for us, and we really felt like we were being spoilt! Breakfast was an amazing selection of local fresh tropical fruits, breads, and any hot food we requested. Each evening we had a delicious 3-course meal, Caribbean-style with a quirky twist- all made from local produce, and freshly cooked. There was something different every night and we were always left feeling heartily full after every meal! It really was such a luxury. The house staff were completely unobtrusive, and yet always so forthcoming if we needed anything: from food requests, to some amazing tips on where to visit on the island- they catered to all our needs discreetly and without fuss. There was nothing better than returning from a day of exploring to be greeted by a cup of tea, a slice of Sandrine's home baking, and a well earned dip in the pool. As seasoned explorers, we rarely visit the same place twice- but this is a place we we have already promised ourselves that we will return to. We would unreservedly recommend Cap Pavilion to couples, groups and families alike. This is truly an incredible and unique place."

  • Perfect!

"We stayed at The Landings for our wedding week and it was a fantastic home away from home for us to have as a base during a very busy and fabulous week! The unit is beautiful, nicely equipped, and very clean and spacious. It is very close to the beach and the beachside restaurant, as well as one of the pools. We cooked a couple of times in the unit which worked out great to save some cash. The beach at The Landings is lovely - we visited a bunch of resorts that wedding guests were staying at and none of them compared. The people who work at The Landings were lovely and it was just a wonderful stay overall. We did not want to leave!! In St Lucia we recommend doing an all day boat tour to Pitons/mud baths etc (we went with Joe Knows Tours). Restaurants we tried and loved were Spinnakers, Jacques and 1461. Thank you to Karen and Dan for everything and for a wonderful stay at your beautiful place, we hope to be back soon!"

  • Comfortable, Convenient

"My husband & I spent our 30th anniversary in this little gem! 11 nights we were able to be there, and it was worth every penny. Because I knew the island prior to arrival, I was concerned the road close to it would be too noisy, but it wasn't. The photos do not do it justice, except for the photos from the porch. Every morning and evening we watched sailboats go by! Because there was AC, our sleeping was good. Very clean & comfortable, and the owners very accommodating. Cooking our own meals in the well-stocked kitchen was a plus for us, too, and having our evening meals on the covered porch was excellent. You won't be disappointed!"

  • Wow! A little piece of heaven on the Cap Estate.

"Chateau Devaux was, for us, a wonderful place to stay. Our family of 5 (2 adults 3 children) arrived after a very long flight to be met by the friendliest most hospitable villa owners we've ever encountered. Nothing was too much trouble for them. With regard to the villa - the photos do not do it justice! It was fabulous. It was very large, well-maintained, very clean and superbly decorated. The veranda (where we seemed to spend most of our time), runs all the way round the side of the property, with a view out to sea which is definitely a bit special. We loved the large swimming pool and decking area which also takes in that magical sea view. There are many excellent restaurants nearby, plus beaches/resorts with watersports and lovely beachside restaurants (like Windjammer and Cotton Bay). A day trip to Soufriere is highly recommended, it takes a little while to get there but is well worth it and there are lots of interesting stopping points on the way. Our family would highly recommend this villa. Whilst the 'all-inclusive' resorts are lovely, staying somewhere like this allows you to really see the Island and meet the very lovely, laid back, hospitable people of St Lucia. Chateau Devaux is a very special place and we had a very special time there."
