  • AWESOME

"We just got back from a 10 day trip to Puerto Rico including a week at Casa Plamas. The process of working with Ken to line this up was quick and easy. The house was awesome and very clean. Lots of room (we had 9 people) a great location, and it had anything we needed. The beach was about 2 blocks or a 3 minute walk from the front door. We were in the ocean everyday for snorkeling or swimming so the short walk was nice. Great location for other beaches nearby, stores, and downtown. We would absolutely stay at Casa Palmas again. • Awesome home and Holiday!

"Sorry for the delay in writing up this review, however better late than never! 12 of my clsest friends and myself traveled to the Moonraker at the end of July. Upon arrival the home was EXACTLY as described if not better. I guess one of the reasons I haven't written sooner is how many times can you say the house was Amazing??! I read all the previous reviews. The one aspect that I woud like to commend the owners on was the housekeeping staff. Georgia and Danielle were delightful and willing to help with anything we needed! As for the house it seems that much thought went into all the finishes and nothing was left to chance! I would absolutely recommend to anyone this home for a fabulous vacation. The views were spectacular! Working with the owner Paul was just a pleasure and the staff at Island Dreams were very accommodating. One interesting thing that happened to our group was a tropical storm hit the area our last night. The Management Company was on the phone with us first thing in the morning explaining that the ferry had shut down but not to worry they had been in contact with the owner and that we could stay safely in the home while we waited out the storm. That was just such a nice touch to us to know that we weren't being kicked out to make our way. We did manage to make it out by flying to St. Maarteen and to our delight, rumbling up the road was Georgia and Danielle coming to say goodbye! I noticed several of us had tears in our eyes having beentreated like family by these 2 dear woman. If we ever go back to Anguilla we all know where we will be staying!! Thank You again Paul for making our holiday a lovely one!!"

  • Shangri-La With Sugar on Top

"Paradise found! How to count the ways...mornings on the pool deck just steps away from the condo would have been hard to tear away from if there weren't so much else to see and do! Browsing and beaching in Red Hook; ferrying to St. John for shopping; eating meals fresh from the bay at dockside tables w/ panoramic vistas and gently tickled everywhere you go by the sea breeze...the resort staff was at our service for free shuttles to & fro and right on the mark w/ suggestions about the ways and means of island life. The free snorkel gear they offer came in handy at both Lindquist and Coki beaches where the sand was white and the tropical fish were both plentiful and colorful. The pictures here of views from the condo terrace barely hint @ the actual beauty of them. Go and see for yourselves - we can't wait to get back!"

St. Vincent & the Grenadines Travel Tips

Visitors to St. Vincent Vacation Rentals

St. Vincent is part of a group of islands known as the Grenadines. The island is located in the Caribbean Sea, approximately 100 miles west of the island of Barbados and between Grenada and Saint Lucia. It is one of the lesser-known vacation destinations in the Caribbean and attracts those who are looking for a quieter beach vacation where they can enjoy the natural surroundings of the island and take part in a range of water sport activities at leisure. Many visitors are scuba diving enthusiasts who come to explore the beautiful coral reefs.

Stylish Paradise at St. Vincent Villas

When you arrive at your St. Vincent villa, it is likely that you will be greeted with a friendly smile and a quick orientation of your home. Once you have settled in, you can admire the awesome views out over the bay. Many of the vacation homes on St. Vincent are located on the beachfront or just up on the hillside so you can appreciate the beautiful island surroundings. The homes vary in size and style from quaint cottages to stylish modern villas. Living areas generally open up onto an outdoor deck where you can enjoy meals and socialize. Most homes have televisions and entertainment centers. The kitchens are functional with a host of modern appliances to make vacation catering easy. Often the bedrooms will also lead out onto private decks so you can enjoy breakfast on the patio if you so choose.

Best Time of Year St. Vincent Resort Rentals

If you are looking to escape the colder winter weather from your hometown in the United States or Canada, look to the tropical paradise of St. Vincent. The best time of year to travel here is in the northern hemisphere's winter months which run from December to April. The days are still nice and sunny, and the humidity is also much less than during the summer months. In general, there is little seasonal temperature difference; rather it is the humidity that makes it feel hotter. Rainfall occurs throughout the year but is most frequent in the summer months which run from June to October. Occasional tropical storms can blow through and these occur most often in August and September. Aside from this time of year, St. Vincent has ideal weather for a year-round vacation.

Attractions at Caribbean Vacation Rentals in St. Vincent

St. Vincent is unique in that it is one of the few Caribbean islands to have both black and white sand beaches. Because it is a volcanic island, the vast majority of the beaches are black sand. The landscape of the island is dominated by the active volcano of La Soufriere which last erupted in 1979. Prior to that, it had two previous recorded eruptions in 1812 and 1902. If you want to explore the island's interior, you can join up with a rainforest eco-tour. The knowledgeable local guides will take you on a journey that will highlight the island's geological history and stunning fauna and flora.

Some of the island's main attractions are the many water sport activities that are available. The island is surrounded by colorful tropical reefs which are ideal for scuba diving. Some are also shallow enough to enjoy just via snorkeling. Because of the consistent trade winds, St. Vincent is a popular sailing destination. At the local marina, you can inquire about yacht charters. There are many skippers who will gladly take you out for a day cruise on the ocean. You can drop anchor near one of the secluded coves and swim ashore to enjoy a picnic.
