"In the year of 2013 we stayed for two weeks in the La Rose Apartment. The pictures are true to what you see and to what you get when you enter the apartment. There is free WiFi, a cell phone with minutes already on it. The owners offer help to just about everything. They can arrange for a rental car to be brought directly to the apartment or their driver, Anthony will take you just about anywhere you want to go, but for a fee of course. Anthony is very professional and looks the part of a professional. Arrangements can be made though the owners of the Apartment, John and Shirley to be waiting at the airport when you arrive. The drive to the apartment is lovely and the stops at the bread stand and the grocery store is very good. Locals are very nice and friendly and they take American Dollars and of course there are banks and the lime phone store where you can add minutes to your apartment cell phone. But, to see the island, you really need to rent a car, just be careful and driving in the the left side of the road. There are many different beaches which are all very nice, but we found the Marigot Bay beach to be small, clean, free of peddlers, groomed daily and beach chairs can be rented. You will love this beach and is not to be missed. It is a safe harbor with calm water. Rodney Bay Beach has lots of Peddlers and is is hot there, where as Marigot Bay Beach has tall king palms for shade, a small food and beer stand and it will call you back there each day. Getting back to the apartment, there is a laundry room in the apartment, a comfortable bed, nice kitchen appliances and everything you need to make your stay one to be remembered. BUT I do want to warn you, the view will keep you up at night for the twinkling lights of the Bay of La Toc and Castries is magnificent. Castries, being the capitol city, always has ships coming and going as well as cruise ships that pass directly in front of the apartment and there is nothing to block your view. You will also enjoy sitting on the covered porch watching the ships and the brief rain showers pass by. And, of course the apartment has nice air conditioning, which will keep you comfy. Having a nice drink on the porch or just relax watching TV is nice at the end of the day. We ate in most all the time and only ate out a few times. Be sure to ask locals where they eat for the food is really good and not made for tourists. We will be returning to the La Rose again this year and think of it as "home".We love this place"Guest: Bill and Ann S. Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 16, 2014View listing
"Oh my goodness. I can't say enough about the wonderful time we had at Beau Rivage this past week. We had the best family vacation ever. It was 11 of us and the ages ranged from 14-61. The majority of us are ages 30-40 and are very active. Everyone had a great time. The villa is beautiful and is located in a great spot. There were two beaches that we visited daily each was a short walk away. One beach was great for watersports and the other for snorkeling. The water was crystal clear and the beaches were not crowded at all. We played group volleyball, waterskied, went water tubing, sailing, and snorkeling. There were a couple of days when we just went out into the backyard, fired up the grill and had pool parties. The villa was perfect. The staff seasoned the food for the backyard cookouts. We utilized the outdoor surround speaker system for musical entertainment while we swam and hung out in the hot tub. The staff cooked breakfast and lunch for us everyday and the food was excellent! Fedora and Odessa were great. They were so helpful and our group just fell in love with them. Fedora made sure she brought us a couple of Mangos when she found out it was my husband's favorite fruit. George drove us everywhere we wanted to go and Kris Wagner arranged the tours for us. She was the "make it happen" lady. Our family is accustomed to staying in all-inclusive resorts for our family vacations, but this time we wanted to try something a little different. I can tell you that this vacation was far better than all the others. There was something for everyone to do at all times. We visited the Volcano, took a mud bath, hung out under the waterfall, took a day sail trip, visited a cocoa plantation, got massages, snorkeled, and just truly enjoyed each other's company. The only regret we each had was not booking the home a few days more. The owner thought of everything. Anything you could need, is already in place. If you are looking for a great time and just want to enjoy each other I highly recommend Beau Rivage. I planned this family vacation and I feel sorry for the next person who has to plan the family vacation because this vacation set the bar pretty high. Sue ( the owner) was extremely helpful. She made sure I had all the contacts and places to go before we even made it to St. Lucia. During the week she called in to check on us and to see if there was anything we needed. Everything was first class. I can't say enough about the place."Guest: Dana T. Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: July 16, 2014View listing
"Le Gallarie is a beautiful villa with a stunning vista. Our 2 week stay was effortless and the kind and helpful staff were superb. The sunsets from Le Gallarie's deck are breathtaking. The food was very good and varied, fresh fish and shellfish are available via the local fishermen. There is a steep path down to a pebbled beach that is superb for snorkelling. However we spent most of our time diving the many local marine reserves with the local dive master Chester, whos business Action Adventure Divers can be found on the beach in Soufriere bay. This was our second stay and both were exceptional vacations. I would highly recommend Le Gallarie. As with anywhere in the Caribbean it's important to wear a high factor sun cream and insect repellent at dawn and dusk."Guest: Paul B Date of Stay: October 2014 Review Submitted: November 7, 2014View listing
"We were NOT disappointed with this lovely villa at all.... the pictures are accurate and the view is absolutely gorgeous! The villa is very clean , and well maintained. The open air living was a new experience for us ! The villa is spacious and comfortable for 2 couples, as we celebrating a special birthday with our friends! We didn't rent a car, but did refer to a local taxi fellow who drove us on occasion, and was very accommodating. We attempted to walk down the very steep rough road to Anse Chastanet beach ...... I like to walk, but this is not pleasurable at all..... the return walk up was even worse.... everyone refused to walk it again.... we did take a taxi there and back.... for a cost of $ 40 US. I would advise renting a car... if u are the type that needs to be on the go... as the road to villa is treacherous.... but after a few travels u get use to it. We weren't use to or were we comfortable with the concept of having a housekeeper wait on us.... we had a starter pack of groceries provided , and settled the bill on arrival..... we also stopped at grocery store near airport to purchase a few things.... we found meat to be difficult to find.... as we are not very adventurous fish eaters... so we arrived at villa.... hoping the housekeeper could help us purchase some fresh chicken, or steak for us.... however, that proved to be difficult also... and had to settle for what she could get... in all ,it was fine as we had dinner reservations elsewhere on the weekend.... suggest to others in the future, to be specific and direct with your menu choices, and let her do the shopping.... otherwise u will be be managing on your own. Soufriere is abit rough around the edges to venture into, for our liking. We toured the entire island and seen all the highlights by hired car tour... and also took a water taxi up the coast to Rodney bay, Castries, and Marigot bay. We also went to Sugar beach for the day.... was disappointed in most beaches, in how the resorts segregate small scuffy areas for visitors to sit at..... however we had very expensive drinks at sugar beach patio bar... and had a surprise visit of "Bono" and his family ,who arrive by yacht, and sat next to us on the patio ! So I guess those drinks were worth it ! Warning, at Anse Chastenat beach, the area they direct visitors to is sit at is dangerous due to boat traffic..... snorkelers were frequently in the way . Great experience , and had a lovely time !"Guest: Jan & Brian Date of Stay: April 2014 Review Submitted: May 2, 2014View listing
