  • Exactly How STJ should be done

"My girlfriend and I stayed at Simply St John 2/9/15 - 2/13/15 and can't wait to get back. The other reviews here have all the amenities covered. A couple things demand emphasis: 1. The view is perfect. From the second you walk from your Jeep (yes, rent one) through the swinging doors it's all right in front of you. The cottages are perched high up on the hill so there's nothing obstructing the view of coral bay and there's always a nice breeze. 2. Even though there is another property next door, there is a great level of privacy. It was truly the getaway we were looking for. The place is about 30 mins leisurely jeep ride from Cruz Bay past all the North shore beaches out to Coral Bay. Maho and Trunk (both awesome) are within a 10-20 min drive. Always able to fit the Jeep somewhere so bouncing around is easy. The owners have left an incredible amount of helpful information regarding beaches, restaurants, etc. and I can't wait to get back and explore some more."

  • Exactly what we were looking for

"We stayed in the smaller house. Plenty of room for 4 including 2 teenagers. The house was in immaculate condition and was FULLY equipped. The view of the bay and St Thomas in the distance was spectacular. Having the kayaks was a big attraction and we used them a lot. Michelle met us at the Jeep rental and gave as a thorough orientation to the island, including a stop at the market and leading us to the house. We would stay here again and highly recommend this property. Everything on the island is an easy drive from the house and the breeze blows all day."

  • Great House, Great Week

"Our family of five (kids 9,7, and 4) stayed for a wonderful week in Harbour Island, and Afterthought exceeded our needs and expectations. The location is central to everything--easy walk to stores, restaurants and the bay--but it feels away from the buzz of town. We usually took a golf cart to the beach because of the kids, but if you like to walk it's a very doable trek to the pink sands. The garden and patio feel lush and private because they have been so thoughtfully appointed and landscaped. The back deck is large and full of comfortable chairs and tables, and the pool is an awesome bonus. My kids spent hours in it everyday. The inside of the house is modern, comfortable and well furnished. The upstairs bedrooms are particularly charming and have great views. But the biggest thing that makes the house stand apart is that it has all the things vacation homes usually lack, like quality mattresses, nice linens, plenty of pillows, a reading lamp right where you need it, a fully-stocked kitchen, and ample glasses and silverware. The owners have also thoughtfully provided all of those little things you hate to have to buy or travel with, like hand soap, dish soap, paper towels, trash bags and cards and board games. They have also provided some big extras like beach chairs and kayaks. It's so easy to come here and just enjoy the island. And, of course, it was heaven to have Francine come and lighten the cleaning load. Made it even more of a vacation."

  • Great Location and Awesome View!!

"This was our first trip without children since our honeymoon - 25 years ago. The condo has everything you need. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony and enjoying the beautiful view. It is an easy walk to restaurants and the food kiosks. The local beaches offer surfing, body boarding and a calm beach if you have little ones. The location also provides easy access for day trips. El Yunque is minutes away. We also had an easy day trip to Patillas. The owner is very easy to communicate with and very responsive to questions. We had a great week and highly recommend this condo if you are seeking a relaxing and fun-filled vacation."
