  • Our perfect vacation

"This lovely house is prettier than the pictures and the seclusion is wonderful. The best thing about this vacation was the people from Green Turtle Cay. We had a little medical emergency that cut our trip short, but the people were so helpful and genuinely concerned! This place and the home are a definite repeat-without the medical emergency of course!"

  • Wonderful Hospitality

"I came to St. John for Carnival once again and had a great time. I lived on island at one time, so I am familiar with the different places you can stay. This villa is a true hidden gem. As a woman traveling alone, this villa provided complete privacy without losing the quaint island feel. The screened in veranda was fantastic as I was able to enjoy dining al fresco without any bugs. Awesome. The owners were very friendly and helpful when anything was needed. I highly recommend this villa for your next trip to St. John."

  • fantastic! great family residence!

"wow! did this place ever impress! the residence was perfect in every way. we had our 2 children with us, ages 9 and 2, and everything was more than we could have dreamed of! the gardens were beautiful. the house was nicely appointed. the pool was refreshing every time we went in...and that was generally 3 times a day. upon arrival, paul met us at the airport and picked us up. upon arriving at the house, paul & gail took care of us that first nite as we arrived late and our 2 yr old was tired from two 18 hr days of traveling. they took great care of us. made sure we were fed & made sure we knew how things worked. after some sleep, we woke up the next morning & walked into town (10 min) and went to get our rented bikes (reserved by gail). for 2 weeks we simply rode bikes everywhere. what a fantastic location. no need to rent a car unless you are going to the ruins. got groceries on our bikes and returned beer bottles and cases on bikes. what activities we chose to do, gail arranged for us. this was like having our own personal assistant while on vacation. everything that was arranged was top notch! monkey river, snorkeling, fishing. the property was described accurately. the property was very clean & very well maintained. in fact, the only drawback for us was the constant care that has to go on to the property to keep it beautifully maintained. lots of gardeners, painters, etc. we felt badly swimming in the pool while they were all sweating away and working so hard. even though all the guys were working, they were respectful and very nice to us and our kids. they loved the kids! if we were going to placencia again, we would love to stay at this beautiful home. we were not disappointed at all and were very pleased with our decision to book and stay for 2 weeks. this was a definite favorite vacation for all 4 of us."

St. Vincent & the Grenadines Travel Tips

Visitors to St. Vincent Vacation Rentals

St. Vincent is part of a group of islands known as the Grenadines. The island is located in the Caribbean Sea, approximately 100 miles west of the island of Barbados and between Grenada and Saint Lucia. It is one of the lesser-known vacation destinations in the Caribbean and attracts those who are looking for a quieter beach vacation where they can enjoy the natural surroundings of the island and take part in a range of water sport activities at leisure. Many visitors are scuba diving enthusiasts who come to explore the beautiful coral reefs.

Stylish Paradise at St. Vincent Villas

When you arrive at your St. Vincent villa, it is likely that you will be greeted with a friendly smile and a quick orientation of your home. Once you have settled in, you can admire the awesome views out over the bay. Many of the vacation homes on St. Vincent are located on the beachfront or just up on the hillside so you can appreciate the beautiful island surroundings. The homes vary in size and style from quaint cottages to stylish modern villas. Living areas generally open up onto an outdoor deck where you can enjoy meals and socialize. Most homes have televisions and entertainment centers. The kitchens are functional with a host of modern appliances to make vacation catering easy. Often the bedrooms will also lead out onto private decks so you can enjoy breakfast on the patio if you so choose.

Best Time of Year St. Vincent Resort Rentals

If you are looking to escape the colder winter weather from your hometown in the United States or Canada, look to the tropical paradise of St. Vincent. The best time of year to travel here is in the northern hemisphere's winter months which run from December to April. The days are still nice and sunny, and the humidity is also much less than during the summer months. In general, there is little seasonal temperature difference; rather it is the humidity that makes it feel hotter. Rainfall occurs throughout the year but is most frequent in the summer months which run from June to October. Occasional tropical storms can blow through and these occur most often in August and September. Aside from this time of year, St. Vincent has ideal weather for a year-round vacation.

Attractions at Caribbean Vacation Rentals in St. Vincent

St. Vincent is unique in that it is one of the few Caribbean islands to have both black and white sand beaches. Because it is a volcanic island, the vast majority of the beaches are black sand. The landscape of the island is dominated by the active volcano of La Soufriere which last erupted in 1979. Prior to that, it had two previous recorded eruptions in 1812 and 1902. If you want to explore the island's interior, you can join up with a rainforest eco-tour. The knowledgeable local guides will take you on a journey that will highlight the island's geological history and stunning fauna and flora.

Some of the island's main attractions are the many water sport activities that are available. The island is surrounded by colorful tropical reefs which are ideal for scuba diving. Some are also shallow enough to enjoy just via snorkeling. Because of the consistent trade winds, St. Vincent is a popular sailing destination. At the local marina, you can inquire about yacht charters. There are many skippers who will gladly take you out for a day cruise on the ocean. You can drop anchor near one of the secluded coves and swim ashore to enjoy a picnic.
