  • Beautiful Property, Perfect Location

"This is a top notch villa and a great location. Marigot Bay is much sleepier than Rodney Bay area, with a lot of great bars and restaurants tucked into the hillside around the bay, which are easy to get to. If you are not a fan of the isolation of all inclusive, and really want to get a bit of diversity of experiences, this is a great choice. Large, very will kept villa, good kitchen, nice little slice of the bay view from the main balcony, and our own plunge pool, made this an outstanding choice! The hotel recently renovated the pools and the restaurant areas, so everything is top notch and the staff was so warm and friendly, Thanks Mary."

  • Two Weeks in Paradise!

"We recently returned from two weeks in paradise on the island of St. Lucia. Our vacation there was one of the best we ever had! It was wonderful to escape from a Canadian winter to temperatures ranging in the high 20’s (in Fahrenheit that would be in the 80’s). What a picturesque place St. Lucia is! We come from the landlocked prairies and so we were in awe of the scenery: mountains, the jungle greenery and the Caribbean. We had read glowing reviews of David and Wanda Wallace’s Nature’s Paradise. We were not disappointed! Nature’s Paradise is situated up a mountain just outside Marigot Bay, possibly the most beautiful place in St. Lucia. We stayed in the Avocado cottage. When we were at ”home”, we spent most of our time on the wraparound porch, overlooking the sea and Marigot Bay. Imagine waking up every morning to that view. The cottage has a kitchen, great for weekend breakfasts and for some eat in meals. The Wallaces provide a great breakfast from Monday to Friday. We were served tropical fruits, including juice made from the lime trees that grow on the property. There are also cheeses, local baguettes, Wanda’s amazing banana bread and muffins along with some of the best coffee we have ever had. It’s over breakfast that we had the opportunity to ask David and Wanda about the island and share with the other guests (a maximum of eight guests in the two cottages and two suites in the main house) various places and restaurants that they had visited. It was so interesting to meet couples from neighbouring provinces as well as from Oregon, Boston, and Britain. One couple mentioned they wanted to rent a catamaran for the day. We decided to split the cost and had a wonderful day seeing the island from the sea. We stopped at Sugar Beach for about an hour and later on for some snorkeling. We raved about this trip so much that when another couple arrived they, too, wanted to take a cruise. They opted for a half- day excursion and we, along with another couple, shared the cost. We would not have considered going on a cruise had it not been suggested over breakfast. David was able to make the bookings for us. David took us on an Eco Adventure, which we highly recommend. We visited a botanical garden and David, so knowledgeable about the vegetation, was an excellent guide. We went to a hot springs and spent some time in the pools there. The day ended with a visit to a volcano."

  • So Beautiful

"This was our first visit to Les Chaudieres. We had an amazing time, the location and staff surpassed our expectations. Our arrival was delayed by a day due to weather in Halifax so arriving at this paradise after 24+ long hours of travel was a dream come true. The view is breath taking and photos do not do it justice. Our group was 8 adults (ages 25-29) and Jeff and staff were very accommodating by arranging for 2 of us to sleep on the pull out couch in the main room with a mosquito net. This worked really well for our group. The villa was super private. The beach was also very private with other people down on it only one day (on the good friday holiday). Snorkelling was amazing at the beach. The climb back up from the beach definitely earns you a dip in the pool, we found it especially tough the day after our hike up Gros Piton haha. We did a few day trips out from the villa (Gros Piton hike, Marigot Bay for dinner, Pigeon Island, Castries Market) but loved just hanging out at the villa so much that we moved some of our activities around to maximize villa chill time. The pool was also great, we loved being able to use it whenever we wanted. Also there were very few bugs! We were expecting to have to deal with many more bugs than we did. All the beds had bug nets but we all agreed we didnt think we even needed them. The staff was great! Organizing meals with Christy was very simple, she's got it down to a science. Not having to worry at all about cooking or cleaning was AMAZING! Paul was also great and helped us find our way to the Gros Piton hike as well as being around the villa for little things we needed. Paul lives in the basement of the house but because of the way the house is built you don't even notice there is a basement, making the main villa still feel very private. Our group all agreed that we think this was one of the most beautiful spots we have ever stayed. We would recommend it to everyone! St. Lucia as an island is also breath taking. We hope to return!"

  • Amazing View

"My husband and I stay at Hermitage Cottage for a week at the start of February. Having never booked a VRBO, initially I was a little apprehensive but after speaking directly with the owners, and receiving their prompt helpful emails that didn't last long. We rented a car and drove from the airport. The directions we got were clear and we arrived with no problems. The car the owners recommended for us was perfect for us. The main highway is fine to drive, the side roads not so much, but we just took our time and had no problems. The cottage itself was perfect for us, secluded, comfortable and I can't even begin to describe the beautiful views. The pictures do not do it justice. The property is gorgeous and the cottage itself is well kept and had everything we needed. My husband loved the BBQ and the kitchen is well equipped with anything else you may need. Magdalene, the housekeeper, was a lovely woman who is very helpful with anything you may need or helpful advice. We took the recommendations we read about and had her cook for us one night, and the meal was fabulous. Ferrad kept the pool well maintained and was very discreet when we came down to go for a swim. He spend most of the day in the pool house, but that never bothered us at all, we enjoyed talking to him. We really enjoyed the helpful guest book the owners left, as well as the book they left with everything we needed to know. We got many of our ideas for outings from others peoples experiences. My only advice would be to bring ear plugs to sleep at night if you are a light sleeper, after the sun goes down the insects are very loud! I would recommend this place to anyone, we feel very lucky that we found it. Thank you very much Henriette and Ian for opening your home to us."
