"From the moment we arrived at Cap Pavilion, we knew we had reached somewhere truly special. We were greeted warmly at the airport by Cecil and driven in the 4x4 across the island to this amazing private sanctuary: perched on the top of a hill- we soon realised that the views from this villa would be some of the most beautiful of the island we would see during our whole trip. The villa is really quite wonderful. It mixes old fashioned charm with 21st century luxury. The bathrooms and bedrooms were furnished to an exceptionally high standard, and were kept spotlessly clean each day. It is clear that we were in a property that was beautifully considered, nurtured and loved. There were so many parts of the villa to discover, and endless peaceful spots to watch the sunset. The main living room is a fantastic room: we spent hours whiling away time reading books, playing board games and listening to sounds of the tropical wildlife outside. The gorgeous swimming pool was perfectly sheltered for the toddler in our group, and was another incredibly quiet and comfortable area to relax in. One of the most lovely aspects of our stay at Cap Pavilion was being treated to Sandrine's fantastic cooking. She did all of our food shopping for us, and we really felt like we were being spoilt! Breakfast was an amazing selection of local fresh tropical fruits, breads, and any hot food we requested. Each evening we had a delicious 3-course meal, Caribbean-style with a quirky twist- all made from local produce, and freshly cooked. There was something different every night and we were always left feeling heartily full after every meal! It really was such a luxury. The house staff were completely unobtrusive, and yet always so forthcoming if we needed anything: from food requests, to some amazing tips on where to visit on the island- they catered to all our needs discreetly and without fuss. There was nothing better than returning from a day of exploring to be greeted by a cup of tea, a slice of Sandrine's home baking, and a well earned dip in the pool. As seasoned explorers, we rarely visit the same place twice- but this is a place we we have already promised ourselves that we will return to. We would unreservedly recommend Cap Pavilion to couples, groups and families alike. This is truly an incredible and unique place."Guest: Anita and Andy Date of Stay: February 2014 Review Submitted: October 6, 2014View listing
"This was our second trip to St Lucia. Our first was at Sandals for our honeymoon. Ever since then, I wanted to go back and explore this beautiful little island. 5 years later (and with a baby in the oven), we decided to go back and stay at Villa Pomme D'Amour for 7 nights. My wife and I travel quite a bit and usually do the all-inclusive thing every year. This time, we wanted to actually experience the island. Our stay with Josee and Pierre was absolutely wonderful and was exactly what we were looking for. After being greeted quite friendly by Pierre at the airport, we were introduced to Josee with a refreshing (and much needed) Rum Punch along with bruschetta. I was absolutely stunned by the view from our balcony (second floor villa). We had the view of St Lucia's luscious mountains, flowers, plants and the Caribbean water. It was breathtaking.... The villa was beautiful and the pictures don't do it justice. It had 2 bedrooms (each with balconies), kitchen, safe, tv, and a large balcony, where we stayed most of the time. We usually made breakfast every morning and Josee provided some eggs and fruit to get you started. There is a grocery store about 10 minutes away by car. There is a delightful little cove a few minutes away (walking) with some great snorkelling. The pool was also great - it was always warm and romantic especially during the night. This place is right in the rainforest of St Lucia and was quite the experience. Birds come flying on the balcony during the morning looking for feed and the surrounding mountains are so so lush. But when the night hits, the forest becomes alive. You hear all sorts of birds and wildlife - yes it was loud during the night, but it's part of the experience that you just don't get from the big all-inclusives. In my opinion, what makes a great experience from a good one, is the people you meet. Josee and Pierre were absolutely great and genuinely good people who will do anything to make your stay amazing. Josee helped us with our daily itinerary and offered us tips and recommendations regarding some great local restaurants. My wife and I consider Josee and Pierre our new Caribbean friends and I would go back again. FYI, I would rent a car as Marigot Bay is situated in the middle of the island but the roads twist and turn due to the mountains. Driving around is not for the faint of heart but offers some great views. Thank you Josee and Pierre for the wonderful experience! Nick & Barbara"Guest: Nick S. "This was our second time staying at the villa. Ken and Diane are truly amazing hosts with incredible knowledge of their surroundings. We visited the local market and fisheries and ate local food including some of the best fish I have ever tasted. A walk out the back of the property with Ken and Diane was one of the highlights, meeting local farmers and workers and sampling some fantastic fruits. The villa is a home from home, very comfortable and with the most fabulous view which you never tire of. I have no idea why anyone would want to book into a hotel when you can have such a great relaxing time at Ken and Diane's home. The kitesurfing is also great and there are a couple of good spots 10 to 15 mins away. Sandy beach is lovely, wild and quiet with a couple of good eateries right by the beach. Thank you for such a wonderful stay and for inspiring me to cook some different dishes!"Guest: Anonymous Date of Stay: November 2014 Review Submitted: December 8, 2014View listing
"Le Gallarie is a beautiful villa with a stunning vista. Our 2 week stay was effortless and the kind and helpful staff were superb. The sunsets from Le Gallarie's deck are breathtaking. The food was very good and varied, fresh fish and shellfish are available via the local fishermen. There is a steep path down to a pebbled beach that is superb for snorkelling. However we spent most of our time diving the many local marine reserves with the local dive master Chester, whos business Action Adventure Divers can be found on the beach in Soufriere bay. This was our second stay and both were exceptional vacations. I would highly recommend Le Gallarie. As with anywhere in the Caribbean it's important to wear a high factor sun cream and insect repellent at dawn and dusk."Guest: Paul B Date of Stay: October 2014 Review Submitted: November 7, 2014View listing
