  • Voted Best Decision Of My Married Life!

"It's hard to explain the beauty of this place until you experience it for yourself but I will try my best to convince you that this house is better than you could imagine. In my option, the pictures on the website barely do this place justice. You need a series of panorama pictures to begin capturing the house. Hands down, this house sits on arguably one of the best views on the entire island. When I show people pictures of the place on my phone, its the same reaction each time - "That does not look real." The house was designed by a true craftsman. The villa provides a luxurious opportunity to experience the beauty of the St. Lucian rain-forest. It is a perfect place to spend your honeymoon (this is what we did!) or a vacation with your family or friends. I cannot speak for the entire year, but during our visit (early October) we experienced little to no bugs. I have been to many rain-forests in the world and the St. Lucian rain-forest was very surprising with how few bugs we experienced. You are minutes away from one of the best beaches (if not the best) on the island. You are also very close to all of the major attractions on the island to see, cutting down on travel time and increasing awesome vacation time. The house is very secure. The small village a few minutes down the road below the villa is full of warm and genuine people. You will be in good hands with Mary and Pius. They are both nice and will make you feel at home. If you are still unsure about the villa. Don't be shy and contact the owner, David. He is nice and will tell you more about the place and the island. Have a fun trip!"

  • Perfect!

"We stayed at The Landings for our wedding week and it was a fantastic home away from home for us to have as a base during a very busy and fabulous week! The unit is beautiful, nicely equipped, and very clean and spacious. It is very close to the beach and the beachside restaurant, as well as one of the pools. We cooked a couple of times in the unit which worked out great to save some cash. The beach at The Landings is lovely - we visited a bunch of resorts that wedding guests were staying at and none of them compared. The people who work at The Landings were lovely and it was just a wonderful stay overall. We did not want to leave!! In St Lucia we recommend doing an all day boat tour to Pitons/mud baths etc (we went with Joe Knows Tours). Restaurants we tried and loved were Spinnakers, Jacques and 1461. Thank you to Karen and Dan for everything and for a wonderful stay at your beautiful place, we hope to be back soon!"

  • Great value - excellent accommodations

"My husband and I spent 10 days at this property. Janine (property manager) made sure that everything went well for our entire stay. We had breakfast food for the entire week! Even a bottle of good white wine in the fridge! Awesome views from the balcony and everything was clean and comfortable. We will definitely stay at Marina Haven for our future travel to St. Lucia. Highly recommended...."

  • Don't Miss This Gem!

"We stayed at La Batterie in October of 2014. The villa itself is beautiful with a wide sweeping view of the bay into Soufriere and the Pitons. The beds are comfortable and large and they all have mosquito netting (which is a must to set up correctly prior to dusk as we learned the hard way!). The villa is very large and open with a nice kitchen outfitted for whatever you might want to cook, a brand new grill and large seating areas. The pool was one of our favorite locations with the great lighting and waterfall adding to all of our evening swims! The road from Soufriere to the villa is very steep and narrow. We used Clavie as our driver rather than rent a vehicle and be concerned about navigating the roads and the left hand drive. Clavie was a wealth of information, very friendly and pointed out things of interest all along the way. Ask him to take you to Fedo's for lunch! The walk to Anse Chastanet beach is a very easy 10 minutes down and and a little longer uphill. Be prepared for the pricing at Anse Chastanet! Any rentals of beach loungers was between $35 to $55 depending on the type. We also hiked up Gros Piton which was amazing, but not for the faint of heart. Be prepared for the sticker shock on this one. You are required to have a guide and it cost us $35 per person to do the hike, not including gratuity to your guide. The staff of La Batterie definitely made our stay amazing. Cynthia cooked for us twice (her Chicken Curry is out of this world) and both her and Marilyn kept the place looking amazing. Cynthia also did shopping for us prior to our arrival, so it was great to arrive, have a fantastic meal from Cynthia and have food for the next few days with no worries! BK, our night watchman, made us feel very safe every evening. Terry, the groundskeeper, watched out for the house during the day and roasted fresh coffee for us! The staff at La Batterie are all very special and they really add to the overall experience here. Michael, the owner, was also an incredible host and resource. He provided our first meal when we arrived as well as a nice gift basket. In addition, his responsiveness and detailed suggestions were a great help as we planned our trip! We would recommend La Batterie to anyone visiting Soufriere without hesitation! Tiffany, Gabe, Emil & Sarah"
