  • Couldn't have had a better experience!

"We had such a wonderful time in St John, and the lovely and relaxing Bambooshay Villa was a huge part of what made our trip great. The pictures don't lie- the views from the porch really are that breath taking! It was just the two of us for this trip and the villa was just the right size, although we are already planning a return trip and hope to bring our young son, who would have no trouble sleeping on the couch in the living room. (Even though the porch is high up, it's very safe and the front yard is flat and fenced- safe for kids.) The location was just right- convenient to town for groceries and evening cocktails, but secluded enough to feel like a private oasis. Tom and Melody, the property managers, were extremely helpful and made us feel very safe and comfortable. We had a small problem with the water cistern one evening, and Tom was there literally minutes after we called him to do the repairs. Our favorite beaches were Salt Pond and Haulover, both near Bambooshay- great snorkeling, and the hike to Ram Head from Salt Pond was a highlight of the trip. Another favorite part was falling asleep at night with the sound of tree frogs outside the bedroom window. Would definitely recommend this place to just about anyone."

  • We are First Time Belizers.

"We are first time Belizers who have now been converted to Believers. Before deciding to come to Belize with my wife and 13 year old daughter and 8 year old son, we thought about going to Costa Rica but decided against it because the range of options was a little too diverse for us to quickly decide about. We also considered Mexico because it's close but spent the last couple trips in Mexico and wanted something a bit different. Coming from Los,Angeles the flight is only 4:40 minutes and was very manageable, which is always a concern when traveling with kids. We arrived in Belize City and took a taxi to the water taxi, which was about an hour boat ride to Ambergriss Caye. We were met by the management company at the pier who then taxied us to the condo/complex and gave us a small tour. What attracted us to this spot, among other things, was that the place has three bedrooms. Since my son and daughter usually fight when they share a room, it was nice to have a place where they could each have their own room. The air conditioner in the apt. Is preset to 78 degrees which provides for a refreshing breeze when coming inside from the outside heat. The room has a nice view over the pool and of the Carribbean. My wife and I enjoyed sitting on the balcony and watching the kids swim and/or enjoying some coffee or a soda. The unit has a comfortable couch, which is the focal point of the unit and a nice tv with cable. In front of the unit, you will find some locals that sell fruits, cakes and things to eat from time to time. Otherwise, there Is a Convenience store right next door. The building is centrally located just blocks from the south north divide and bridge and movie theatre, which unfortunately only opens in weekends, on the south side. Father north, but within walking distance are all kinds of fun local shops. Also, lots of shops are on the beach and if you are a diver like me, there is a great dive shop just a couple of blocks away. The lodging on the island is a hodgepodge of upscale luxury resorts, diving resorts, private homes and for lack of a better word, shacks. August is supposedly the hurricane season, but we didn't see any hurricanes. August supposedly experiences more rain but even though the weather forecast predicted rain every day during our stay we didn't see any rain. There is really much more I can say but there is no room. All in all, had a great time and I am lamenting my return on this last day. Great, great time diving too."

  • Jamaica retreat

"This is a wonderful condo for a family vacation. The upstairs master bedroom is private and spacious, with shower and bathroom. The other 2 bedrooms are big and have their own bathroom as well. The kitchen, living room and dining area are lovely. The pool is clean and a fun activity plus Karen provides a pass for a beach that is close and a nice ocean experience, clean with lounge chairs on beach (there is not beach access at the condo) I agree that a car is necessary if you want to do anything besides relax at the condo. The pictures she has posted are exactly as it is! Lovely, we enjoyed it very much."

  • Incredible offeringes at Casita Sirena

"We had a marvelous time at Casita Sirena & visiting the islands surrounding. There is plenty of privacy if you want to just chill, sleep in, go for quiet walks on a very private beach while gazing out at the beautiful crystal clear blue waters or hang poolside to enjoy lounging or grilling out. The Ferry is nearby to go to the North & Middle Caicos areas that offer some extraordinary adventure through caves and various trails, delightful eatery by the Sea "Daniel's Cafe" and sights (Mudjin Harbor) or if you prefer, hang back in Provo for some local fun at the Thursday Fish Fry or indulge in a delightful Conch meal at any of the various restaurants along Grace Bay. A short distance away Chalk Sound is a lovely area and offers enchanting views but very family friendly for little ones due to the safety of the shallow waters. An amazing part of the trip was joining friends on a sailboat for an all day excursion, the sights are extraordinary from that perspective. The best part of the trip was spent with the owners Marsha & Richard working at the coral nursery that she as a marine ecologist so lovingly tends to. We can't wait for the launch of the "adopt a coral" program. We are eager to support this wonderful program. Over 8 days, we covered a lot of ground but there is so much more to see and do next time. I highly recommend this property and suggest you bring along as many "staples" you can if you would like to keep your food costs down so you can split the difference between going on an excursion or dining beachside with a bottle of wine."
