  • Amazing anniversary trip

"We stayed at the villa for 2 weeks the end of June for our 30th wedding anniversary. The villa was awesome. We really enjoyed the pool and used it everyday when we returned from the beach. We went to the different beaches everyday for 13 days in a row and found our favorites and returned a few times. The villa is very private and we enjoyed our two weeks there. The pictures and descriptions were accurate and it was very nice having air conditioning in both the living room area and bedrooms. Often we didn't even use it as there was an amazing breeze when the doors were opened to the pool. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and the housekeeping service spoiled us everyday by doing our dishes. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to explore st. Bart's and we hope to return some day soon. Thanks Nick and Lisa"

  • A gem!

"We have rented many times through VRBO. On the Rocks is by far the best-stocked rental ever. As others have said, you do NOT need to bring anything but your clothes and some toiletries with you. Margaret was so easy to work with. She made arranging this rental a breeze. She even set up our jeep rental for us, met us at the ferry and gave us a quick orienting tour of Cruz Bay. She was so helpful, non-intrusive, warm and friendly. We enjoyed listening to her stories and suggestions. The kitchen is so well stocked-including plastic containers, many herbs and spices, plenty of pots and utensils. And, I highly recommend you check out what items are already there before you get anything from the grocery store. Margaret even had a nice basket of snack items for us. The bedding and towels are good--and there are PLENTY of towels. Lots of snorkel gear. Plenty of books. You name it, she's already got it. We enjoyed snorkeling right from the beach there-and saw plenty-including sting rays. The pool is such a nice extra. We had many dinners at the house-used the gas grill and ate out next to the pool. She has journals there with many years of remarks from many renters--so many come back year after year. It is a great location-if you want to be close enough to 'town' but also not 'surrounded' by crowds."

  • Great place to stay

"I had never been to Tortolla but I am certainly glad I decided to spend a week there! It was a lot of fun and all of the local Tortolla people were very friendly. Casa Luna was very beautiful with a great view of the surrounding area as you lounge around the pool. You can get to a pretty isolated and quite section of the beach with just a 5-10 minute walk. Casa Luna was also equipped with everything I needed to have a good time including a grill and snorkel gear. I really don't think you could go wrong with deciding to stay here during your vacation."

  • Great Penthouse Condo!

"We stretched our budget a bit when we selected this rental, but we're very glad we did! The condo is beautiful, with generously-sized rooms. With 5 adults, there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out and relax. The view from the lanai is fantastic, and the breezes made it comfortable no matter the temperature. It was convenient to be within walking distance of the shops and restaurants in town. The condo is exactly as pictured (except for the lack of mosquito nets, as mentioned by another reviewer), so what you see is what you get. The owner was helpful, answering my many questions about the rental and Bonaire in general (it was our first time to the island.) Sebastiono, the property manager was waiting for us when we got to the island and met us in the early morning hours when we left for home. One comment that has nothing to do with the condo itself: the local residents like to celebrate the New Year with LOTS of fireworks. We heard them periodically the entire week we were on the island, but the show at midnight was spectacular. Good thing the bedrooms were air conditioned, because the explosions made it was impossible to sleep with the windows open!"

St. Vincent & the Grenadines Travel Tips

Visitors to St. Vincent Vacation Rentals

St. Vincent is part of a group of islands known as the Grenadines. The island is located in the Caribbean Sea, approximately 100 miles west of the island of Barbados and between Grenada and Saint Lucia. It is one of the lesser-known vacation destinations in the Caribbean and attracts those who are looking for a quieter beach vacation where they can enjoy the natural surroundings of the island and take part in a range of water sport activities at leisure. Many visitors are scuba diving enthusiasts who come to explore the beautiful coral reefs.

Stylish Paradise at St. Vincent Villas

When you arrive at your St. Vincent villa, it is likely that you will be greeted with a friendly smile and a quick orientation of your home. Once you have settled in, you can admire the awesome views out over the bay. Many of the vacation homes on St. Vincent are located on the beachfront or just up on the hillside so you can appreciate the beautiful island surroundings. The homes vary in size and style from quaint cottages to stylish modern villas. Living areas generally open up onto an outdoor deck where you can enjoy meals and socialize. Most homes have televisions and entertainment centers. The kitchens are functional with a host of modern appliances to make vacation catering easy. Often the bedrooms will also lead out onto private decks so you can enjoy breakfast on the patio if you so choose.

Best Time of Year St. Vincent Resort Rentals

If you are looking to escape the colder winter weather from your hometown in the United States or Canada, look to the tropical paradise of St. Vincent. The best time of year to travel here is in the northern hemisphere's winter months which run from December to April. The days are still nice and sunny, and the humidity is also much less than during the summer months. In general, there is little seasonal temperature difference; rather it is the humidity that makes it feel hotter. Rainfall occurs throughout the year but is most frequent in the summer months which run from June to October. Occasional tropical storms can blow through and these occur most often in August and September. Aside from this time of year, St. Vincent has ideal weather for a year-round vacation.

Attractions at Caribbean Vacation Rentals in St. Vincent

St. Vincent is unique in that it is one of the few Caribbean islands to have both black and white sand beaches. Because it is a volcanic island, the vast majority of the beaches are black sand. The landscape of the island is dominated by the active volcano of La Soufriere which last erupted in 1979. Prior to that, it had two previous recorded eruptions in 1812 and 1902. If you want to explore the island's interior, you can join up with a rainforest eco-tour. The knowledgeable local guides will take you on a journey that will highlight the island's geological history and stunning fauna and flora.

Some of the island's main attractions are the many water sport activities that are available. The island is surrounded by colorful tropical reefs which are ideal for scuba diving. Some are also shallow enough to enjoy just via snorkeling. Because of the consistent trade winds, St. Vincent is a popular sailing destination. At the local marina, you can inquire about yacht charters. There are many skippers who will gladly take you out for a day cruise on the ocean. You can drop anchor near one of the secluded coves and swim ashore to enjoy a picnic.
